Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: The Little Sun Reluctantly Returns to Mondstadt

Su Han certainly understood the issue with cultivation aptitude. He also didn't have Ma Xianhong's furnace, so he couldn't create a large number of extraordinary beings.

But just because not everyone could cultivate didn't mean mass cultivation was impossible.

Su Han smiled faintly and said to Keqing, "I think you've misunderstood me. Indeed, the Golden Light Mantra can be popularized, but it's impossible for every member of the Qianyan Army to learn it. However, don't forget, if the Qianyan Army is vast enough, even if only ten percent of them master it, that's still an enormous number, isn't it?"

Now that he knew the Abyss was hunting him, Su Han naturally wouldn't just sit and wait for death. Strengthening the Qianyan Army's power had become an urgent matter.

Even putting that aside, that terrifying powder keg known as The Chasm, others might not know what lay within, but he was perfectly clear about it.

Without a force capable of countering the Abyss, The Chasm would inevitably become a huge problem in the future.

Only now did Keqing understand Su Han's intention. She was silent for a moment before saying, "Although you're doing this for your own protection, I still have to thank you on behalf of all the Qianyan Army."

Liyue Harbor's current prosperity was inseparable from the efforts of the Qianyan Army. But they were made of flesh and blood, they could be injured, suffer, and die. Su Han's willingness to pass on a cultivation method to all of them would greatly enhance their strength.

That was truly a great favor.

Su Han shook his head. "No need to thank me. I'm from Liyue. Of course, I want my homeland to be safer and more prosperous."

Hearing that, both Keqing and Ningguang smiled.

After eating and drinking their fill, Su Han noticed that Klee hadn't said a word for a while. When he turned to look, he saw that she and Yaoyao had already fallen asleep on the bed.

Ganyu, who had been watching over them, raised a finger to her lips, signaling for silence.

Ningguang lowered her voice and said, "Let's move somewhere else. These two little ones took turns guarding you all afternoon. No matter how we tried, we couldn't get them to leave."

"They really worked hard."

Su Han's heart warmed as he spoke softly.

When they went outside, the moon was already high in the sky.

Looking up at the bright moon, everyone sat down to continue discussing their next steps.

Ningguang suggested training a special division first. Those members could then select the most loyal soldiers to pass the technique down to. This would help delay the spread of the Golden Light Mantra.

Keqing, on the other hand, believed that everyone who learned the Golden Light Mantra should sign a contract, once anyone leaked it, they would be punished by the Geo Lord himself.

Ganyu, the most devoted follower of the Geo Lord, raised both hands in agreement.

After that discussion ended, Ningguang suggested that Su Han move to the Jade Chamber. That way, his cultivation methods would remain safe and secret, after all, everyone allowed into the Jade Chamber was absolutely loyal to her.

Su Han shook his head. "That might not be a good idea."

"Why not?"

Ningguang was confused. It was the first time she had ever invited a man to stay in the Jade Chamber, yet he refused.

Whether considering safety or secrecy, the Jade Chamber was clearly the best option.

Seeing her puzzled expression, Su Han leaned closer and whispered, "Where I live is near the Adepti. Lately, the immortals from Jueyun Karst have been visiting often. If I suddenly move away, that immortal might stop coming because of you and Keqing."

At his words, Ningguang immediately understood.

She had almost forgotten, Su Han wasn't just a manga shop owner; he bore the mission of uniting the people of Liyue and the Adepti.

Things had only just begun to improve. If Su Han suddenly left, the relationship between mortals and immortals would likely freeze over again.

That was something none of them wanted to see.

Ningguang sighed softly and said, "You really have it hard."

"Not at all. Since I bear this responsibility, I have to keep moving forward. Besides, the Abyss isn't something worth hiding from. To tell you the truth, Ningguang, I've already prepared a big gift for them."

Su Han smiled faintly. He didn't think much of it. Since the Abyss dared to ambush him, they should be ready to face his retaliation.

Seeing the confident man before her, Ningguang asked with concern, "You're not planning to do anything dangerous, are you?"

"No, of course not. I wouldn't throw myself into danger."

Su Han shook his head and continued, "You remember what I told you before about Mondstadt, right? The root cause of the dragon disaster there is the Abyss's doing. Just watch, I'll make them learn a lesson, even without going there myself."

"As long as you're not going personally. If you need anything, just tell the people at Yujing Terrace to handle it. And if that's not enough, come to me."

Keqing also volunteered, saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Since the Abyss is everyone's enemy now, of course I'll help."

Su Han smiled. "Of course."

They talked for a long time, until late into the night, before finally parting ways.

Since Klee and Yaoyao were both in the Jade Chamber, Su Han decided not to return home and rested nearby instead.

The next day.

When the two little girls woke up, they were met with bad news, Klee was going to be escorted back to Mondstadt. Though the little girl had achieved great merit by defeating the Abyssal monsters, she was still too young.

If she stayed in Liyue any longer, the Knights of Favonius might personally come to take her back.

Considering that, Su Han suggested that Ganyu escort her home herself.

Little Klee looked at Su Han with teary eyes and said sadly, "B-big brother, will you really come to Mondstadt to see Klee? Klee doesn't want to leave you… or Xiangling, or Yaoyao."

"Of course. I already have a shop in Mondstadt now. I'll be heading there soon. Besides, Mondstadt needs your help right now. If you leave, Amber and Kaeya will have a hard time.

And don't forget the letter I gave you, you must deliver it to Acting Grand Master Jean."

"Mm! Klee will keep it safe! I won't lose it, I promise!"

Hearing that, Klee's spirits lifted again. She nodded vigorously, promising she'd complete her mission.

Then, under Ganyu's escort, the little girl waved her tiny hands and left the Jade Chamber.

Though they had only spent a single day together, Su Han couldn't help but feel that Klee was simply too adorable. If his daughter were that cute in the future, he'd be more than satisfied.

After taking care of matters there, Su Han didn't linger. He gave the Qianyan Army some more cultivation guidance and returned to Yujing Terrace.

The streets were still bustling as always, showing no signs of yesterday's explosion.

Even the number of manga buyers hadn't decreased at all.

Seeing that, Su Han finally relaxed. Over the coming days, he planned to focus on selling more manga and collecting more treasures, because the next time the Abyss appeared, there might not be a little sun around to help him.

In the throne room of the Abyss.

Aether sat upon the Chaotic Throne, looking coldly at the three Abyssal Apostles kneeling before him. "So," he said in a frosty voice, "Kariya is dead?"
