All over the world, there are different planets, and in them, different living things of all kinds of races; the humans, elves, chypoons, bokers, hybrids, and other races.
The hybrids are a unique race, having the characteristic of both beast and human. Superstitiously, people believed that that hybrids were created by the coming together of a very intelligent beast and a powerful human who later fell in love and created such a unique race. But even history dies not know how they came out.
Hybrids are known to be a very welcoming race. They assist other races in need and do not hesitate to cater for themselves. They are independent species and make their living by fishing and hunting. They live in a small village with about fifty or so houses and a large castle in the middle. This castle is where the head stays. He is like a prophet for them. Besides the castle is another smaller castle where their spiritual healer stays. People who are sick or injured are taken to the smaller castle for treatments.
The spiritual healer also helps to open portals to different locations either when people want to get there quicker, or when the injured are being brought in. The hybrids harness a lot of magic. Each hybrid can perform at least one magic, but they can also learn different magics depending on how strong the hybrid is.
Normally, the head is known as someone who is stronger or bigger. But for the hybrids, they choose their head based on resilience, that is, endurance and perseverance. To them, their leader is believed to have gone through many things a f have endured them all. This way, they can guide the people to endure and come out in tough situations.
the hybrids use advanced technology, but not as advanced as humans. For example, they use walkie talkie to communicate with each other and that is it, nothing else. They also have small screens for listening to and watching news broadcasts around the world and in their planet. They do not have teleporters and so depend on their spiritual healer to teleport them.
Due to the hybrids having the characteristic of both beast and human, each hybrid was different and unique in their own way. Some looked more human, while others looked more beast-like. For example, Vorgath looked more human, only that the back of his palm and below his ears were covered in fur and his fingers were in the form of long, sharp claws, while the old man named Thorvok looked more like a beast. His fingers and toes were shaped into claws with little furs in his body. He had two horns at the sides of his head and a very long tail at his back almost the length of an average human. The rest of his features were human-like.
Right now, they were still in Thorvok's place with Ariel sitting on the bed. part of her strength had been recovered a d she could now sit up without feeling any pain whatsoever.
"We will be able to accommodate you here, give you a house and clothes but you feed yourself by going for hunts like the others." Thorvok explained and Ariel nodded.
"You're supposed to say 'yes sir' while bowing." Kaelix muttered but Vorgath hit him on his leg signalling for him to keep quiet.
"Now, tell me why you were out there in the woods." Thorvok asked staring intently at her with his eyes more narrowed. Ariel looked back at him but immediately looked away when she felt intimidated by his states
"My race was attacked by aliens."
."What did they look like?"
"Like me, but their ears were less pointed."
"Less pointed... don't tell me the humans..." his voice trailer off and Ariel looked at him again. His eyes were widened and screamed fear
"What's wrong?"
"The aliens that came to attack are called the humans. The human race has the lowest population and are known to kill other ones that are not like them. And your race was their target. this means that if they could attack your race, then ours is the next target."
"Wait, what! Our race us going to be wiped out too?" Kaelix gasped.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that." he replied sharply.
"We will take you go your apartment now." he continued.
"Wait please. Is there a place I can train amd grow my strength? I want to learn how to fight."
"Why would you want to do that?"
"Because my race was wiped out by aliens when we did nothing wrong and mother says I must take revenge. So I can't just sit and do nothing. I really appreciate your help, but I also need to help myself." she stated, tears falling down her cheeks at the mention of her mother.
The atmosphere became tense and Thorvok's aura increased slightly and could now be felt by all due to him thinking about the situation.
"We teach magic here, but not just to anybody. How do I know you're not going to use this against us in the future?"
"I can't hurt those who ho me. I was once a princess and because of that, my life was different from every other person. I was supposed to grow up like a princess in the royal Castle and then eventually get married and become a Queen. Princesses do not fight and that was why I felt helpless when the humans attacked us. I do not like the feeling a d so I have to remove it. That way, you're giving help to other races and, who would want to hurt their helpers?" she explained somewhat shy.
Thorvok thought about it again for a while before finally giving an answer.
"Very well then, let's get you started. And I hope I don't regret this." he said with a fierce look in his eyes.
"I hope so too." Ariel replied and tried to smile.
