Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 Elected Student Council President

The next morning, at the Griffin Family's dining table.

Chris, who was drinking milk and eating bread, saw Dumpling walk down the stairs with a pained expression, then head straight towards him.

"Help me onto the dining table, I don't have the strength to climb up."

Seeing Dumpling's appearance, Chris chuckled and carried him to Dumpling's exclusive high chair.

"My pleasure, my brother!"

"Hmph!" Dumpling snorted twice at Chris's schadenfreude and said nothing more.

However, he had remembered this grudge.

Heaven knows how painful his stomach pumping was last night; that beast Peter even took it upon himself to give him an endoscopy just to curry favor.

Thinking of yesterday's ordeal, Dumpling shivered.

"Chris, we've already asked for leave for you at school, but Megan said you seem to have been selected for the position of Student Council President.

So I still hope you can go back to school today to see what other matters need to be handled. Moreover, this is a good qualification for you, which you will use when you go to university later."

Chris, who was enjoying Dumpling eating with a bitter face, was suddenly stunned when he heard Louise's words, not expecting the election results to come out so quickly, and even when he himself was not present.

Megan, seeing Chris's expression, said with some envy, "What kind of charm do you have to make so many students vote for you? Gosh, I wish I were that popular."

"Shut up, Megan! You should be proud of your brother, not saying such sarcastic things here!" Hearing Megan's jealous words, Louise sternly reprimanded her.

Megan, startled by Louise, shrank her neck and immediately responded in a low voice, "Got it, Mom."

And Chris, looking at the scene before him, was at a loss for words for a moment.

Sure enough, no matter which parallel universe, Megan being disliked is destined.

Perhaps this is the price of becoming an Old God!

"Okay, Mom! I'll go to school and take a look, I just hope my classmates aren't too enthusiastic, otherwise I won't get used to it!"

After Megan finished breakfast, Louise drove the two of them to school. Before they got out of the car, Louise said as if she had just remembered, "Oh, Peter said there's a surprise tonight. You two come home early after school, I'll pick you up ahead of time."

Chris nodded doubtfully, then walked towards the campus.

At the same time, he wondered, 'What surprise could Peter have? Did that guy win the lottery?'

Chris, unable to figure it out, arrived at the classroom. When the classmates saw that it was Chris, they all stood up and applauded enthusiastically.

"Oh my gosh! Chris, you're finally back! Do you know? You broke our school's record, elected Student Council President with an absolute advantage of ninety-nine percent!"

Hearing the class representative's words, Chris raised an eyebrow, feeling a little displeased.

Which guys were so clueless that they didn't vote for him!

If the difference from one hundred percent was too great, Chris wouldn't have found it so annoying.

But the problem was that now it was only one percent away from perfection, wasn't this just purely trying to get under his skin?

Fortunately, the quick-witted Johnny was also in this activity class. After seeing Chris's expression turn sour, he immediately came to Chris's side and whispered, "Boss, the remaining one percent was because a few classmates were absent on the day of the vote, so you couldn't get all the votes."

Hearing this, Chris's brow relaxed, and he said with a smile, "Johnny, where did you get that idea? I'm just worried that my classmates trust me so much, but I'm afraid I won't be able to help them!"

"..." Johnny looked at Chris in surprise, as if he hadn't expected him to have such potential as a politician. This was too shameless!

"You seem very surprised, Johnny!"

Sensing Johnny's impolite thoughts, Chris turned his head and looked coldly at this somewhat ignorant subordinate.

He had just thought this guy was quite perceptive.

"No... nothing, Boss! I'm just moved to have a boss like you who cares about the lives of your classmates." Johnny saw Chris's gaze turn cold, immediately squeezed out a few tears, and then said tearfully.

Chris gave him a thumbs up in praise, then patted Johnny's shoulder, "You're sensible! I'm starting to like you, Johnny."

"Alright, class representative, please have everyone sit down! Class is about to start."

Hearing the arrangement from Chris, the prospective president, the class representative, who was about to be promoted to grade representative, immediately followed instructions and had the students take their seats.

Chris attended all the subsequent classes and did not skip again.

However, although he was in the classroom, he didn't listen to the lessons at all, using all the time to understand the rights and obligations of a high school student council president.

And this was hard on Johnny, who racked his brain to scrape together his limited knowledge to explain to Chris.

Fortunately, Chris only needed to understand the general idea and didn't require Johnny to explain too much.

After a few classes, Chris also understood the scope of the Student Council President's power, which could only be described as exceeding his expectations.

As long as Chris could gather enough students, then at school, he could even directly confront the principal, and even win.

But if the students didn't care about him as president, then he was just a nobody on the roadside, whom even any random teacher could ignore.

However, Chris had almost all the student votes, so he was definitely the kind of powerful president who could directly confront the principal.

Even if he used some unconventional tactics, such as asking West to pull some strings, Chris could already enter the City Hall to build his resume.

Three years, whatever Chris did, would be enough for him to immediately become a city councilor after he came of age.

Thinking of the excitement, Chris couldn't help but exclaim, "Johnny, how are those scoundrels' injuries healing? Can they work now?"

Johnny didn't know why Chris asked this, but he still replied truthfully, "Thanks to a new functional drink on the market, all their injuries have healed. What do you need them to do?"

"Do what?" Chris's mouth curved into a slight smile, "I need them to change their past bad habits: quit smoking weed, wash off their tattoos, and break off their promiscuous relationships!"

"I want to establish them as positive role models in the shortest possible time, to show the school how qualified I am as Student Council President!"

"..." Hearing Chris's ambitious speech, Johnny was speechless for a moment, then he quietly reminded him, "But Boss, you're only provisionally elected right now; you won't officially take office until next semester. Right now, you're just a regular student."

"Huh?!"

Chris looked at Johnny in shock, scaring him into trembling.

Damn, I forgot about that!

Chris, who had gotten excited for nothing, said listlessly, "Then let them stay as they are. I'm too lazy to manage them this semester."
