Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 The Dumplings' Revenge

In the Griffin Family, at the dining table.

"Hahaha, Peter, that joke of yours is hilarious. Your company actually has pet bereavement leave? Are they really that kind?"

During dinner, Peter talked about someone at his company getting seven days off because their pet died.

This immediately made Louise laugh so hard she couldn't close her mouth.

Because she had lived in the Peute Schmidt Family since she was a child, her father was a prominent capitalist in Rhode Island.

This made Louise understand what kind of cold-blooded animals capitalists were from a very young age.

Therefore, when she heard Peter say that his company had pet bereavement leave, she thought it was a cold joke Peter was telling.

But seeing Louise laughing happily, Peter said with a displeased expression, "Hey, Louise. Listen, I'm not kidding. I confirmed with the company supervisor; they really do have such a holiday.

In fact, because that person is on leave, my workload has doubled! Do you know what this means?"

Looking at Peter's serious expression, Louise put away her smile and responded thoughtfully, "Does it mean you have to work overtime?"

"NO, Louise!" Peter first shook his head solemnly, then excitedly shouted, "This means I can also get seven days of vacation, and it's paid!"

Hearing Peter's statement, Louise covered her head and said in distress, "Oh, Peter! Do you know what you're saying? Brian is our family!"

Brian, who was eating, also exclaimed, "What?!"

Then he looked at Peter with a shocked expression, the meaning of which was hard to express in words.

Chris also curiously looked up at Peter, wondering if he was about to do something shocking again.

Fortunately, Peter in this world hadn't had his brain completely eroded by bestial power; he still had some rationality.

When he saw everyone looking at him, Peter waved his hand and shook his head, denying, "Hehehe, what are you all thinking! How could I think of killing Brian for a vacation!"

Seeing his demeanor, the others half-believed him, and even the involved dog, Brian, softened his gaze.

That's right, Peter himself rescued him from the pet shop. How could he doubt his best family?

But to everyone's surprise, Peter then added, "Brian is an intelligent species with human rights; he can't be considered a pet. The company would never approve the leave!"

"Shit! You piece of garbage, I shouldn't have thought well of you!" Hearing Peter's words, Brian immediately flew into a rage. He raised his hand and threw his empty plate at Peter, then cursed and left the table.

Fortunately, Peter's fat was thick, and the plate bounced right off him. Chris then reached out and caught the plate, preventing any property damage to the Griffin Family.

Putting the plate down casually, Chris secretly nodded. Indeed, this is Peter!

Everyone was momentarily stunned by Chris's move, then they heard Dumpling's babbling. Louise immediately went to coax him.

However, they couldn't hear what Dumpling was saying, but Chris heard it clearly.

"Let's go, Chris. I've eaten enough. Have you finished eating? I'm already eager to research information about other worlds!"

Looking at Dumpling's excited gaze, Chris was a little helpless, but he still stood up and said, "It's okay, Mom, I'm full. Let me go coax Stewie!"

Watching Chris pick up Dumpling, Louise said with relief, "Oh, my baby is so sensible. Thank you for your trouble."

Listening to Louise's sickly sweet voice, Chris nodded and went upstairs with Dumpling.

Only Megan looked at Chris's back suspiciously. Her hearing was quite good, and she also heard some of the words Dumpling said.

But because the information was incomplete, she had no idea what kind of deal these two guys were making.

However, thinking about her upcoming graduation, Megan wasn't in the mood to bother with anything else, nor did she care what secrets these two guys had.

Chris carried Dumpling to the second floor, and with a call from Dumpling, a portal opened to the secret base hidden in another dimension.

Chris put Dumpling down and was about to walk in, but the little guy called out, "Stop, stop, stop! Can't you just carry me in?"

He shouted and wrapped his arms around Chris's neck, holding on tightly.

Slightly helpless, Chris had no choice but to carry Dumpling into the base, then sighed, "Alright! Hurry up and get down."

"Let me hold you a little longer, your embrace feels amazing! It's even more comfortable than a high-end mattress. Can I lie in your arms and sleep for a bit?"

Hearing Dumpling's ambiguous words, Chris quickly threw the little guy out.

Fortunately, Dumpling's base had protective measures; a pair of mechanical arms instantly extended to catch Dumpling, preventing him from falling.

The sudden feeling of weightlessness made Dumpling open his eyes, and then he found himself caught by the mechanical arms and held in mid-air.

Understanding what had happened, Dumpling furiously shouted, "fuck you! What are you doing? I'm so tired at the factory, can't I just rest in your arms for a bit?"

"Uh..." Chris was speechless for a moment, because what Dumpling said was true; he was indeed very tired from keeping the factory running normally.

Just assembling those robots was no simple task.

And with Dumpling saying that, Chris also knew he had overreacted.

Stewie saw Chris's expression and immediately understood why he had acted that way just now. He immediately laughed angrily, "fuck! What in the world are you thinking, you idiot?

I admit there's a possibility of me being gay in other parallel universes, but in this universe, my Stewie's orientation is very normal! Please stop defiling me with your dirty thoughts, okay?!"

"This... that..." After much thought, Chris didn't know what to say, so he could only stammer, "Sorry! I shouldn't have thought that about you."

However, Dumpling completely ignored Chris's apology. He seemed genuinely angry, and his tone was cold, "I don't want to talk about anything else right now. Hurry up and go inside so I can record the world coordinates on you."

Chris looked at the hibernation pod-like object in front of him, filled with confusion, but Dumpling was still angry, so he certainly wouldn't answer him.

Just as Chris, not expecting to understand, lifted his foot to walk in, Dumpling spoke again, stopping him, "Wait, put this on your wrist."

Saying that, Dumpling handed over a metallic wristband full of sci-fi flair. Chris's first thought upon seeing it was a Samsara Hand (Reincarnation Watch).

He looked at Dumpling in surprise but received no reply, so he took the wristband and examined it carefully, but besides discovering that it could tell time, he couldn't discern anything else.

Seeing this, Chris had no choice but to put on the wristband, and still found nothing strange, which confirmed that this thing was not a Reincarnation Watch.

As soon as Chris stepped into the hibernation pod, Dumpling immediately closed the hatch, then revealed an evil smile.

"fuck! How dare you slander me like that? Just wait until I send you to a world where you'll have a really bad time!"

Saying that, Dumpling began to extract the world coordinates from Chris's body, then searched for worlds that would make him suffer a bit but wouldn't be fatal.

During the intervals between Chris's two previous traversals, his body would instinctively carry the coordinates of other worlds, and this was what Dumpling wanted.

As long as he obtained the coordinates, with his technological capabilities, he could even create spacetime wormholes and actively enter that world.

But because of Chris's slander, Dumpling decided to put those aside for now and first teach Chris a good lesson, letting him know the consequences of speaking carelessly.

Angrily searching for a suitable world, Dumpling then discovered a particularly suitable world coordinate.

"Haha, I didn't expect to find this world! Heaven is truly helping me!"

Having confirmed the suitable world, Dumpling immediately activated the spacetime activation device in the hibernation pod, actively forcing Chris to initiate his talent's directed traversal.

In an instant, Chris disappeared from the hibernation pod.

However, unlike Chris's previous traversals, this time the Family Guy World did not enter a state of spacetime stasis.

Everything continued to develop as usual.
