The purple light at Frieza's fingertip instantly shot forth.
The beam was only as thick as a chopstick, a minuscule needle of pure annihilation. But its speed completely exceeded the perceptive limits of Kaido's Observation Haki.
Kaido only saw a flash of purple light in his vision, a sudden streak that bypassed reality itself.
A blinding mist of blood immediately exploded from his right shoulder. The incredibly hard Demon Dragon scales, which had withstood the strongest attacks in the New World, were easily pierced.
The extreme heat instantly vaporized the underlying bone and muscle tissue, leaving a perfectly cauterized, see-through hole.
Kaido let out a muffled groan, the smell of burning dragon flesh filling his nostrils. His massive body uncontrollably staggered half a step back, the sheer shock of the impact registering before the pain.
Vegeta roared from a distance, panic lacing his fury. "Idiot! Don't just stand there like a living target!"
Vegeta rapidly waved his hands in front of him. Hundreds and thousands of golden ki blasts shot out wildly from his palms, a desperate, rapid-fire assault born of pure survival instinct.
An overwhelming barrage of energy blasts rained down on Frieza, completely blotting out the sky in a blinding cascade of gold.
Frieza made no evasive movements whatsoever. He just quietly hovered in place, arms resting at his sides. He allowed those high-explosive ki blasts to smash into his body, one after another.
The continuous, violent explosions created massive, overlapping fireballs in the sky. Thick black smoke instantly enveloped that airspace, hiding the Emperor from view.
Vegeta had no intention of stopping. He crazily squeezed out the newly surged Saiyan ki, his roars growing more ragged. Golden light illuminated the entire dried-up, dim lakebed, casting long, erratic shadows.
"Die! Die! Die!" Vegeta furiously roared hysterically while pouring out his firepower.
Kaido on the ground didn't just stand by and watch either. He endured the agonizing pain of his pierced shoulder, letting the beast within take the reins.
His thick legs violently exerted force downwards. The already heavily cracked ground instantly collapsed into a bottomless crater under the sheer kinetic load.
Kaido's massive body sprang up using the reactive force, launching himself into the air like a dark missile. His hands death-gripped that rusted, broken half of Hassaikai.
Armament Haki wrapped around the broken weapon with reckless abandon, coating it in a sheen of absolute black. Black-red Conqueror's Haki lightning leaped and flickered madly on the spiked club, tearing at the fabric of space itself.
He charged headlong straight into the center of the explosive smoke created by Vegeta, his roar splitting the heavens.
"Thunder Bagua!"
Kaido roared as he swung out the strongest physical force in his possession. This strike blew apart the air in its path, creating a vacuum. It emitted a deafening sonic boom that shattered the remaining rocks below.
The smoke was instantly blown away by the violent wind of the club's trajectory.
Frieza's petite white figure was revealed once again in the epicenter of the blast zone, completely unbothered. He merely lightly raised his left index finger.
That slender finger accurately pressed against the heaviest spike of Hassaikai.
The black-red lightning crept along his finger, sparking and hissing. Yet it couldn't leave even a single white mark on Frieza's pale skin.
The spiked club, carrying tens of thousands of pounds of force and the supreme will of an Emperor, was forcibly stopped in midair by a single, dainty finger. It couldn't advance even a millimeter further.
Kaido's eyes widened sharply. His vertical pupils were filled with incomprehensible shock. It didn't even move him?!
The corners of Frieza's mouth curled into a mocking, elegant arc.
"Your strength is passable among uncivilized wild monkeys," Frieza chuckled softly. "But you thought you could hurt this Emperor with this scrap metal?"
"Simply a pipe dream."
Frieza's finger curled slightly against the club. Then he flicked outward forcefully.
An irresistible, terrifying, immense force transmitted along the shaft of Hassaikai directly into Kaido's arms. The webbing between Kaido's thumbs and forefingers instantly burst open, unable to handle the feedback.
Blood splattered. He was sent flying backward by this casual flick, his massive body spinning out of control.
Right at this moment, Vegeta had somehow circled behind Frieza, utilizing the distraction perfectly.
His hands were clasped together. An extremely dazzling golden sphere of light took shape in his hands, humming with volatile energy.
"Go to Hell! Frieza!"
Vegeta viciously slammed the sphere of light in his hands toward the back of Frieza's exposed head.
Frieza didn't even turn his head. His thick white tail whipped upwards at an incredibly fast speed, blurring out of existence.
The tail accurately struck Vegeta's wrist just before the blast could connect. The crisp, sickening sound of shattering bone echoed out.
The energy sphere in Vegeta's hands flew out of his grasp high into the sky. It exploded into a brilliant halo thousands of meters outside the atmosphere, a wasted fireworks display.
Frieza's tail followed through its arc, sweeping horizontally downwards with brutal efficiency. It slapped heavily against Vegeta's abdomen.
