Chapter 69: Controlling the Entire Field? Sorry—You Can't Predict Me!

"Nice one!"

After Kira Ryosuke scored, the rest of his teammates immediately gathered around him to celebrate.

This time, Kira had single-handedly devoured Itoshi Rin.

To defeat someone of Rin's monstrous level in a one-on-one attack directly boosted the entire team's morale.

...

"Kira is actually this strong…?"

In the monitoring room, Anri Teieri voiced her admiration. Kira Ryosuke's strength was far beyond what she had expected.

Terrifying speed and vertical leap destroyed Rin's almost-guaranteed goal, and then he beat Rin again in a 1v1 offensive duel.

Anri originally believed Kira was very strong, but slightly weaker than Rin — after all, Rin truly was a one-in-a-thousand prodigy, and the younger brother of the world-class genius Itoshi Sae.

In the previous round, Rin had effortlessly defeated Isagi Yoichi's team.

Before, there had been no direct comparison. But now that they were confronting each other head-on, Anri discarded her earlier view.

She realized she had drastically underestimated Kira.

Not only that — Anri also sensed that Kira had grown even stronger than before.

"That's why I said it — he's the most terrifying guy in Blue Lock. And it's not just his own strength. Anri, I wonder if you noticed: whether it's opponents or teammates, anyone who plays with Kira Ryosuke ends up growing explosively stronger."

Ego Jinpachi leaned forward, staring at the screen without blinking.

"The real show is only beginning. Rin should finally get serious now. Let's see just how far Kira Ryosuke pushes him. His pride must've taken a massive hit. And the stronger that pressure becomes… the stronger Rin will explode."

...

"What stylish dribbling and scoring. I didn't expect Rin to be beaten like that."

Aryu Jyubei praised in awe.

"Oh no oh no, we let them score again! What do we do? What do we do?!"

Tokimitsu panicked.

Bachira Meguru walked over to Rin and reached out a hand to help him up — only for Rin to slap it away:

"Get lost."

Rin stood up by himself, voice full of anger.

"Guess it's about time I got serious."

Bachira wasn't angered by Rin's behavior — instead, an excited grin spread across his face.

Because the monster in his heart told him Rin was now fully serious.

"What an infuriating guy."

Rin brushed up his hair. His expression didn't change much, but flames seemed to burn in his eyes.

The way Kira had broken his ankles and dropped him to the ground made Rin's rage boil. To be knocked down like that — he was furious enough to tear Kira apart.

"From here on, I'm going all out. Keep up."

Rin glanced at his teammates with an unquestionable tone.

"Got it."

Bachira smiled.

Very soon, the Red Team launched another attack. Rin dribbled rapidly past the halfway line and directly confronted Kira Ryosuke.

At this moment, the contempt in Rin's eyes was gone — replaced by something else.

A hatred that wouldn't fade until he tore his opponent to pieces.

"I'll retract my earlier words. I admit you're no insect — you're a pest. A pest that must be exterminated."

Rin's voice was icy.

"Seems you still haven't learned your lesson."

Kira replied with a smile.

Rin didn't continue dribbling — he passed the ball sideways toward Tokimitu Aoshi, who was sprinting forward.

But Kunigami Rensuke was there too!

"I can get it! I should reach it first!"

Kunigami sprinted toward the landing point—

But the moment the ball touched the turf, it suddenly bounced toward Tokimitsu!

Rin had added spin the instant he kicked it, causing it to rebound precisely toward Tokimitsu after hitting the ground.

Not only did this give Tokimitsu immediate possession — it also lured Kunigami out of his defensive zone!

Tokimitsu trapped the ball firmly under his feet, turning instantly while shielding Kunigami with his powerful physique.

"What the hell is this guy's body made of?!"

Kunigami was stunned the moment they made contact. His own physique was incredibly strong, sharpened by harsh long-term training — yet here, he couldn't gain any advantage at all.

Tokimitsu didn't cling to the ball. He immediately turned and passed it back to Rin, who was charging at high speed toward the opponent's heart.

But Rin didn't hold the ball either. With a dramatic curve, he launched a pass across the field.

His target was Aryu Jyubei, who was cutting in.

"Rin is willingly sharing possession like this?"

At that moment, Niko Ikki's mind raced. He was using his spatial awareness to analyze Rin's plan.

He could feel that Rin was scheming something — but he still couldn't see what it was.

"What is he planning?!"

Meanwhile, Aryu lifted his head. The pass was high — impossibly high for most players.

But Aryu Jyubei could reach it.

With terrifying jumping power and incredibly long limbs, Aryu possessed unmatched air superiority.

"This is like a pressure pass testing my personal ability… Very well. I accept! There is only one stylish option!"

Aryu rocketed upward, controlling the ball mid-air with his chest — but the moment he landed, a figure appeared before him.

