When Mirath first released her power into the mortal realm, she honestly didn't think much of it.
After all, she was a Goddess.
Her power belonged to her and regardless of where she placed it, she could always retrieve it whenever she wished. It might take a considerable amount of time for her to gather everything back but that was hardly something worth worrying about.
She had existed for countless years, after all.
A few more centuries wouldn't make much difference to her.
At least, that was what she had initially believed.
Unfortunately, things did not go according to her expectations.
What Mirath failed to consider was that her decision had not been made under ordinary circumstances.
At the time, both she and her sister, Khaeren, had been overwhelmed by emotions that neither of them could properly control. Their actions, combined with the release of their respective powers into the mortal realm, had unknowingly triggered an ancient rule governing the balance of the world.
