Chapter 527 - Chapter 527: Catching Dark Hound, A Single Palm Blows Doflamingo Away

The sky was violently torn open by an unreasonable, tyrannical force. Namek's dark green clouds were split, leaving a long, empty vacuum in the pod's wake.

The spherical ship slammed into the planet's surface with blinding exhaust flames. The colossal impact completely drowned out the distant thunder.

The earth shuddered violently the exact moment the ship made contact. It carved out a bottomless crater, the sheer kinetic force and extreme heat instantly liquefying the surrounding bedrock into a pool of bubbling magma.

A heavy hiss of depressurization echoed as the hatch slowly opened.

White steam billowed outward, mixing with the cold condensation. Son Goku stepped out of the pod, clad in his signature orange martial arts uniform.

He had just endured a hellish regimen of 100-times Earth's normal gravity. Every single time he had brushed against death, his Saiyan cells had forcefully evolved, pushing him to entirely new heights. His body felt almost absurdly light.

He rolled his neck, the joints popping with sharp, crisp cracks. His eyes held a level of fierce confidence and sharpness that hadn't been there before.

The environment of this planet felt somewhat familiar. The gravity and air composition were similar to Earth's. But the thick, suffocating stench of blood lingering in the atmosphere made him deeply uncomfortable.

Destruction scarred the landscape in every direction.

Goku closed his eyes. He pressed two fingers firmly against his forehead—his standard stance for deep concentration.

The various life signatures scattered across Namek began to form a three-dimensional map in his mind.

The first thing he locked onto was a painfully weak, flickering presence.

It was Krillin.

And Gohan.

Krillin's ki was dangerously low. It felt as though his flame could be snuffed out at any second. The realization made Goku's heart twist painfully in his chest.

Immediately after, an overwhelmingly massive, sickeningly evil energy source violently forced its way into his senses.

The ki was impossibly huge. So massive that it instilled a deep, suffocating sense of dread. Even from half a world away, Goku could feel its pure, unadulterated lust for destruction.

That had to be Frieza.

But aside from those signatures, Goku also detected two incredibly bizarre, unnatural fluctuations.

Neither of these sources possessed any recognizable ki whatsoever. Yet, their biological magnetic fields were exceptionally violent. They were clashing furiously in a ringed canyon not too far from his current location, the impacts sending violent tremors straight through the planet's crust.

Krillin is in danger.

That was the only thought left in Goku's mind.

He didn't hesitate for a fraction of a second. Bending his knees slightly, he launched himself forward. The glassy bedrock beneath his boots instantly shattered into fine dust, completely unable to withstand the explosive force of his takeoff.

With a deafening BOOM, Goku became a streak of light moving far too fast for the naked eye to track.

He tore across the sky at a speed that eclipsed anything he had ever achieved before, the sheer velocity violently compressing the air and leaving a chain of white sonic booms in his wake.

All he cared about right now was saving his friends. No matter who was hurting them, he was going to send them flying.

Back in the ringed canyon, the battle had reached its most brutal, white-hot climax.

Doflamingo's Ever-White had been burned wide open by Akainu's Ryujin Jakka. Against the dark red flames, the white threads looked incredibly frail. The stench of scorched air filled the entire canyon.

Akainu advanced, his boots sinking into the boiling lava. He completely ignored the stray threads that occasionally managed to slip past his guard and slice through his Justice coat.

The magma on his right arm churned violently, rapidly taking the shape of a massive, incredibly detailed canine head.

"Dark Hound!"

Akainu threw a merciless punch. The molten hound lunged forward with devastating momentum, aiming straight for Doflamingo's heart. The extreme heat was so intense it actually ignited the oxygen in its path.

Doflamingo grit his teeth, the veins on his forehead pulsing erratically. He knew he was standing on the absolute precipice of death. This Marine Mad Dog's attacks defied all logic.

He violently crossed his arms. Sixteen incredibly thick cords, heavily coated in high-density Armament Haki, erupted from the earth.

"16 Holy Bullets: God Thread!"

This was his ultimate trump card, the strongest killing move of his Awakened state. The sixteen black spears shot out in a straight line, aimed dead center at the incoming magma hound.

The two lethal attacks were fractions of a second away from colliding.

The resulting explosion would undoubtedly level the entire canyon.

But in that hair's-breadth moment, a man in orange appeared right between them without the slightest warning.

He wasn't using Haki. He wasn't radiating the energy of a Devil Fruit.

He simply raised a single hand.

From his palm erupted a highly concentrated, invisible wall of ki. It acted as an impenetrable barrier.

Akainu's Dark Hound smashed brutally into the shockwave. The magma hound couldn't even withstand the pressure for a single second before it was completely shattered, exploding into a shower of harmless sparks.

Doflamingo's sixteen God Threads slammed into the barrier simultaneously. The Haki-infused cords immediately snapped inch by inch, shattering into pieces.

