Chapter 60 - chapter 60

After the battle beneath Hogwarts, Roy walked quietly through the stone corridors toward the Headmaster's office. The gargoyle moved aside as he approached, and soon Roy stood before Dumbledore, who awaited him with that familiar calm, twinkling expression.

Roy placed the Philosopher's Stone on the desk.

"I believe this belongs to you, Professor."

Dumbledore's eyes softened with pride and amusement. "You continue to surprise me, Mr. Valvas. Few in this castle would have acted with such restraint."

Roy simply shrugged. "I just didn't want Voldemort to have it. I'm not much for immortality."

The two talked for a while — about courage, curiosity, and the fine balance between knowledge and temptation. When Roy finally stood to leave, Dumbledore smiled.

"You've done well, Roy. Very well indeed."

Roy nodded slightly and left the office, disappearing into the quiet hallways of Hogwarts.

⚕ Forgotten Sidekick

News soon spread that Harry Potter had been admitted to the hospital wing, recovering from the injuries he suffered beneath the school. Students whispered, speculating what really happened, though few knew the truth.

Two days later, however, Professor McGonagall stormed into Dumbledore's office, looking unusually flustered.

"Albus, it seems Mr. Weasley hasn't attended class or returned to his dorm for two days!"

Dumbledore froze for a moment, visibly embarrassed. "Ah… it seems we've overlooked something rather important."

When they rushed to the third-floor chambers, they found Ronald Weasley still unconscious — buried under the rubble of a fallen knight statue from the chess challenge. The poor boy was pale, bruised, and very much forgotten.

He was quickly taken to the hospital wing, where Madam Pomfrey nearly fainted from frustration at having yet another patient.

When Ron finally awoke, he found himself surrounded by curious classmates. Everyone wanted to know what had happened below Hogwarts.

And Ron — being Ron — began to brag.

At first, his story was simple enough. But with each retelling, new details appeared: flaming monsters, enchanted traps, and even a "duel alongside Roy against Quirrell."

By the end of the week, there were at least seven different versions of Ron's "heroic adventure," circulating through the castle — most of which made him sound like a cross between a knight and a dragon tamer.

Roy, hearing one of those wild stories at breakfast, could only chuckle. "At least he's enjoying the attention."

🦡 Hufflepuff's Triumph

Three days later came the long-awaited final Quidditch match — Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff.

With Harry still in the hospital wing, Gryffindor's morale was low. Hufflepuff, on the other hand, entered the field burning with energy.

Roy flew like a golden streak, weaving through the air with impossible precision. His teamwork with Cedric Diggory was seamless — passes, dodges, and feints so clean that even Slytherins watching from the stands couldn't help but applaud.

By the time the final whistle blew, the scoreboard read:

Hufflepuff – 250Gryffindor – 80

For the first time in decades, Hufflepuff lifted the Quidditch Cup.

The celebration that night was one to remember. The Hufflepuff common room overflowed with laughter and music. Roy invited the Weasley twins, Hermione, Cassandra Vole, Daphne Greengrass, Penelope Clearwater, and Cho Chang to join. Even Fred and George toasted to "Lord Shura's" flying brilliance, earning laughter all around.

📜 The Results

Two days later, Harry was finally released from the hospital wing — just in time for the end-of-year results.

When the grades were posted, the hall erupted:

1st Place: Roy Valvas

2nd Place: Hermione Granger

3rd Place: Daphne Greengrass

4th Place: Cassandra Vole

Hufflepuffs cheered wildly. Even some Ravenclaws joined in, admiring Roy's composure and intellect.

Harry had scraped by with passing marks, while Ron… well, Ron failed three subjects and had to endure Fred and George's endless teasing for it.

Though he tried to laugh it off, jealousy simmered quietly beneath his grin.

🏆 The House Cup

The next morning, during breakfast in the Great Hall, everyone's attention turned to the enchanted hourglasses that held the House Points.

The standings were:

Hufflepuff: 497 points

Slytherin: 462 points

Ravenclaw: 445 points

Gryffindor: 312 points

Gryffindor was dead last — to Ron's horror.

Then Dumbledore rose from his seat, smiling benignly.

"Before we close the year, I have a few last-minute points to award…"

50 points to Harry Potter — for bravery beyond measure.

50 points to Hermione Granger — for logic and intellect.

50 points to Ronald Weasley — for loyalty and persistence.

50 points to Roy Valvas — for unmatched courage, wisdom, and selflessness.

The entire Great Hall buzzed. Gryffindor's gems in the hourglass flared brightly — surging past Slytherin — but Hufflepuff remained at the top.

🦡 Hufflepuff House Wins the House Cup!

The roar that followed nearly shook the hall. Cheers, chants, and music filled the air. For the first time in years, the Badgers were champions.

⚙ The System Awakens

Later, as students packed their trunks and prepared to return home, Roy sat on his bed in the Hufflepuff dorms when a familiar, long-silent chime echoed in his mind.
