Chapter 494 - [495] : Take Me Aboard!

"Boom..."

Dust filled the air.

That spectacularly powerful attack had nearly split the entire room in half.

Sounds of servants' alarmed cries and running footsteps seemed to come from deep in the corridor.

The adverse consequences of this strike had already manifested. Silas's operation was exposed!

A figure stepped over the shattered door and entered the room.

It was an extremely tall middle-aged man with two straight swords strapped to his back, his pale golden hair neatly combed back, his expression exceptionally cold.

"Your Highness."

He said calmly to Sophia in Feysac, "Please come to my side."

"Swish!"

As he spoke, Silas saw a silver radiance rapidly approaching.

The light was brilliant and dazzling, like the dawn itself.

"Hm?"

On the other side of Bayam, in the Naval Admiral's private residence, Amyrius Rieveldt suddenly looked up toward empty space.

"What's wrong?"

His mistress Cynthia asked in confusion.

She had blonde hair and blue eyes, a gentle femininity softened by a hint of youthful energy.

"Something's wrong at the Governor's Mansion. I need to take a look."

Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt rose abruptly, straightening his crisp military uniform.

His expression became extremely serious, softening only slightly when he looked at Cynthia. "You stay here. Don't go out..."

"Bang!"

Before he could finish his warning, he heard another explosion.

Turning to look out the window toward the Governor's Mansion, a crimson flesh-and-blood firework was bursting in mid-air.

The plaza in front of the Governor's Mansion's main hall.

"Klein's intelligence was wrong..."

Several crisscrossing sword qi tore up the brick pavement of the plaza.

Silas, holding Roy King in one hand, thought to himself.

"Tap."

The tall man landed opposite them, gripping straight swords in both hands.

A complex dark green symbol appeared in each of his left and right eyes, scanning back and forth over Silas as if observing something.

His spirituality overflowed.

Judging from his rank, he was undoubtedly a Sequence 4 Beyonder!

A third Sequence 4, outside the plan!

He appears to be Sophia's Feysac bodyguard? Then he should be a demigod of the Warrior pathway, a "Demon Hunter."

Silas rapidly made his assessment.

Honestly, this was a bit troublesome.

If it was just two Sequence 4s, Silas was confident he could handle them.

But with one more added, he wouldn't be able to manage in his normal state, and that "Sea King" might return at any moment.

The dark green symbols in the Demon Hunter's eyes disappeared.

He squinted slightly and smeared light gray ointment on both straight swords.

The next instant, his figure vanished from the spot.

Silas immediately drew the Cull of Spiritual Flesh, holding it before him.

"Boom!"

The straight sword collided with his pitch-black greatsword, immediately producing a tremendous sound.

He saw the layer of ointment on the straight sword evaporating and glowing, somehow resisting the erosion of the "Cull of Spiritual Flesh" to a certain degree.

The Demon Hunter demigod looked at the pitch-black greatsword in his hand, his eyes flickering slightly, and quickly retreated before the erosion could consume the ointment.

"...Aurora Order?"

He asked in a low voice.

Aurora your ass.

Silas cursed inwardly, shot him a cold glance, and slowly retreated while pulling Roy King.

The island actually had three demigods.

This exceeded his expectations. Before they could converge and surround him, leaving was the wisest choice.

"Wait for me, Lord Blood Reverend! Take me aboard your ship too!"

At this moment, Sophia Einhorn had already rushed out of the front hall onto the plaza. As she ran over, she shouted at Silas.

Silas ignored her, only staring into the opposite demigod's eyes.

Clearly, he didn't intend to agree to Sophia's request.

Though he didn't know what had happened to her, that demigod obviously wouldn't consent.

Taking her aboard would escalate the other party's hostility and make his attacks even more ferocious.

"Your Highness."

The Demon Hunter blocked her while still observing Silas, not attacking again.

As expected, his priority target is Sophia.

As long as I don't show further hostility, he won't escalate matters... Silas thought.

Wind rose beneath his feet as he prepared to leave with Roy King.

But just then, he suddenly heard a lazy voice.

"Take her along too."

Medici said from within his body.

He'd kept a low profile for a long time, but as soon as he spoke, he created quite a problem for Silas.

"Are you joking?"

Silas asked coldly.

"Not joking. She's useful to me."

The Red Angel's wraith quite readily gave his reason.

"She's a direct descendant of the Einhorn family, after all."

"Why should I listen to you?"

Silas was somewhat exasperated.

This idiot Medici seemed to completely misunderstand the current situation. He couldn't delay any longer!

"Don't you always want to know what that thing in your head is?"

Medici's voice carried amusement. "If you can take her away, I'll tell you what I know."

"!"

Silas's figure paused.

"Swear to your Lord."

He didn't hesitate long before immediately saying in a deep voice.

"Fine, I swear."

Medici sneered. "In the name of the Creator I once believed in."

Though His tone was flippant, a certain spiritual connection let Silas confirm this guy was serious.

Silas took a deep breath.

Below in the plaza, Sophia Einhorn saw him begin to float upward. Her beautiful eyes were already filled with disappointment.

But to her surprise, the Blood Reverend paused in mid-air, then suddenly turned back and descended!

"Sorry, you'll have to wait a bit longer."

Silas said to Roy King.

Under the latter's helpless gaze, the pitch-black shadow beneath him instantly spread upward, covering his entire body, making him suddenly grow taller, transforming into a small giant over two meters tall.

Black Knight, armored!

Under Sophia's delighted yet fearful gaze, the giant in deep black armor raised his right hand toward the sky.

"Bang!"

A mass of flesh and blood shot from his palm toward the sky, exploding in mid-air into a crimson firework.

At the same time, at Blue Mountain Island's port.

"Woo..."

The steam whistle blared.

When the other ships saw an ironclad warship gleaming with metallic luster entering the port, they automatically chose to yield, allowing it priority access to the dock.

This was both respect for the Royal Navy and a way to avoid trouble.

On the port's coordination platform, soldiers were waving signal flags.

"That flag signal means... yes, they're asking for our vessel's identification number!"

Anderson used a ritual from the Church of Knowledge to memorize the relevant intelligence and immediately directed the sailors nearby.

"Do as I taught you! Tell them we're from Oravi Island here for defense support!"

Looking at the shore batteries on both sides of the port, sweat beaded on his forehead, his nerves highly tense.

Fortunately, the intelligence from The Hanged Man was more reliable than Klein's.

After an exchange of flag signals, they successfully deceived the coordination platform, entered the inner harbor, and successfully docked at the pier.

Almost simultaneously, Anderson saw a flesh-and-blood firework rise in the distance from the direction of the Governor's Mansion.

"The captain's signaling!"

He immediately shouted to his subordinates. "Fire!"
