Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Chris's Charm

In front of the dilapidated church.

While Chris was busy dismembering the Ogre, the siblings in the story finally returned here, just as in the original novel.

They parked the car by the side of the road, but neither of them got out.

Tracy, the elder sister, wanted to drive away immediately, only because they noticed that the Ogre's vehicle was still parked there.

This indicated that the wack had not yet left.

"Let go, Daly, we agreed that we would leave quickly if we found danger."

Tracy slapped Daly, who was trying to stop her from leaving, but then heard Daly whisper, "Quiet down, that wack might not have gone far."

That one sentence scared Tracy into silence, but she still glared at Daly, as if questioning him why he wasn't sticking to their agreement.

However, Daly had no time to mind his sister now; after observing carefully, he said, "Tracy, that guy's car door isn't closed, and the trunk is also open. I'm going down to check."

Hearing her brother's suicidal words, Tracy immediately wanted to start the car and leave.

But Daly's actions were too quick; before Tracy could react, he had already opened the car door and stepped out.

Daly, who had gotten out of the car, did not close the door. Although he was a master of courting death, he didn't actually want to die.

"You stay in the car and be ready to pick me up. If there's any problem, start the car. I'll be right back."

With that, he ignored his sister's annoyed expression and tiptoed towards the Ogre's truck.

Seeing her brother had already gotten out of the car, and just in case, Tracy had no choice but to wait in the car as her brother had instructed.

After confirming no one was around, Daly cautiously approached the truck. Just as he was about to climb up to check the situation, he heard the cawing of crows.

Scared, he thought someone had arrived and quickly ran towards his sister.

Tracy, seeing her brother running towards her, was also ready to drive off once he got in the car.

However, Daly had only run a few steps when he heard someone shout from behind, "Hey, can you come over and lend a hand?"

Daly turned his head at the sound and saw a blond teenager climbing out of a corrugated pipe.

Then Daly saw the blond teenager wave and say, "Hurry up, buddy. You won't believe what just happened here!"

After a moment's thought, Daly turned to look at Tracy, then made a 'wait' gesture to her, and walked towards the corrugated pipe.

As he got closer, he nervously asked, "Who are you? Where's that wack who drove the truck?"

As he spoke, Daly leaned his head into the corrugated pipe, only to find it pitch black inside. Coupled with the teenager at the opening blocking much of the light, he couldn't see anything inside.

"I would tell you even if you didn't ask, but can you pull me up first? This pipe is too slippery."

Seeing this, Daly reached out to help, but he didn't expect this person to be so heavy. It took him quite a while, with the other person's own efforts, to finally tumble out.

Then Daly saw that this person had a rope tied to his leg, and several cloth bags were tied to the rope, emitting a foul odor.

Just as Daly was wondering if there were bodies inside, he suddenly noticed a few of the cloth bags move.

This sudden sight startled Daly.

"Ah!"

"Hahahaha, you're such a scaredy-cat, yet you dare to come to the Ogre's lair?"

Chris now recognized that this boy was the suicidal younger brother from the original novel.

"What?! Ogre?!"

A sharp female voice came, belonging to the sister from the story.

After seeing a blond boy climb out of the pipe from the car, she also got out.

After all, this boy looked so trustworthy, completely different from the corpse-dumping wack they had seen before.

Therefore, when Tracy got closer, she happened to hear the boy mocking her brother.

Chris, sitting on the ground, smiled without explaining. Instead, he pulled over a cloth bag, untied it, and showed them the still-twitching black chunks of flesh inside.

This monster truly lived up to its reputation as the villain of a horror film series. Chris had cut it into fist-sized pieces with a spear, and the creature still wasn't dead.

Upon realizing this, Chris decided to tackle this guy head-on. He used the body bags that this monster used to store its provisions to pack up the monster, planning to go out and try other methods.

Then, as soon as he climbed out of the pipe opening, he saw Daly tiptoeing around and called out to him.

After all, in this wilderness, relying on his legs to walk out would take an eternity.

It was quite possible that the Ogre wouldn't die, but Chris would first.

Therefore, after spotting a living person, Chris figured this guy must have come by car.

After all, Chris didn't want to mess with the Ogre's bizarre truck, which was full of traps.

After proving to the two that his words were true, Chris re-tied the cloth bags and then untied the rope from his leg.

"My name is Chris, and I'm a…"

Just as he was about to introduce himself, Chris suddenly found it a bit difficult. If he said he was an ordinary student, he would have to make up a whole bunch of explanations.

After all, an ordinary student wouldn't be capable of dealing with an Ogre, especially since he had appeared here so suddenly.

Fortunately, Daly was still in his rebellious phase. Seeing Chris's troubled expression as he spoke, he immediately had a wild idea and said, "Are you an exorcist? Or a Knight Templar? Like in the comics?"

"Uh…" Faced with the convenient excuse, Chris hesitated for a moment, then immediately nodded and said, "It's good you know. This is a secret mission, and I hope you won't spread it around."

"Oh yeah!"

Unexpectedly, the boy shouted excitedly, then bragged to his sister, "See? I guessed right again! I get another point!"

However, Tracy had no time to mind him at the moment. From the initial tension and fear to the current relaxation.

It could be said that this girl's emotions had gone through many twists and turns, like a rollercoaster ride.

At this moment, she was staring intently at Chris, her entire mind occupied by him.

"You guys must have a car, right? Can you take me to find some gasoline or something? This monster isn't dead yet!"

Chris spoke to remind the two, which made them snap out of it. They immediately said, "Yes, yes, we're on spring break going home. We never expected to run into something like this."

Once Chris put the Ogre's remains into the trunk, he then consciously sat in the back seat.

Daly then also wanted to sit in the back, as he wanted to learn more about this demon-hunting boy's story.

He never expected to witness an urban legend. Now he would have something to talk about when he returned to school, and he might even become a popular figure at school.

Unfortunately, imagination is beautiful, but reality is cruel.

Tracy, as the older sister, didn't know her brother's thoughts. She only knew that she wanted to spend more time with this mysterious boy.

So Tracy stopped Daly, who was about to get into the back seat, and said in a serious tone, "I went to great lengths because of your recklessness before. Now it's your turn to drive!"

"Oh my god! How can you be so unreasonable!"

Daly still wanted to argue a few words, but Tracy had already gotten into the back seat and slammed the car door shut.
