The Goddess's concealment power truly was formidable. Ma'am M had completely failed to notice last night's events, and Silas's original worries lightened considerably.

Once his mind was at ease, the drowsiness he'd been forcibly suppressing came flooding back.

"Cecilia, I'm going to get some sleep." Silas yawned, feeling incredibly nostalgic for his bed. "Don't wake me before lunch."

He turned and headed upstairs, entered his bedroom, and, merely removing his outer clothes, climbed into bed and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Downstairs in the living room, Ma'am M's eyes followed Silas the entire time, until he entered his room and closed the door.

"Now, where were we in our conversation?"

Only then did she withdraw her gaze and ask Cecilia with a smile.

"You were just saying that I could also become a Beyonder."

Cecilia said cautiously and politely.

Terrifying and bizarre scenes flooded Silas's dreams.

He dreamed that disaster had descended upon the world.

He dreamed that everyone was suffering torment.

Disease ran rampant, pain proliferated. Rain of fire fell from the sky, blizzards, floods... People cried out in despair, meeting their end.

Above the blood-rust colored sky was a chaos impossible to describe with words.

Each of His tentacles was like a giant serpent capable of devouring heaven and earth.

As the serpents' mouths opened and closed, endless disasters descended upon the mortal world.

In the dream, Silas felt utterly helpless. He could only grasp his sister's hand and desperately run toward safety.

After running for who knows how long, light finally appeared before his eyes.

Thank goodness, Cecilia, we're saved!

He turned back joyfully, wanting to share his happiness with his sister, only to see with horror that he was only holding a severed hand and a section of wrist...

"Ah!"

Silas cried out and jumped up from the bed.

Breathing heavily, he looked around and finally recognized his own bedroom.

"...Was that a nightmare?"

Feeling cold sweat sliding down his forehead, he unconsciously murmured.

The last time he'd had a nightmare was the night Hanass attacked him... No, wait.

Following this logic, this definitely wasn't a simple nightmare! This was his spirituality warning him!

He suddenly became alert. Last time he'd had a nightmare, it was right before the attack.

This nightmare also seemed to be pointing to something.

What was in the dream? Disaster, and my sister being harmed...

Am I forgetting something?

Silas carefully recalled, then suddenly shuddered.

When he'd come in earlier, he'd been extremely tired. All his limited energy had been focused on guarding against Ma'am M.

He'd forgotten to pay attention to Cecilia.

She'd been alone with that madwoman all night, and when he came in just now, both of them were sitting on the sofa. What were they doing, chatting?

She wouldn't be instilling something dangerous into my sister, would she!

At this thought, Silas couldn't care about anything else. He immediately got out of bed, threw on some clothes, and hurried downstairs.

Sure enough, just as he'd suspected, Ma'am M and Cecilia were both sitting on the sofa. Ma'am M appeared to be explaining something to his sister. Hearing Silas's movement, they both stopped and looked toward him.

"Silas, what's wrong?"

Seeing his abnormal state, Cecilia asked with some surprise.

Silas didn't respond. Instead, he walked straight over, pulled his sister behind him, and looked warily at Ma'am M. "What are you trying to do to my sister?"

Ma'am M wore a smile on her face.

As if she hadn't understood Silas's words, she tilted her head slightly, and her blood-red, glossy hair slid smoothly from her shoulder.

When a mature, beautiful woman made such a gesture, it appeared quite alluring and very enticing.

But Silas only felt like she was a poisonous snake flicking its tongue.

"I was merely teaching your sister some basic mysticism knowledge."

Ma'am M explained calmly. "Filling in for the duty you as her brother have failed to fulfill, helping your sister understand the real world."

Cecilia had experienced extraordinary events together with Silas and knew that her brother and the people from Blackthorn Security Company all had some peculiar abilities.

But as for more specific details, due to confidentiality clauses and not wanting his sister to worry, Silas hadn't explained them to her in detail.

Silas turned back and glanced at Cecilia.

Understanding his meaning, Cecilia immediately leaned close to his ear and quietly repeated what Ma'am M had taught her. Basically, they were relatively fundamental topics like potions, sequences, and pathways.

"Why are you telling Cecilia these things? What are you trying to do?"

While relieved, Silas was also somewhat puzzled.

"Because I feel it's unfair to your sister."

Ma'am M smiled, giving an incredible answer. "You, as her brother, have already become a Beyonder and gained Beyonder abilities.

But your sister can only follow behind you, be a supporting character who looks up at you, cheers and applauds for you, serves you like a servant..."

"I've never thought that way!"

Hearing Ma'am M's words, Cecilia was first shocked, then became angry.

"You don't know what kind of person my brother is at all, and you don't know what kind of life we've lived together. Stop making wild speculations here!"

"Is that so? I apologize."

Ma'am M wasn't angered by the rebuttal. Instead, she smiled and continued asking, "But you do yearn for the extraordinary world, don't you?"

Cecilia pressed her lips together and didn't answer.

Silas couldn't help but glance at his sister.

Yes, normal people would all hope to gain extraordinary abilities. It was completely understandable that Cecilia had similar thoughts. He, as her brother, had been negligent, not telling his sister about the dangerous and insane aspects of the extraordinary world.

"I'm sorry, Cecilia."

He said softly, "I just wanted you to have a more stable life, so I didn't tell you these things normally.

Of course, you can also choose this kind of life.

But you don't need to rely on her. You could completely join the Nighthawks.

Wouldn't it be much better for us to be proper official Beyonders together... Never believe any of this madwoman's nonsense."

"I'm sorry, Brother."

Cecilia looked like she was about to cry. Her beautiful, large eyes were covered with a layer of mist. "I just wanted to help you.

I was originally trying to test her and get information from her. It's not like what she said..."

"It's fine."

What else could Silas say? He could only comfort his sister.

He also understood the unease in his sister's heart at this moment, the anxiety of wanting to change the current situation.

She didn't know what Silas had done last night. "Trust me, things will be resolved soon."

Looking up at the clock, the time was around eleven.

Although still somewhat tired, he no longer had the mood to sleep. Instead, he brought Cecilia into the kitchen and began preparing today's lunch.

He left Ma'am M sitting on the sofa. Ma'am M had no particular reaction either, amusing herself as she waited. When the food was served, she very naturally sat down at the dining table.

Silas ignored her and ate his meal on his own.

"By the way, about yesterday's mass casualty case, would you like to hear some clues from me?"

At that moment, Ma'am M suddenly asked as if just remembering something. "I can give you a hint. This matter is related to witches."

Witches?

Silas's hand, reaching for the bread, couldn't help but pause.
