In the silent wilderness, Chris surveyed his surroundings.
With his excellent eyesight, he could see signs of humans in a distant jungle.
When Chris arrived, he saw a dilapidated church with a red roof and white walls standing deep in the woods, and the surrounding branches were full of crows.
They curiously sized up Chris, the uninvited guest, their eyes filled with a greed that did not belong to their species.
Such an eerie scene made Chris instantly realize that he had entered some horror movie world.
Of course, the reason he had this realization was because the environment in front of him felt exceptionally familiar to Chris.
He clearly remembered seeing it in some horror movie.
He just needed to confirm it, and then he could be absolutely certain whether this was the world he knew.
Throwing down his gym bag, Chris prepared to check the surrounding environment to confirm his guess.
As he threw down his gym bag, Chris felt a bit regretful.
If he had known he would Transmigrate again, he should have put some weapons in his bag so he wouldn't have to explore empty-handed.
But it wasn't too late to know now; he could make some preparations when he returned.
As for whether he could return to the Family Guy World? Chris had no doubts.
Because he was now certain that what Dumpling said might be related to his current Transmigration.
After all, he himself was a Transmigrator, and Dumpling had said he had awakened some talent of his.
So, besides this Transmigration ability, what other talent could he have that would interest a genius like Dumpling?
It couldn't possibly be Chris's talent for farting whenever he wanted, could it?
With a plan in mind, Chris slowly approached the side of the church, carefully observing his surroundings, and then what he saw confirmed his suspicions.
Looking at the thick iron pipe in front of him, Chris sighed in annoyance.
"Damn it! It really is the Jeepers Creepers world, and I just happened to run into that monster's lair! What kind of luck do I have?!"
Although he had already confirmed in his heart that he had Transmigrated to the Jeepers Creepers world again, Chris, just to be safe, still walked to the iron pipe and peered down.
With his excellent eyesight, some scattered bones appeared in Chris's line of sight.
Coupled with a sour, decaying smell wafting up the pipe into Chris's nostrils, he was even more certain it was this world.
He still remembered some of the plot of this horror movie: roughly, a brother and sister accidentally discovered the Ogre's food storage process, and then the brother was targeted by the Ogre.
Unfortunately, he couldn't remember the specific plot details, only that the brother was quite reckless.
Of course, he did die in the end; Chris remembered that guy died quite miserably, his eyeballs were even gouged out.
Recalling the general plot of this world, Chris turned to get his gym bag.
He remembered that this Ogre could only hunt for 23 days every 23 years, and in the plot, this Ogre had already been out for more than ten days.
So, he only needed to wait a few more days, and this guy would fall into slumber again.
Therefore, Chris was not going to stir up trouble and provoke that powerful monster, which could fly for short periods and had strong regenerative abilities.
He now only planned to grab his things, then find a car and drive far away, quietly waiting for his Transmigration back.
After all, he wasn't a Reincarnator or some system host with missions that absolutely had to be completed.
Having figured it out, Chris came to the front door of the church where he had put down his backpack, then prepared to run away.
Before leaving, Chris also checked if he had left anything behind, as he knew that Ogre had super tracking abilities.
As long as he smelled someone's scent, he could find them even dozens of kilometers away.
The reckless brother in the original story was found and killed by the Ogre precisely because he left behind his clothes.
After looking around, confirming he hadn't left anything, Chris prepared to leave with peace of mind.
However, as soon as he reached the side of the road, ready to choose a direction and leave, he heard the sound of a car driving.
Then he looked towards the source of the sound, which was a strange-looking truck.
The truck body was rusty and dilapidated, and with Chris's eyesight, he could clearly see that there wasn't even a single piece of glass on the truck, it was like an iron turtle completely covered in metal.
And Chris's face changed when he saw this truck, because this was the vehicle driven by that Ogre.
"Damn it, why is he coming back right now?!"
Estimating the vehicle was still two or three kilometers away, Chris turned and ran towards the dilapidated church.
With his two-legged running speed, trying to escape the Ogre's vehicular pursuit was clearly a pipe dream.
So, the only possible way to escape the Ogre now was to hide in the Ogre's underground cellar where he hid his food reserves.
Only in this way, under the cover of the strong stench of corpses, could he possibly avoid being discovered by the Ogre.
Having thought it through, Chris quickly ran to the iron pipe, then leaped, sliding down the pipe into the cellar.
With a thud, Chris's heavy body hit the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust.
Fortunately, the gym bag cushioned his fall, and coupled with his strong physique, he didn't sprain anything.
After confirming that his body was fine, he got up and ran deeper into the cellar, to avoid being discovered by the Ogre when he threw down bodies.
But before Chris could find a good hiding spot, he heard the sound of the car engine shutting off, followed by heavy footsteps.
Realizing the Ogre had already arrived above the pipe, Chris held his breath and moved closer to a pile of debris, hoping to use the bloody smell of the dismembered bodies to cover his scent.
Meanwhile, the Ogre on the ground, in a joyful mood, carried two food items to the pipe.
Then he raised his hands and threw these two food reserves into the cellar.
With the thudding sound of heavy objects hitting the ground, Chris knew it was the bodies thrown down by that guy.
Next, if he remembered the plot correctly, this Ogre would go after the brother and sister who accidentally witnessed him disposing of the bodies.
And he could take the opportunity to leave from here, then whether to find someone to deal with this Ogre or quietly hide until his return, he could act according to his own wishes.
However, events clearly would not unfold according to Chris's wishes; accidents always arrived uninvited.
After happily throwing his food reserves into the cellar, the Ogre realized his actions seemed to have been discovered.
Turning to look at the departing vehicle, the Ogre wanted to drive after it.
He had spotted a little snack he fancied in that car.
But just then, the crows in the trees cawed a few times, and then the Ogre's nostrils twitched, and his face changed drastically.
"Hiss~!"
Veins instantly bulged on the Ogre's livid face, then his insect-like jointed tentacles unfurled, and his spread fleshy wings emitted a hissing sound like an insect.
Through the crows' warning and his own deliberate tracking, he had already discovered there was a strange visitor here.
He took a long spear from the car, then quickly came to the iron pipe.
He wanted to see which ignorant fool dared to play hide-and-seek with him!
If it weren't for the psychic crows he raised, this little ghost would have escaped.
The Ogre lightly leaped, his body gracefully jumping into the iron pipe.
However, he didn't fall straight down like Chris; instead, he stood firmly.
Besides Chris's overweight body, it was also due to this monster having fleshy wings.
Even without spreading his wings, he possessed an extraordinary sense of balance, which is why their ways of entering the cellar differed.
After entering the cellar, the Ogre looked around; under the cover of the strong stench of corpses, he could only rely on his eyes to find his target.
Fortunately, the cellar wasn't large; a casual glance allowed him to spot a suspicious area.
Raising the long spear in his hand, the Ogre stared intently at the spot he had identified, then forcefully threw the spear.
Propelled by the Ogre's immense strength, the spear instantly shot towards Chris like an arrow from a crossbow.
Seeing this, Chris no longer evaded, raising his hand to snatch the flying spear, and with a powerful push of his legs, he leaped out from the pile of debris.
Looking at the gun barrel that was constantly shaking due to the emergency stop, Chris shook his arms to steady the spear, then turned it around and held it in his hand.
"Damn it, do you think I'm just an ordinary person with no power to resist? My four-hundred-kilogram bench press isn't just for show!"
Looking at Chris's outwardly fierce but inwardly weak demeanor, the Ogre revealed a cruel smile.
He hadn't expected this guy to have some ability, and from the smell, he seemed exceptionally tempting!
