Chapter 58 - chapter 58

The night after the battle in the forest, the air in Hogwarts was heavy with unease. Rumors spread quickly — about the unicorn, about strange lights deep in the woods, about a shadow that fled into the darkness. Only Roy knew the truth.

🌿 A List for Hagrid

The next morning, Roy knocked softly on Hagrid's hut door. The half-giant opened it, looking tired but relieved to see him.

"Roy! How's the unicorn? She… she'll be all right, won't she?"

Roy nodded. "She'll live. But she's weak and pregnant. I'll need a few rare herbs to stabilize her recovery — they only grow in certain parts of the Forbidden Forest."

He handed Hagrid a slip of parchment, neatly inked with names like Moonshade Fern, Silverleaf Moss, and Aster's Bloom.

Hagrid squinted at the paper. "Blimey… some of these are tricky to find. But I'll get 'em fer ye, no problem!"

Roy smiled faintly. "Thank you, Hagrid. Once you gather them, I'll take care of the rest."

That evening, Hagrid returned with a satchel full of fresh herbs, his face beaming despite scratches on his arms. Roy accepted them with gratitude — and with one last glance toward the forest, said quietly,

"Take care, Hagrid. I'll handle the rest from here."

🌌 In the Pocket Dimension

When Roy stepped into his Pocket Dimension, the world shimmered and shifted — from the dark night of Hogwarts to the endless, peaceful expanse of his private sanctuary.

There, under the silver sky, lay the unicorn — weak but breathing steadily. Her coat still glowed faintly with celestial light, her sides heaving as she tried to rest.

Roy approached gently. "Easy there… you're safe now."

He activated his Ope-Ope no Mi ability — the translucent blue Room spreading across the ground, enclosing the unicorn in healing energy. Within moments, the magic worked through her veins, knitting torn flesh and restoring her strength.

He brewed a restorative potion from the herbs Hagrid had gathered, infusing it with a touch of alchemy and magic essence.

The unicorn blinked at him with deep, intelligent eyes before drinking the potion obediently.

A faint glow enveloped her as her vitality returned. She nuzzled Roy's hand, gratitude shining in her gaze.

Roy smiled softly. "You and your child will be safe here. You don't need to fear anyone anymore."

Her voice echoed faintly in his mind — not words, but the clear impression of trust and warmth.

He gestured toward the horizon. "Come, I'd like you to meet some friends."

🐉🕊 The Bonds of Magic

In the far meadow, Dvalin, the majestic dragon, lounged near a crystalline lake, while Articuno glided gracefully overhead, trailing frost in her wake.

When Roy led the unicorn closer, both creatures turned curiously.

Dvalin rumbled softly. "A new guest?"

Roy nodded. "Yes. She was wounded by dark magic. She'll be staying here for a while."

Articuno landed beside the unicorn, chirping a melodic note that made the air shimmer. The unicorn replied with a soft neigh, their magic resonating — light and frost intertwining.

Within moments, the three were playing together in the field, the unicorn's silver mane gleaming under the soft glow of the artificial moon.

Roy watched them with quiet satisfaction. A sanctuary, at last.

He stayed there for a week, tending to the unicorn daily, ensuring her health and her unborn foal's safety. By the end of that week, her strength had fully returned — and she had chosen to remain in the dimension, a guardian of purity among dragons and legends.

📚 Back to Hogwarts

When Roy returned to Hogwarts, he visited Hagrid immediately.

"She's safe," he said simply.

Hagrid's shoulders slumped in relief. "Thank Merlin! I knew ye'd find a way, Roy. Yer a miracle worker, ye are."

Roy chuckled. "Just someone who knows how to care for magical creatures."

🧪 The Substitute

A few days later, news spread through the castle:

"Professor Quirrell's caught a terrible cold! He won't be teaching for a while."

In his place, Professor Snape took over Defence Against the Dark Arts.

While most students groaned, Roy's eyes lit with curiosity. Snape's lessons were intense, detailed, and far more advanced than the usual syllabus.

Roy, ever the quick learner, absorbed everything Snape taught — defensive countercurses, nonverbal hex deflections, even a few subtle dark detection methods.

For the first time, Snape seemed almost… approving.

"At least one of you understands precision," he muttered during practice, though his tone remained dry.

🧹 Quidditch and Calm

Soon after, the Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw match filled the stadium with cheers. Harry led his team with dazzling flying, catching the Snitch in record time.

Roy watched from the stands beside Daphne, Hermione, and Cassandra, smiling faintly. "He's improving fast," Roy said. "With a bit more control, he'll rival the professionals."

For the next two months, life at Hogwarts fell into a comfortable rhythm — classes, study sessions, and quiet afternoons spent with his friends. Roy often joined the Weasley twins in the workshop, refining their prank products with better alchemical reactions, while spending evenings with Cedric discussing spell theory and advanced flying maneuvers.

The days blurred peacefully together — until, once again, the shadows began to stir beneath Hogwarts' walls.
