Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Practical Application

Feeling no discomfort in his body, Chris gave up on researching what that white flame was.

According to his premonition, he would be able to return in a few days, and then he could ask Dumpling to help research it.

Anyway, that child prodigy should be very interested in this kind of thing.

With a plan in mind, Chris looked at the still stunned people and, after thinking for a moment, said, "Since this matter is resolved, we should leave. We won't bother you any further."

Old Man Taggart snapped out of his daze, wanting to keep Chris and the others for dinner to celebrate the disappearance of the demon that had loomed over them.

However, seeing that Chris was determined to leave, and considering that they weren't very familiar with each other, he nodded and said, "Very well. Although you few must be extraordinary individuals, driving at night is inconvenient. I won't keep you."

Saying this, Old Man Taggart turned to his eldest son and said, "Jackie, go fetch another bucket of gasoline and help them fill up their car's tank, so they don't run into trouble on the road."

Chris looked at him in surprise, not expecting that this person was quite easy to get along with once familiar. He hadn't even considered the issue of a low fuel tank.

But since the other party had shown such consideration, how could he not reciprocate?

However, he was currently penniless, and Cuixi and her younger brother probably couldn't even produce two hundred dollars, which the other party wouldn't accept.

Recalling how the father and son in the plot exhibited the Ogre's corpse, Chris immediately had an idea.

"Since you live here, you should know that if you go in this direction, there's a dilapidated church by the roadside, right?"

Taggart followed the direction Chris pointed, thinking of the building the other party mentioned, and nodded, not understanding.

"That church is the Crawler's lair. The strange truck he drives is parked there, and in the church's basement, there are human remains from his hunts."

Hearing this, Taggart thought he understood Chris's meaning and asked to confirm, "You mean for me to collect those remains? I'll take Jackie there tomorrow. Do I need to notify the police?"

"No, what I mean is that you can drag that strange truck back. It's been enchanted with witchcraft, and you can use it for exhibition or sale. Consider it your reward.

As for the human remains in the basement, if you don't want to deal with them, just notify the police. If they ask you anything, just tell them the truth."

With that, Chris led Cuixi and her younger brother and turned to leave.

He nodded to Jackie, who was helping with the gas, and after confirming everything was in order, the three drove away.

Leaving the farmer father and son stunned and speechless.

Sitting in the car, Tracy asked doubtfully, "Aren't you uncomfortable being exposed to the police? What if that farmer tells the police and they find you?"

Now that his worries were completely resolved, Chris was in a much better mood.

With a beautiful woman by his side, so considerate of him, Chris's mood was even more delightful.

It was simply the peak of his life since he transmigrated.

Therefore, Chris explained unhurriedly, "You're overestimating the quality of America's police. They won't be able to find me, and it's even unlikely they'll find either of you."

Looking at the girl whose eyes were full of confusion, Chris smiled and said, "That farmer doesn't know our names, and they're busy dealing with the Ogre's corpse, so they couldn't have noted down the license plate number. Trying to find us would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, a waste of effort!"

Hearing Chris's explanation, Tracy nodded, half-understanding, seemingly relaxing.

She herself wasn't worried, after all, they hadn't broken any laws. It was just that Chris had said he was uncomfortable with the police knowing about him, which was why the girl was so concerned.

But she had no idea that Chris had just made that up on the spot; he didn't care whether the police knew about him or not!

Anyway, he was leaving soon.

However, in these few days before leaving, he could try to get a 'driver's license'.

Previously, he had always driven a manual transmission, and the original Chris was a manual transmission master, once performing the incredible feat of operating a computer with 28 screens.

And now, with a beautiful woman smitten with him, wasn't this a perfect opportunity for him to get some practical experience?

Thinking this, Chris's hand quietly hooked over Tracy's shoulder, then he said casually, "I left in too much of a hurry this time and didn't bring much cash. I wonder if it would be convenient to stay for a few days?"

"Of course!" "No!"

Two voices rang out simultaneously, startling Chris.

The one who agreed was Daly, who at this moment had an excited expression, clearly thinking of having more time to interact with Chris and listen to his legendary stories.

And the one who disagreed was Tracy; her cheeks were flushed, as if she had thought of something unmentionable.

Then the siblings realized their opinions differed. Daly immediately wanted to question his sister why Chris couldn't stay.

However, before Daly could speak, Tracy quickly explained, "You forgot that Mom and Dad are home. It would be very inconvenient for Chris to stay at our house."

"Then..." Daly still wanted to argue a bit, saying that Chris could share a room with him, or that he could sleep on the sofa or something.

But Tracy didn't give him the chance, cutting him off forcefully, and spoke again, "So it's much simpler to just let Chris stay at a hotel. This way, it won't trouble our family, and Chris won't be too uncomfortable."

As Tracy spoke, her eyes kept on Chris, afraid he would misunderstand.

But by the time she finished speaking, Chris hadn't objected, which meant he must have agreed with her idea.

"Alright! What you said does make sense."

After hearing Tracy's arrangements, Daly couldn't think of a more suitable solution and agreed somewhat dejectedly.

Seeing her younger brother fall silent, Tracy turned to Chris and softly asked, "Chris, what do you think?"

After all, if Chris didn't agree, whatever she said would be useless.

And Chris, who had also been watching Tracy, now understood the girl's plan.

If he really stayed at her family's house, with her parents and brother watching, she definitely wouldn't have a chance to do anything with Chris.

Therefore, this American girl's mind quickly came up with such an idea.

One can only say that America people are open-minded; in terms of daring to love and hate, they can definitely be called heroes.

So Chris, who also had feelings for Tracy, naturally agreed a thousand times over.

"Of course, I don't mind at all."

Thus, the accommodation was arranged. Time passed as the three chatted, and the car slowly stopped in front of a hotel not far from Tracy's home.

Then, Tracy used the excuse of helping Chris check in to take all the dollars from Daly, and then sent her completely useless younger brother home.

Before leaving, Daly wanted to ask when she would pick him up, but Tracy slapped him on the mouth, making him hold back his words.

So as night deepened, using the excuse that she was afraid to walk alone at night and didn't have enough money, Tracy finally checked into a room with Chris.

As for what happened next? One can only say it was mutual consent, reaching the peak of passion.

It could be said that Chris's practical lesson was fully completed in one night, directly making up for his previous deficiency of only knowing how to drive a manual transmission.