Nagi Seishiro. Knowing he couldn't match Aryu's jump, he had immediately taken position instead of contesting the ball.

Aryu advanced while surveying the field. At his side, a swift silhouette burst through.

Rin!

"So sneaky, Rin. Showing up at this timing — I'm basically forced to pass to you!"

Aryu's only choice was to send the ball to Rin.

But the instant Rin received it, Niko Ikki appeared in front of him.

"Just as I thought! All the passes were to set up your own attack — this was your plan!"

With the same whole-field vision, Niko had deciphered Rin's strategy and cut off the attack route.

In this moment, Niko felt the gap between him and Rin shrink. He believed he could finally stop Rin's offensive!

But Rin showed no surprise at his appearance.

As if he had known all along that Niko would be exactly there.

"So you have eyes like mine. But do you really think I can't see the scene you're seeing?"

Rin spoke arrogantly, as if Niko were nothing but an insignificant being.

Then suddenly, Rin lifted his leg — as if preparing to shoot. Niko had to step in to block.

His balance shifted — and Rin's movement changed instantly. The shot had been a pure feint. In the moment Niko's center of gravity collapsed, Rin blew past him!

Using his spatial awareness, Rin observed everyone's movement trajectories. From Niko's positioning, he deduced that Niko also had whole-field vision and would appear exactly here.

But Rin wasn't concerned — he wanted a 1v1 with Niko. Physically and technically, Niko couldn't surpass him.

Easily bypassing Niko, Rin surged forward—

And at that instant, a figure appeared at his side.

Kira Ryosuke!

Kira swooped in to press him.

But…

This was all within Rin's calculations.

"Your speed is impressive, but that only worked the first time! Now I know exactly how fast you are! I know your limits!"

Rin shouted, and half a second before Kira reached him, he passed the ball away.

Whether Niko or Kira, Rin had used his movements to drag them into chasing him.

Which left Bachira Meguru completely open!

"You're two steps too slow, Kira Ryosuke!"

...

"Everyone is moving according to Rin's plan?"

Anri Teieri stared in disbelief. From theier perspective, she could see Rin's orchestration more clearly than anyone.

Both teammates and opponents were moving exactly as Rin dictated.

He pushed every player to their limits and guided the entire clash — this was Rin's style of play!

"Everyone is just a puppet being controlled by Rin. Even Kira Ryosuke's movements fall within his calculations. This is puppet-master football."

Anri breathed in awe. This was far beyond simple spatial awareness — it required terrifying football IQ.

"No matter how strong Kira is individually, Rin is still leading him by the nose."

"It's less like puppets…" Ego adjusted his glasses.

"And more like he's placing chains on livestock — forcing them to move. But… don't forget: chains can only restrain livestock."

"A monster can break them effortlessly."

...

"You're two steps too slow, Kira Ryosuke!"

Rin shouted,

"Watch closely — this is the absolute difference between our abilities!"

"Shut up."

Kira replied calmly.

Only then did Rin notice — there wasn't a trace of panic on Kira's face.

Even though Rin's tactical trap had worked perfectly, Kira remained completely unfazed.

Kira understood Rin's strategy: lure him into defending Rin, leaving Bachira wide open — or refuse to defend Rin, allowing him to shoot after bypassing Niko.

It was a near-impossible choice. Every option would lead to conceding a goal.

But for Kira Ryosuke, there was a third option.

"Just two steps behind? Then I just have to catch up."

Kira inhaled sharply — entering Total Concentration Breathing once again.

He had reached Level 3, allowing freer, easier use. He still couldn't maintain it for a whole match, but he could sustain it for at least half of one.

And now was the moment to unleash it.

At Level 3, Thunderclap and Flash exploded with true power.

In less than a tenth of a second, Rin sensed Kira's aura shift dramatically.

Kira focused all his power into his legs.

His blood surged like a raging ocean, pounding through his veins. His taut muscles hardened like unbreakable stone.

Kira Ryosuke would catch Bachira from behind with overwhelming speed.

In the next breath — he was already flying.

Bachira had just received Rin's pass. As he prepared to shoot, a terrifying sensation crawled up his spine — like icy blades piercing straight into his bones.

"H-He's coming! He's coming!!"

The monster in Bachira's heart screamed.

Its voice trembled in fear.

Every cell in Bachira's body sounded the alarm. Instinctively, he turned his head toward the source of the dread behind him.

Only one person could instill such fear into his inner monster.

Kira Ryosuke.

"Y-You've got to be kidding…"

Bachira's voice trembled. For that split second, his body forgot how to move.

Just moments ago, Kira had been standing beside Rin — yet in what felt like an instant, he appeared right behind Bachira.

This guy… was faster than the pass itself?!

To Bachira, Kira resembled a demon awakened from hell, wreathed in unquenchable flames, charging straight at him.

Even the half-second pause was fatal. By the time Bachira tried to shoot — it was already too late.

Interception successful!
