Kaelion: What happened?
What was that sound?
How were you able to speak to me?
Vaelthar: Did you forget our pact?
Kaelion: No, but I didn't expect it to work in the real world too!
Vaelthar: I may not fully understand what you mean… but it felt as if you were suddenly displaced, as if you were transported to another world one completely independent of this one.
Kaelion: You could say that…
Vaelthar: Then how did you do it?
Kaelion: It's a long story… but wouldn't it make more sense for you to speak first?
Why did you call me? What's the problem?
Vaelthar: The problem is this… in the two hundred years of my absence, things in this world have changed drastically.
Kaelion: In what way?
Vaelthar: It's as if we're trapped in a tiny area. The creatures all seem fixed at certain levels, and the world itself feels like a rigid, square-shaped zone.
Vaelthar: While you were gone, I explored extensively, and (unfolds a map) we're confined within this area.
There's a wall beyond which I can't see, shrouded in darkness.
It feels as if we can't leave unless something specific is done here.
Kaelion: (examines the map…) Did you encounter any creatures at your level?
Vaelthar: I did, but all of this seems limited… as if we're trapped within an area only eight to ten kilometers wide.
Kaelion: I think this might be part of a bug.
Vaelthar: A bug?
Kaelion: A system error. The fact that I ended up here in the first place is absurd, but perhaps there's a reason behind it…
Vaelthar: I don't know how it happened, but you were able to leave this world. That's why I called you.
Kaelion: Ah… the reason for that…
(explains the system, players, the real world, etc.)
Vaelthar: So, in your terms, we would be considered NPCs.
Your ability to be reborn comes from this being a game and you being a player.
Growing stronger by killing is the result of gaining something called XP and leveling up.
And being transferred into this world from elsewhere…
your soul enters a different body here, while your true body exists somewhere else.
It's extremely confusing, but I think I understand the essence of what you're saying.
And I've realized something else as well…
this "game," as you call it, is connected to what you call the real world.
Because the pact we made is bound to your soul.
No matter where you are, I can communicate with you.
And perhaps… when you leave this world, I might be able to leave with you.
Kaelion: (briefly imagines Vaelthar entering the real world) Ah… no, let's not go there…
There are other possibilities to consider.
But what you're saying makes a lot of sense. You seem to have grasped many things.
System Message… The Safe Zone is being invaded…
