Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Start of Journey

Hi, I'm new to writing fanfiction on this platform, and I welcome suggestions :D

At maximum altitude, the figure of a medium-sized airplane could be glimpsed soaring through the skies.

Inside it was a distinctive boy, apparently 17-19 years old, with peculiar blond hair and blue pigmentation at the bottom of his hair.

His name is Michael Kaiser, one of the new prodigies of the new generation of soccer, representing Germany.

"Ugh, this must be a joke," he muttered somewhat listlessly at the idea of visiting Japan.

He wasn't a big fan of the country, to tell the truth. In his own words, although the country was beautiful and attractive in terms of tourism, it was not very well regarded in foreign countries as a good place to live your whole life.

"Living in a society where people spend their entire lives working like slaves is a sad thing," Kaiser thought to himself as he looked out the airplane window, wearing a hood and mask to conceal his identity.

Although Japan was not particularly an extreme consumer of soccer, due to the country's poor performance for decades, he did not want to risk being recognized by anyone; in Kaiser's words, it was better to avoid unnecessary problems.

And considering the popularity and controversy that the genius (Itoshi Saemi) has had lately; it is not surprising that rumors about the talented new generation are in the public eye, although it has not yet reached the point of being scandalous since they have not yet performed in the major leagues and are currently limited to the U-20s. Even so, they enjoy a certain popularity among their representative countries and foreigners.

"At least in Germany, I've heard news about her (Itoshi Sae), to say the least," Kaiser muttered to himself.

"How boring. I better hope this trip to that damn Blue Lock is worth it," Kaiser thought to himself before closing the window and closing his eyes to rest.

Hours and hours passed, and now our protagonist was outside Haneda Airport in Tokyo after going through all that suffering. Sitting for more than six hours and rotating from time to time to go to the bathroom was not particularly pleasant.

Kaiser was wasting time on his cell phone, unmoved by the number of people leaving the airport. There were so many people that it was surprising how normal it seemed.

"I see that the content about Japan and its famous crowded trains wasn't as exaggerated as they portrayed it," Kaiser thought surprised.

.

.

.

.

Minutes later, a black car approached the airport terminal where our protagonist was standing.

Kaiser watched impassively as the car stopped in front of him. A woman with short red hair began to get out of the car, wearing a formal beige outfit and a blue undershirt, with a small black box in her hands.

The girl recognized Kaiser, nodded her head in greeting, and took out her phone.

"Welcome to Japan, Kaiser-kun. My name is Anri, and I am the representative of Blue Lock," she said in German on the redhead's phone as a means of communicating with Kaiser, who did not understand Japanese.

Kaiser nodded politely and did not say anything due to the language barrier. According to his teacher, his rival Ego Jinpachi had the means to solve that problem without too much trouble.

Anri opened the black box in her hand, revealing a pair of headphones and a small microphone built into them, both black with the Blue Lock logo.

Without further ado, Anri handed the box to Kaiser with an instruction manual written in German.

A few seconds after reading what it was about, Kaiser began to put on the headphones and set them up properly according to the instructions he had received.

"Hmm, now you understand me?" Kaiser asked Enri, who nodded with a smile.

"Once again, I am Kaiser-kun. My name is Anri Teirei, and I am the representative of Blue Lock. The terms of the contract between Jinpachi-san and Noa-san state that you will be in Japan for five months at the Blue Lock facilities to encourage the players," Anri exclaimed with a serious expression toward Kaiser.

Kaiser nodded in agreement with a small smile on the outside, although on the inside...

"Ugh, I'm still angry at that idiot teacher for forcing me to participate in this," Kaiser thought with some resentment

.

After a few minutes of conversation between the two, Anri asked Kaiser to get in the car to take him to the Blue Lock facilities, warning him that the trip would be a long one.

Kaiser nodded politely and then sat in the back of the vehicle.

.

.

A few hours later, the silhouettes of Kaiser and Anri could be seen with their backs turned at the Blue Lock facility.

"Come with me, Kaiser-kun," said Anri, opening the facility.

"Okay,"

Kaiser replied indifferently but without being rude.

