Chapter 181 - [182] : River of Blood

"Imprison!"

Heras's right hand, wearing a black iron-colored metal glove, pointed at Silas as he declared with supreme authority.

Silas was then sealed within an isolated space, as if the surrounding air had instantly become solid.

The other Beyonders took the opportunity to rush forward and attack him.

"Crack!"

The scarred woman swung her black whip, striking Silas precisely. The whip made a crisp sound but only left a shallow mark on Silas's skin.

However, a cruel smile appeared on the woman's face. Because this whip didn't target the body but the spirit, making victims feel incredibly intense pain!

She looked at Silas expectantly, seemingly waiting for him to let out a miserable cry. But she only met Silas's cold and crazed gaze. That look seemed to ask, "Is that all?"

The moment the whip touched his body, intense pain did stimulate Silas's spirit. But compared to the True Creator's ravings, this pain was nothing.

"Katie, get back!"

The bearded man beside her shouted, raising the high-pressure steam rifle and charging forward.

This rifle had a complex structure with a thick barrel and a body connected by tubes to a massive mechanical box.

Such high-pressure steam rifles were powerful weapons classified as military-controlled items with astonishing power.

"Boom!"

The bearded man took his stance, aimed at the imprisoned Silas, and pulled the trigger.

The steam rifle made a tremendous sound, vibrations even making the hall's glass tremble.

Large amounts of white steam sprayed from the exhaust port on the back of the gun body the moment he pulled the trigger.

The airflow was extremely fast, friction against the port producing sharp explosive sounds.

Looking at Silas in the center of the field, the imprisoned figure still stood in place, but a massive hole had appeared in his chest.

However, the figure quickly became flat, shrank, and finally transformed into a paper figure that scattered.

Paper figurine substitute!

"Whoosh!"

The instant everyone lost their target, crimson flames surged like flowing water, appearing behind the old-looking Beyonder.

In the firelight, Silas's handsome yet crazed face suddenly emerged. He shot out his right hand like lightning and grabbed the man's throat.

The Shepherd's characteristics let him see that this guy was the weakest of this group!

"Puff!"

All the openings on the old-looking man's face spurted blood at the same moment.

He shed bloody tears, mouth gaping wide. Silas unceremoniously used flesh magic, forcing the blood in his body to squeeze out from everywhere.

If it were a stronger Beyonder, they could still resist such magic, but for him, this strike was already lethal enough.

"Parker! Damn it!"

Seeing Silas use multiple abilities simultaneously, Heras shouted in terror and rage. "This guy is a Shepherd!"

Except for Capim, who knew nothing about the Beyonder world, the other three showed tremendous panic and fear upon hearing this title.

Sequence 5 Shepherd!

Almost simultaneously, Heras took out a black iron-colored glove from his chest and quickly put it on.

His body then became even more dignified and terrifying, as if he were a magnificent knight judging and punishing all rebels.

"Grazing is prohibited here!"

He pointed the glove forward and shouted desperately.

The black iron metal glove emitted strange light. Invisible laws immediately formed in the space.

Although invisible to the naked eye, they were like rules that must be obeyed, directly affecting people's bodies, minds, and souls. As if violating them would bring severe punishment.

"Ugh..."

Silas's body swayed.

The lamb souls that had been active within him suddenly became sluggish. Although not impossible to drive, he felt that forcing them would produce bad consequences.

His "Grazing" ability within had been restricted!

"Finish him! We don't have much time!"

Seeing the glove take effect, joy flashed in Heras's eyes. A Shepherd without grazing ability was still troublesome, but at least he could see hope of victory!

Silas looked up, staring deeply at Heras. This guy was very skilled at using the glove.

The golden mask from that night probably wasn't him, otherwise he wouldn't have obtained the manuscript so easily back then.

Feeling the sluggishness of the souls within him, Silas tightened his grip on the neck of the man called Parker, murmuring softly. Parker's body began turning red and swelling.

"Swoosh!"

Silas's body pulled back, then he threw Parker's corpse at the three of them.

"Seal!"

Heras's eyes tightened as he shouted loudly.

"Boom!"

"Hiss..."

An explosion immediately followed.

Flesh burst open, turning into countless corrosive liquids that burned against the invisible wall Heras created.

Just as Heras and the others, having dodged disaster, were about to breathe a sigh of relief, the next scene made their eyes widen in terror.

The roses that had originally covered the ground began moving. The crimson liquid began converging, rushing, until it formed an astonishingly powerful red river!

A river of blood!

"How is this possible!"

Heras cried out in shock.

Such a massive amount of flesh and blood being controlled simultaneously... if it were an ordinary Shepherd, they would need to use a ritual to achieve such a terrifying effect!

The river flowed around Silas, occasionally bubbling up with several agonized faces that bobbed up and down.

These faces were precisely those of the guests and servants from earlier.

"Crash!"

The blood river surged skyward, churning with giant waves.

If an explosion made from one human body was that dangerous, how terrifying would the damage from a ground full of roses be?

"Blood magic is prohibited here!"

Heras was terrified beyond measure. He raised his arm again and issued a loud proclamation.

The black iron glove took effect accordingly, invisible rules being constructed.

But at the same time, his complexion became increasingly pale, as if bearing a great burden.

His eyes constantly swept over the door and windows, seemingly determining which was the best escape route.

"Ugh!"

Silas's body swayed. The blood river's rushing speed instantly slowed.

Two consecutive "prohibitions" issued... very strong... But unfortunately, I have many more tricks.

Silas laughed maniacally, looking at the three people opposite with undisguised malicious intent.

"Die!"

He issued a declaration in ancient Hermes.

"Ah!"

Filthy and maddening impact instantly exploded in their minds. The three clutched their heads, letting out pained cries.

As if hammers were pounding their brains, blood quickly flowed from their nostrils.

Among them, Heras could barely endure it, but Katie and the bearded man appeared in extreme pain, unable to stand.

Opposite them, Silas chanted prayers in a low voice, slowly approaching.

Heras reluctantly recovered from the madness.

He hesitated, then took out a potion from his chest and drank it down.

"Swoosh!"

After drinking the potion, his spirituality surged again. His complexion changed from pale to an unhealthy flush.

"Imprison!"

He pointed at Silas and shouted.

Just as Silas was about to continue uttering profane words, his body was imprisoned again.

"Illegally invading another's residence is a crime!"

"Illegally invading another's residence is a crime!"

"Illegally invading another's residence is a crime!"

Heras seized the opportunity, solemnly shouting three times in succession, pronouncing Silas guilty. "The guilty shall be punished!"

Silas's body became increasingly rigid, as if he had violated noble decrees and become a criminal deserving judgment.

"Swoosh!"

Some powerful rule stacked onto Heras. His figure became incomparably tall.

"Flog!"

Heras shouted.

"Crack! Crack!"

"Bang! Bang!"

Invisible whips appeared from the void, lashing Silas. He couldn't dodge, being whipped with wounds deep to the bone.

Katie and the bearded man took the opportunity to attack. One used a revolver loaded with Beyonder bullets, the other used the high-power steam rifle. They simultaneously opened fire on Silas!

Silas's body quickly showed numerous wounds. He was beaten until he swayed unsteadily, as if about to be killed.

Joy appeared in Katie and the bearded man's eyes, but Heras sensed something wrong. Would a Shepherd be killed so easily?

"Crash!"

Under continuous whipping and gunfire, Silas's body collapsed, breaking into countless pieces of flesh and blood.

However, this flesh and blood actually began moving rapidly and merged with the blood river on the ground.

Merged into one!
