Chapter 15 - 15 Battlefield upgrade

"Ding, quest triggered: Warrior Against Ten Thousand."

"Warrior Against Ten Thousand: Throughout history, those who aspire to greatness must be heroes. Requirements: Slay enemy generals and kill over two hundred enemy soldiers. Reward: Troop Training Talent Tree."

Without a word, Lu Ming mounted his horse, sword in hand, and charged forward.

Like an arrow released from a bow, he didn't roar, nor did he utter many words; he simply charged forward like a sharp sword.

Before the enemy general could even speak, he raised his sword, and as the blade grazed, a head flew through the air.

The head flying high in the air stunned both sides; it was a terrifying scene they had never imagined.

Even Dong Zhuo hadn't anticipated that his nephew would be so skilled and brave, perhaps even stronger than his strongest subordinate, Hua Xiong!

The seasoned Dong Zhuo seized the fleeting opportunity, immediately drawing his sword and shouting, "Beat the drums! Advance! All troops, charge! Kill!"

"Kill!" the generals roared back, leading their troops in the charge.

Lu Ming had already plunged into the enemy ranks, his blade flashing, using his charging horse to reap lives.

With each strike, a soldier was felled. He didn't even dodge, holding his twin swords horizontally, relying on his horse to charge and kill. Wherever he went, heads were severed or bodies were cleaved in two.

Lu Ming's horse was a system-given Akhal-Teke, equipped with horseshoes and a saddle, requiring no feeding and possessing exceptional stamina.

His light cavalry class granted him a perfect horsemanship, allowing him to maintain his balance even without gripping the saddle, relying solely on his legs.

He charged recklessly, a complete killing machine.

Not a single soldier, not a single general, could stop him.

And because he was amidst the chaos of battle, he entered a state of extreme focus.

Every movement around him, the trajectory of each soldier's strike, the next move.

The air currents, whether someone was about to ambush him—everything was under his control.

This feeling was incredibly strange; even actions he thought impossible became easy in this state. This is called flow!

Everyone experiences flow. In basketball, aiming, shooting, and scoring are all done in one fluid motion, with unbelievable smoothness.

In video games, performing superhuman feats, pulling off moves you wouldn't believe, creating breathtaking spectacle—these are all forms of flow.

It's a state of breaking through one's own limitations, often representing a surge of adrenaline, and a feeling of lightness and agility!

Whoosh!

A stray arrow came flying, but Lu Ming caught it with his longsword, using the spin to redirect the arrow's force in another direction.

To an outsider, it looked like he caught the arrow with his sword, spun it around, and flung it back!

"Ah!" The attacker screamed, the arrow he had just fired embedded in his head, his eyes wide open, a look of unfinished death on his face.

This scene terrified the rebel soldiers. They had never encountered such a powerful warrior.

Even the supposedly strongest fighters, Ma Chao and Yan Xing, were merely incredibly brave; they couldn't achieve such an exaggerated effect!

Lu Ming ignored the blows from the swords and spears, casually casting a healing spell to restore his health.

Because of their high defense and the uneven attack power of these soldiers, his health was being chipped away bit by bit. However, even a multitude of enemies can be harmful, so he needed to use healing spells frequently to restore his health and avoid sudden death.

This is where the advantage of being a healer became apparent; he could heal himself. Without any worries about health, he could unleash his full power in the slaughter!

Watching the number of enemies on the panel constantly fluctuate, Lu Ming gradually entered a state of excitement.

He began a frenzied killing spree, and his experience points soared with each kill.

Both killing enemies and healing others added experience points.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The system's pleasant notification sound told him that he had leveled up again. After a while, Lu Ming glanced at it, realizing he had reached the level cap since the last notification.

Each stage has a level cap; level twelve allows for a class change, and level fifteen is the maximum. Each class has four stages, each with corresponding attribute boosts, special skills, and even spells.

At this moment, Lu Ming didn't hesitate to change his class, the task of which was to heal his allies five times.

So, without hesitation, he turned around and rushed back in the original direction, casting the Healing Spell on his soldiers.

In Lu Ming's eyes, he could see a green gas enveloping the wounded soldier.

However, others couldn't see it, and the wounded soldier felt nothing, only that his pain had lessened and he felt much better.

This was a world without supernatural beings; not seeing was normal.

He took out a specially made pill, used to restore mana, or mana.

Lu Ming put it in his mouth, chewed it, and swallowed it. A refreshing feeling spread through his stomach, then expanded throughout his body, and his mana recovered somewhat.

"Ding! Job change quest complete, job change successful."

"Current job: Healer (Light Cavalry), learned the spell Vajra Body Protection."

Vajra Body Protection: Repels negative effects from friendly units within a 20-meter radius of the target and grants immunity to negative effects (dizziness, bleeding, burning, poisoning, hypoxia, freezing, chilling).

Seeing this, Lu Ming's eyes lit up. He immediately raised his greatsword and roared.

An invisible wave emanated from his body.

The affected soldiers were enveloped in a yellow glow. The bleeding from some soldiers' wounds stopped, and the dizziness and tinnitus caused by blunt force injuries disappeared.

They were all restored to their optimal condition, roaring and raising their greatswords at the rebels.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The three consecutive sound notifications stunned Lu Ming, for he knew Vajra Body Protection was an extremely powerful skill.

It wasn't because the skill was particularly effective, but because it increased experience points!

His initial estimate was one point of experience, which, based on the number of kills, would be at least half a level.

However, he hadn't expected it to jump three levels in a row! This effect was truly exaggerated, and quite a pleasant surprise!