(Author: He retains his arrogant side, but I minimized it a bit by showing it only in games. Outside of games, he has a more pleasant personality. With nothing more to say, I'll continue.)

Soon, Kaiser was walking through the Blue Lock facilities, only without his hood and mask and wearing only his formal clothes. Anri had told him earlier that he would find the facility's uniform in his locker after the ego presentation was over.

According to Anri, most people here didn't know him, so he would go unnoticed for the most part, or at least that's what she assured him.

"I guess it's better this way, after all, I'm just a motivator for them to try harder," Kaiser thought as he finished putting on the Blue Lock uniform in his locker, then put on his light clothes without the hood over it, which he would take off again after Ego's announcement was over.

.

.

.

Something he didn't anticipate when he entered the meeting room was that mixed soccer was becoming even more popular in Japan. According to Anri, the vast majority of women here were skilled and talented enough to rival the men, which Kaiser found interesting when he heard it from Anri.

Kaiser could see a large number of people around him, but luckily no one recognized him.

"Thank goodness, I don't want any trouble around me," Kaiser thought as he walked toward one of the walls of the room, observing everything in silence.

What Kaiser certainly did not anticipate, however, was that although they did not recognize him as one of the prominent geniuses of the new generation, his appearance was dazzling to everyone due to his facial features, which they had never seen before. Shortly after, however, they lost interest and continued talking among themselves.

While most of the boys and girls mingled and talked among themselves, Kaiser was analyzing everyone as he leaned against the wall of the room.

"This bad habit of analyzing everything with my peripheral vision has even transferred to my habits outside the soccer field, although if it is beneficial, it is at least curious that I still can't control it outside the field," Kaiser thought, moving his head constantly as he analyzed each participant.

.

.

.

Minutes and minutes passed among the participants' chatter, until the presence of a man on a television screen became apparent to everyone, silencing the conversations.

"Tch, testing, one, two."

"Congratulations, diamonds in the rough. Here among you are 300, yes, 300 forwards of the new generation under the sub-20, who have been chosen by Blue Lock through my decisions. You came here with the goal of changing your monotonous lives and transforming yourselves into something beyond your current selves. My name is Ego Jinpachi. I was hired to lead Japan to world victory, change the mediocrity that plagues Japan, and win the World Cup."

Kaiser nodded with a small smile, interested in Ego's mentality. As far as he knew, Japan was not particularly challenging in important matches. Very few players managed to shine in the world's most important cups, especially the World Cup. Various countries turned out to be more competitive, except for Japan.

"It's even more fun to fight against the South Americans," Kaiser thought amusedly, but without showing his emotions openly.

"How do you plan to achieve that goal?!" shouted one of the participants.

"Simple, I'll put it simply. Japan only needs one thing to become the greatest power in soccer: the creation of an exceptional and revolutionary striker. From the 300 participants here, we will forge the best striker in the world through this project."

"To achieve this, we have built this facility called 'Blue Lock.' From now on, everyone here will live in the facility for a while and follow my instructions and specialized training program. You will not be able to return home. Your goal is to survive in this environment and defeat the remaining 299 players. You, the last player standing, will become the best striker in the world."

"That's all for the details. Nice to meet you all."

"Hmm, finally a decent environment and project. So this is why Master Noa was interested in sending me here to improve. Well, it's certainly more interesting to defeat this bunch of scum to improve my skills. At Bastard, I was too comfortable and couldn't improve beyond my physical appearance. Apart from the clashes against Lorenzo the Idiot and his defense-centered team, no one else is a challenge. The rabbit (Bunny Iglesias) refuses to compete against the academy for reasons I don't know, and that genius (Itoshi Sae fem) only trains at Real Madrid and travels," Kaiser thought with a smile of interest in the idea of ego and the consequences it brought for the losers.

(Author's note: This Kaiser is more inexperienced, although he is established as a genius. Take this as a slight nerf to his overall abilities so as not to make him a Gary Stu at this stage of the story).

...

...

...

Everyone was silent at Ego's words.

"Hey, I'm sorry, but I can't accept what you just said," said someone in the crowd.

Kaiser looked at a white-haired boy standing next to a black-haired girl with blue eyes and a puzzled expression.

