As we headed back to the hideout, my heart felt heavy. Since it was morning, we decided to make a wide circle through the forest so that the people of Bena wouldn't see us.

Once we got back, we told Uchel about the where Inti, Ocello's mom might be. I look of worry and determination came over his face.
"You will need both Cuau and me for the Summit." He said. He sent an apologetic look over to Gine. "The summit requires experience and both Cuau and I have trained there."
"I'll watch Kachel while you go." He turned to me. "I'll protect him with my life." His earnest face made me smile and I went up to him and hugged him tightly.
