Chapter 89 - Chapter 89

It was late — the kind of night when even the portraits slept and the candles burned low, casting long shadows down the stone corridors of Hogwarts. The castle was quiet… too quiet.

That's when the sound of boots echoed through the halls.

Down in Hagrid's hut, the half-giant was sitting with a pot of tea and his loyal Fang when the door burst open. The golden glow of lanterns flooded in — revealing the crimson robes of the Ministry of Magic officials.

At their head was Cornelius Fudge, the Minister himself, looking both apologetic and uncomfortable.

"Hagrid… my dear fellow," Fudge began, fiddling nervously with his bowler hat, "I'm afraid I've got some bad news."

Hagrid stood, frowning. "What's all this about, Minister? I ain't done nothin' wrong!"

But Fudge wouldn't meet his eyes."Two attacks… no culprit. The governors are under pressure. Until this is all cleared up, I'm afraid you'll have to come with us — for questioning."

Roy, standing silently behind the crowd, his diamond-blue eyes reflecting the lamplight, clenched his fists. He could see how deeply Hagrid was hurt — not by the arrest, but by the lack of trust.

Before Roy could step forward, a tall figure in emerald robes arrived — his silver hair glinting under the torchlight.

Albus Dumbledore.

Calm, serene, and timeless as always.

"Cornelius," Dumbledore said softly, "you know as well as I do that Rubeus Hagrid is not responsible for this. Taking him will not solve the mystery."

Fudge sighed. "Maybe not, Albus, maybe not. But the Ministry has to act. The people demand results."

Dumbledore's gaze hardened slightly. "Then act with wisdom, not fear."

The moment was tense — until a slow clap echoed down the corridor.

Lucius Malfoy appeared, leaning elegantly on his cane, his face wearing that familiar aristocratic smirk.

"Well, well," he drawled, "a touching scene, Headmaster. But I'm afraid the matter has already been decided."

He held out a rolled parchment — sealed with wax.

"The Board of Governors," Lucius announced, "have voted to remove you, Dumbledore, from your position as Headmaster of Hogwarts."

The silence that followed was suffocating.

Fudge looked uneasy, McGonagall's eyes widened in disbelief, and even Snape's lips twitched faintly.

Dumbledore merely smiled — a faint, knowing smile."If the Board believes this is necessary, then I will step aside," he said quietly.

He turned toward Lucius, his blue eyes glimmering with something ancient and calm."But remember this — you will find that help will always be given at Hogwarts… to those who deserve it."

And with that, Albus Dumbledore, the pillar of Hogwarts, walked out of the castle — his robes trailing like moonlight behind him.

The next morning, the news spread like wildfire.

"DUMBLEDORE REMOVED AS HEADMASTER!""HAGRID ARRESTED — MINISTRY INTERVENES!"

Every corridor, every classroom buzzed with the same words.Students whispered fearfully; even the teachers seemed shaken.

Professor McGonagall took up the role of Acting Headmistress, though she looked more burdened than proud.

The castle no longer felt alive. It felt… hollow.

Roy sat in the Hufflepuff common room that evening, quietly reading while the others whispered around him.Astoria, Daphne, and Cassandra watched him anxiously.

"Roy," Daphne finally asked, "aren't you… worried? The attacks, Dumbledore being gone…"

Roy closed the book, his eyes calm but sharp."Worry?" he echoed softly. "No. But it seems the storm is finally moving."

Days passed. The tension in the air grew heavier, pressing on every student's shoulders.

Then, one morning, a scream shattered the silence.

Another attack.Another victim.

But this time — it wasn't from Gryffindor or Ravenclaw.

It was from Slytherin House.

The shock rippled through Hogwarts like a tidal wave.

Even the pure-blood elites, who once mocked others, were whispering now in fear.If Slytherins themselves were being attacked, then no one was safe.

Roy stood in the Great Hall, his gaze flicking toward the house table cloaked in silence. His voice was low, almost a whisper.

"So… the Chamber strikes without discrimination now. Interesting."

His eyes narrowed slightly, reflecting the candlelight like cold stars.

The Yaksha of Hogwarts had begun to move again — and fate itself was about to change course.
