Chapter 71 - Dark Phoenix

Sigurd looked toward Hela. "Why do you want to join the battle? It might be dangerous, and you need to return to Asgard."

Hela heard Sigurd's words, but she still looked at him as if she might cry right away.

"Hela, you are already an adult, but you are acting like a child. Don't you feel ashamed?"

Hela continued to stare at him. Sigurd could only agree.

"I can take you there, but don't even think about joining the battle. If your father finds out I took you there, he will tell your grandmother, and I don't want to be scolded by her."

Hela heard that she was going and didn't even bother to listen to the rest of what Sigurd said. Sigurd didn't bother to look at her further and opened a portal.

"Let's go."

Sigurd and Hela disappeared from the battlefield. Sigrun looked at their disappearing figures, then turned toward the army.

"Everyone, start to regroup. Keep the prisoners in one place. Handle the Asgardian soldiers' bodies with care. Let the frost giants organize their own fallen, but observe them and don't let them escape."

Then she looked toward the battlefield where dead bodies were scattered everywhere.

"War brings great disaster, even if winning feels more like losing."

She could only sigh at the situation. After all, even though she didn't want to fight, the enemy would not let them live in peace.

At the same time, Sigurd and Hela emerged from the portal, but what caught their attention was the battle raging before them.

Sigurd didn't want anyone to sense their presence, so he cast a mirror dimension to conceal them, but he was a moment too late. Just as he thought the battle was only beginning, he noticed two corpses and recognized one as belonging to the Starbrand of the prehistoric era, Mosi, and the other as Ghost Rider.

Without hesitation, he looked toward Hela.

"Stay here. I will try to solve the problem."

Sigurd didn't give Hela a chance to speak and appeared in front of Supreme Doctor Doom, kicking him hard.

Then he looked toward Agamotto, who was bleeding from his right eye.

"How are you, Agamotto?"

Hearing the words, Agamotto looked toward the newcomer and felt relief.

"Sigurd, I thought you wouldn't be able to clear the obstacle in Asgard."

Sigurd shook his head, then turned toward the battlefield where others were fighting.

"These guys misjudged my strength. It was easy to deal with those bugs."

Then he turned back to the battle.

"Quite a unique sight, seeing people from the future fighting."

Sigurd began to look around for others to help, but just as he was scanning the area—

Supreme Doctor Doom, who had been kicked hard by Sigurd, rose from the crater, vomiting blood.

"Damn it, I haven't felt such pain in a long time. Who the hell is this guy?"

Just as Supreme Doctor Doom was thinking, he witnessed the most horrifying scene he could imagine.

Sigurd walked toward Firehair, who was battling Dark Phoenix.

"Hello, Firehair. Quite a unique situation, meeting again."

Firehair heard the words and looked toward Sigurd.

"Sigurd Borson, so you finally have time to visit the battle. What are you talking about? Can't you help solve the problem?"

Sigurd shook his head.

"I thought I should ask before interfering. Who knows—you might attack me for interrupting your battle."

Dark Phoenix Mystique looked at the new person who appeared, as if unaware of her power.

"You really think this is a park?"

She didn't wait for an answer but released her power to attack Sigurd. Just as she thought this attack would kill the person in front of her, what happened next surprised her.

Sigurd looked at the Dark Phoenix energy blast coming toward him. He raised his hand and simply caught it. At the same time, he thrust it back toward Dark Phoenix.

Mystique, surprised that someone could catch her attack, was still regaining her senses when the energy pierced through her body.

Sigurd then appeared directly in front of her and placed his hand on her body. Suddenly, a loud scream echoed throughout the area.

When everyone heard the loud scream, they turned toward the noise, only to see Mystique's Dark Phoenix power being stripped away by someone.

Odin looked toward his brother, who was directly extracting the Dark Phoenix power, and shouted loudly.

"Everyone, concentrate on your enemy! Let these evil bastards be slaughtered here!"

Hearing his words, everyone from the prehistoric era began to fight harder.

At the same time, the Avengers from the future timeline looked toward the person who had killed Dark Phoenix so easily.

Tony Stark looked at the scene, then turned to Thor.

"Thor, do you know who he is?"

Thor looked toward the scene and nodded, but he didn't speak right away, instead focusing on the enemy in front of him.

"Try to focus on the enemy, Tony. Damn, how does this guy have a Destroyer of Asgard? Does anyone have any ideas?"

Black Panther looked toward the opponent. He felt familiar with him but couldn't pinpoint why. Just as they were fighting, Odin appeared in front of them.

"Leave this one to me."

Then Odin looked toward the opponent. "You shouldn't have slaughtered Asgard in your world. Here, you will pay the price."

Hearing Odin's words, King Killmonger looked toward him.

"The same thing was said by the guy I slaughtered along with his family and kingdom."

Odin didn't bother to speak but directly launched Gungnir toward him.

Just as Odin was in a full rage to kill King Killmonger, Captain America and Iron Man were battling Red Skull.

Red Skull looked toward Steve Rogers.

"You are still fighting to save the world, Mr. Rogers."

Steve looked toward Red Skull. "And you're still trying to destroy it."

Tony Stark looked toward the old guys reminiscing.

"Can you guys stop talking? And Captain, let's finish this guy. Someone already scored one."
