Meng Xian and Lingling walked with Gu Yuxuan out of the hospital. Although his wound hadn't fully healed after he spent more than three weeks in the hospital, he was able to move more freely.
Lingling helped him get into the back seat and then walked around the car to get in at the other side. Meng Xian drove.
The streets were busy as usual. The buildings stretched into the sky with the clouds hanging above them. With the chilly breeze, it was clear a new season was approaching.
After a long ride, they got to Gu Yuxuan's apartment complex and went up to his penthouse.
Lingling's eyes widened as she walked in. It was the first time she saw her boss's home, considering herself pretty lucky to be there.
She and Meng Xian placed the bags on the table in the living room.
"You two can head back", Gu Yuxuan said as he sat down on the couch.
"We'll stay a little longer", Meng Xian replied while unpacking the bags.