With almost insulting ease, the ultimate attacks of two top-tier powerhouses were completely neutralized.

The sheer, overwhelming force of the shockwave sent Akainu stumbling back over a dozen steps. Every time his boot hit the ground, a crater of lava exploded outward. By the time he finally stabilized his footing, the magma on his right arm was still boiling uncontrollably from the impact.

Doflamingo fared even worse.

He completely lost his balance in mid-air. Hurtling backward like a broken doll, he smashed violently into the distant cliff face.

The impact carved a deep crater into the stone, sending a cascade of rubble crashing to the ground. Doflamingo spat out a mouthful of blood, his red sunglasses knocked askew.

Goku stood perfectly still amid the bubbling lava and the scorched, broken threads. He clapped his hands together, dusting off his palms, and calmly looked back and forth between the two men who had just been trying to slaughter each other.

He extended his senses again. Neither of these men possessed Krillin's ki. And they didn't feel like subordinates of that massive evil presence either.

But the sheer amount of destruction they were causing was far too extensive.

"Who are you guys?"

Goku's voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly to both Akainu and Doflamingo.

"Why are you guys wrecking the place?" he asked, his brow furrowing as he took in the ruined canyon.

Akainu tightened his grip on Ryujin Jakka. The dark red flames dancing along the blade flared aggressively. Drops of magma slipped between his fingers, hitting the ground with sharp hisses.

He stared coldly at the spiky-haired wild monkey who had just materialized out of thin air.

The man was wearing a ridiculous orange outfit. His hair was a mess. He didn't exude the intimidating aura of a powerhouse in the slightest. And yet, that single, casual block had completely dismantled his Dark Hound.

This man was absolutely no ordinary fighter.

Murderous intent began to rapidly swell in Akainu's eyes. He was here to complete a mission for the Store Manager. He was here to claim the Dragon Balls and attain the ultimate power required to enforce Absolute Justice.

Anyone who dared to stand in his way was nothing but evil scum that needed to be eradicated.

Doflamingo struggled to his feet from the rubble. He reached up, fixing his crooked sunglasses, a highly dangerous smirk curling his lips.

This planet is just crawling with monsters.

He had barely managed to avoid a lunatic with a battle power of 500,000, and now some freak drops out of the sky who can block an Admiral's attack with one hand.

He touched the Dragon Radar tucked safely in his pocket, his mind racing to formulate a new plan.

When Goku noticed that neither man was going to answer, and that they were simply glaring at him with pure hostility, he let out a heavy sigh.

"If you don't want to tell me, then forget it. I'm in a hurry to save my friends. You guys really shouldn't fight anymore."

With that, Goku turned to leave. He needed to find Krillin and Gohan. He didn't have time to waste on these strange guys.

Akainu let out a cold, sharp snort.

"You think you can just turn your back? What do you think this place is? You've obstructed the execution of Justice. Your only path now is death."

Akainu raised Ryujin Jakka, aiming the tip of the blade squarely at Goku's back. The ambient temperature skyrocketed once more.

Doflamingo sneered from the sidelines, letting out his grating laugh.

"Fuffuffuffuffu... the Marine Mad Dog is biting again. You better be careful, little monkey. This guy will literally burn you to ash."

Goku stopped in his tracks. He turned his head, looking directly at the man dripping with molten rock.

He could feel the pure, unadulterated killing intent rolling off the man. This wasn't a bluff. The guy genuinely wanted to murder him.

Goku's expression shifted, his easygoing demeanor hardening into absolute seriousness. He clenched his fists, his ki slowly beginning to circulate.

"Since you're so determined to fight... I guess I'll play with you for a bit. But I really am in a hurry. So, I'm going to finish you both off very quickly."

The instant the words left his mouth, Goku's ki exploded outward with a deafening WHOOSH.

A brilliant, blazing aura of white ki rocketed into the sky, illuminating the dark canyon as brightly as the midday sun.

The oppressive atmospheric pressure generated by his power alone made both Akainu and Doflamingo feel as though the air had been sucked from their lungs.

This level of power... it completely defied their understanding of the world.

No Haki. No Devil Fruit. Just pure, unadulterated life energy, radiating a might that invoked genuine despair.

Akainu gritted his teeth. He would never allow Justice to be thwarted here.

The flames roaring along Ryujin Jakka surged, reforming into the massive, dark red crescent blade.

"No matter what kind of monster you are... in the face of Absolute Justice, you will burn to ashes!"

Roaring with fury, Akainu charged directly at Goku, swinging the blazing sword.

Doflamingo didn't hesitate either. His fingers became a blur as he wove thousands of transparent threads into a lethal net of death, sweeping in from all directions to flank Goku.

He intended to use this chaotic opening to eliminate both of these massive headaches in one fell swoop.

Goku stood his ground, watching the two men rush him. He took a deep breath and smoothly dropped into the opening stance of the Turtle School.