Vegeta's eyes bulged out, the wind completely knocked from his lungs. Stomach acid mixed with blood spewed right out of his mouth.
His body plummeted toward the ground like a fallen white meteor. He smashed a crater dozens of meters in diameter into the earth, throwing up a massive plume of dust.
Kaido tumbled a few times in midair, his dragon wings flaring. He barely managed to stabilize himself and land on his feet, skidding backward.
He looked at the half-dead Vegeta at the bottom of the crater, and directly began cursing.
"You useless brat in the blue suit! Where is the 200,000 battle power you were just bragging about?! You couldn't even dodge one of his tails!"
Vegeta clutched his stomach, coughing violently at the bottom of the crater, his vision swimming. He didn't even have the strength to retort. That single tail whip just now had directly dispersed all the ki gathered in his body.
Frieza slowly descended from midair, his posture relaxed. His feet hovered half a meter off the ground. He looked at Kaido not far away, tilting his head.
His gaze fell on the blood hole pierced by the beam on Kaido's right shoulder. The granulation tissue there was squirming madly at a visible speed, knitting back together.
In just a few seconds, the vaporized flesh and blood regrew. Even the black Demon Dragon scales were restored to their original state, sealing the wound completely. There was absolutely no sign of a fatal injury.
Frieza's eyes widened slightly, a genuine spark of scientific intrigue replacing his boredom.
"What an interesting physical structure," Frieza noted, his tail swishing. "Pierced by my Death Beam, and you actually fully recovered in such a short time."
"You are definitely not a Namekian. Namekian limb regeneration consumes a massive amount of ki. But your recovery... Seems to be some kind of pure, physical instinct."
Frieza developed an extremely strong interest in Kaido. A resilient specimen was always fun to break.
Kaido spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, grinning fiercely.
"My body... Has been tempered through thousands of trials! A hairless midget like you will never understand!"
Kaido launched another attack. He directly activated his Hybrid Form. Cyan-black dragon scales spread rapidly, covering every inch of his skin. His muscles swelled considerably, tearing at his remaining garments.
The latent power of the Rayquaza template was pushed to its current limit. The surrounding air began to flow violently, creating localized typhoons. Gale-force winds howled and raged across the Namekian wasteland.
Large swaths of thick, dark clouds quickly gathered in the sky, blotting out the pale green sun. Green lightning tumbled and shuttled through the clouds, responding to the Dragon's call.
Frieza looked up at the anomaly in the sky. There was no ripple of emotion on his face, only mild disdain.
"The ability to alter the weather? Flashy, boring tricks."
Kaido opened his massive mouth full of razor-sharp fangs. A giant fireball rapidly took shape deep in his throat.
This was no ordinary Bolo Breath. It fused a high concentration of Armament Haki and Rayquaza's destructive Dragon-type energy. The fireball took on a bizarre, swirling black-red color. The surrounding space was severely distorted by this extreme heat, turning the air into a shimmering mirage.
"Bolo Breath: Heavenly Dragon Roar!"
Kaido violently lowered his head. The massive black-red pillar of fire blasted toward Frieza, a concentrated beam of draconic wrath.
Frieza still did not dodge. He casually reached out with one hand. Purple energy quickly gathered in his palm, forming a localized gravity well.
He directly caught this terrifying, high-temperature pillar of fire barehanded.
The flames exploded with a massive boom right in front of his palm, spreading out wildly in all directions like a river hitting a dam. The ground beneath them was instantly baked into large expanses of transparent, glass-like crystals.
Frieza stood at the absolute center of the flames. The white bone armor on his body didn't even have a single black scorch mark left on it.
Vegeta finally crawled out of the ruined crater, his armor cracked and his body battered. Seeing Kaido's strongest attack completely ineffective, he bit down hard on his back molars.
Blood seeped from his gums. He knew that fighting alone, he absolutely couldn't beat this monster before him.
He raised his hands high above his head, forcing his broken body to obey. Golden ki madly gathered and compressed toward his palms.
"Galick Gun!"
Vegeta violently pushed out the high-density energy wave in his hands. The golden beam accurately struck Frieza from the side, joining Kaido's assault.
Kaido's black-red flames and Vegeta's golden beam converged and collided directly on Frieza's body. The two completely different energies produced an extremely violent repulsion reaction, creating a volatile core of destruction.
A massive explosion echoed through the Namekian sky, dwarfing the previous ones. The blinding, mixed light of gold and black-red made it impossible for anyone to look directly at it.
The ensuing shockwave leveled all the rocks within a ten-mile radius, stripping the topsoil completely bare.
The light gradually faded, revealing the epicenter.
Frieza casually brushed some non-existent dust off his shoulder. He sighed, looking deeply disappointed.
"What an utterly boring farce."