"For most of us, our team is the highest priority, especially for those who participate in the nationals."

"There's no way I can accept those kinds of terms. I can't imagine abandoning my own team."

"That's right, I'm playing in the nationals too."

"Why do we all have to live together!?"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

.

.

.

"Idiots," Kaiser thought with a serious expression as he watched them. "Soccer is more complex than a mere feeling of brotherhood. It seems that they don't even know about the internal disputes that professional players have, especially towards those who are talented. The team, while important, is not indispensable. If you don't have the necessary skills, you will be nothing more than a mediocre player condemned to a lifetime of sitting on the bench with a low salary, and with a high chance of not even being recognized by others, whether fans or teammates." Kaiser monologued with a serious expression, remembering his experiences at the Bastard Academy due to his inability to communicate with others. If it weren't for his talent and skill, which later enabled him to tame his team and establish himself as the best striker, he would have ended up being forgotten and used by others as a mere Buffon.

"I see... You guys are pretty screwed up in the head, huh?"

"Then get lost, if you're thinking of leaving, go ahead."

All protests were silenced under Ego's serious and irritated expression.

"What are your teams? Do you really prefer to be a high school champion in this mediocre country? Eh? I'm embarrassed to imagine seeing you and starting the future of Japanese soccer."

"Do you even understand? Japan is the best country in the world in terms of soccer organizations and organizational skills, which is what most people attribute to our innate national character, but to give you an idea of the rest, we are mediocre."

"Take those words back! We all grew up here watching Japanese soccer, and you're saying our idols are only second-rate?" exclaimed the white hair boy.

Kaiser just sighed, closed his eyes, and tuned out the rest of the conversation.

"Are you referring to the team that hasn't won a single World Cup yet? I don't care about that rubbish dumbs. Please, let's talk about Noel Noa, for example. He managed to win the ball from impressive players like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo."

"I still wonder how that idiot Master managed to pull off that feat. He's an irritating slacker when it comes to training, and the restrictions he imposes on me are a real headache." Kaiser thought, opening his eyes, uninterested in the scene, although what he didn't know was that he was being watched by a black-haired girl with yellow pigmentation in her hair and a mischievous smile on her face.

"I don't know why, but that boy makes the monster tremble with excitement and fear. He's not like the other idiots," thought the girl with a mischievous smile as she watched Kaiser.

(Author's note: I won't go on any longer with the ego explanation, there's already too much filler).

.

.

.

.

"Soccer is a sport to be played as forwards. Think literally that everyone else on the field is supporting you, put your common sense aside and focus on one thing: on the field, you are the star."

After finishing those words, everyone present felt an endless emotion run through their bodies. The most notable were a short, blue-eyed brunette standing next to the white-haired man, a long-haired redhead, a brunette with yellow eyes and part of her hair, a brunette with green eyes and a cold expression, among others.

"Eh, that man certainly has a way with words. If I were an ordinary player, I would also be excited. Maybe this is a great opportunity to leave my nest of conformity at Bastard and improve even more so that that idiot master stops bothering me and kicks me out of Bastard when the right moment come to me." Kaiser thought with an excited smile, walking slowly toward the open door while the others ran with enthusiasm and excitement at Ego's words.

"Well, we'll see what I'm capable of. Don't disappoint me, Blue Lock," Kaiser muttered with a mischievous smile, being the last to enter before the door was closed.

.

.

.

.

"Did he come in?" Ego asked Enri, who was standing next to him.

"Yes, Ego-san, just as you asked Mr. Noa," Anri replied with a nod.

"Good. Of all the geniuses of the new generation, he is the most compatible to stimulate them and develop their egos. I want to see the outcome of this, and maybe Japan will finally get a select group of suitable talents who can compete with each other and become one of them, the best striker in the world," said Ego with a macabre smile and a look that was disturbing to say the least.

"Start the preparations, Anri. Blue Lock is about to begin."

.

.

.

.

.

"Blue Lock, huh? I hope it's fun," said Kaiser with a confident smile as he walked toward the open door, a slight white flash adorning his face, highlighting his first-rate features and face.
