The sound was heavy and final. Mirabella's enchanted staff struck a Level 10 Fox's head, the force magnified by her unique multiplier, instantly crushing the creature. She pivoted, her gaze sweeping the area. Cupcake, now a massive, intimidating white tiger, was a blur of motion, dispatching the surrounding foxes with focused lightning strikes and massive paws.
"That Boss won't come out! It's just sending these low-level fodder—Lv5 to Lv10 Foxes!" Mirabella grumbled. This was a common tactic: exhaust the enemy with weak waves.
"Fine," she scoffed. With a flick of her staff, she created a dense storm of arrows hovering above her. She dropped her staff and performed a downward gesture with her hand, converting the energy. Simultaneously, the arrows descended from the sky, smashing into every single exposed Fox, killing them instantaneously.
"We've killed close to thirty foxes. Is the boss scared of me?" she muttered, turning her attention to the dark cave entrance, where ten more foxes were already charging out.
"AHH! So annoying! This is slowing down the grind!"
She created another wave of arrows that burst the bodies of the charging foxes into blood.
"It seems my base magic attack is already too strong for these types of monsters," she noted. She looked over her shoulder at Cupcake, who smashed a Fox's head with a single, powerful paw strike.
"Cupcake's Attack has already risen to 2,000 through consumption, not to mention that all her inherent Bloodline Skills have been maxed thanks to the passive influence of my Royal Bloodline from the Master Account." She exhaled, her mind racing.
She knelt and placed her palm on the cracked earth. "You think you're good at hiding? Let's test that."
She activated a specific skill she'd gained earlier: Ground Shaker: "I got this skill when I killed a powerful Earth Tortoise. Originally, it allowed me to attack any target on the earth within ten meters. But thanks to the Master System's buff, maxing the skill has expanded its range to one hundred meters." She closed her eyes, focusing her newly visible Spirit Energy into the skill.
BOOOOOM!
The ground shuddered violently, and dust and rock shards erupted from the cave entrance.
"Got you," Mirabella whispered, adding pressure to her palm, driving her remaining Spirit Energy into the skill.
'I don't have much energy, but it should be enough to flush him out.'
BOOM!!
The Boss Fox, a huge creature with sleek black fur, burst from a fractured part of the mountain wall and lunged directly toward Mirabella. It had tried to flank them, bypassing the known cave entrance.
"This is..." Mirabella started, surprised by the maneuver.
BAM!!
Before the Boss could complete its trajectory, Cupcake smashed into it, intercepting the attack and throwing the black-furred beast backward with the force of a battering ram.
BANG!
The Fox Boss hit the ground hard, rolling before standing up. Its red eyes burned with a clear, lethal killing intent, its massive claws digging deep marks into the stone.
"His Health Point is 2,000. Attack is 1,000. We can handle this," Mirabella gripped her staff, rapidly summoning tens of Fire Arrows above her head, aiming them strategically at the Fox.
"Although you have 4,000 in Agility—a terrifying speed—you won't be able to dodge this many arrows while simultaneously fighting Cupcake." She smirked. Cupcake lunged toward the Boss, and at that exact moment, Mirabella released the torrent of arrows.
'During our previous battles, I discovered all my attacks are entirely useless to Cupcake, and vice versa. Our link protects us.'
WHOOSH!
The Fox was faster than expected. It sidestepped Cupcake's massive paw and, instead of engaging, ignored the arrows entirely and surged toward Mirabella, aiming for the core threat with deadly bloodlust.
"This fox is even smarter than I thought. Taking me—the ranged threat—out first is a very good tactical idea. But you're fighting someone whose attacks multiply by a hundred times, fool."
Mirabella waited, allowing the Fox to enter her absolute minimum engagement range. The moment it appeared directly in front of her, she materialized ten arrows at point-blank range and shot them forward. The attack was instantaneous, smashing into the Fox and draining all its 2,000 health to zero.
BAM!
The Fox Boss crashed heavily onto the ground, dead.
"One of my arrows is already dangerous enough, but you took ten concentrated shots. There's no way you could survive that." Mirabella walked over, grabbed the Boss Fox's leg, and tossed the carcass to Cupcake.
"It is good your feline bloodline is now fully activated by the Master Account. The stronger the enemy you consume, the faster your innate stats rise."
Cupcake nodded, transforming slightly to tear into the Boss, her immense strength allowing her to rip through the hard fur with ease.
Mirabella moved toward the other dead foxes, rapidly converting every carcass into EXP Cards.
"This here will provide all the strength I need to make the next jump and prepare for that World Boss. I hope." She commanded her system: "Absorb them all."
Green light burst from the cards, flowing directly into Mirabella's body.

She stood up, her focus returning to the golden door. "Time to go get that World Boss, then claim the Armor God's legendary drop."
She looked at Cupcake, who was still consuming the essence of the fallen Boss. "Okay. I will wait for you. We fight that monster together."
