Screen 1 – Remedial Course Announcement
The classroom is quiet as Aizawa finishes speaking.
"Bakugo. Todoroki. You two failed the Provisional License Exam.
You'll attend a remedial course to earn it later."
Bakugo clicks his tongue. "Tch."
Todoroki lowers his gaze, calm but clearly frustrated.
Ben leans back in his chair, arms crossed.
"So… you guys have to go to hero summer school."
Bakugo snaps his head toward him.
"Shut up. You just got lucky."
Ben shrugs. "Nah. You got angry. He got distracted."
He nods toward Todoroki.
"That's not bad luck. That's unfinished business."
Todoroki exhales. "…You're not wrong."
Ben stands up, serious now.
"Look, it's annoying. I get it.
But if this fixes your blind spots, then do it."
Bakugo scowls. "Don't act like my coach."
Ben smirks.
"Relax. I'm not.
Just don't fall behind."
Aizawa watches the exchange silently.
For once, Bakugo doesn't argue back.
He turns away, fists clenched.
Ben glances at his Omnitrix, then at his classmates.
"Guess we'll see you licensed soon."
The gap between them isn't gone —
but it's clearly shrinking.
Screen 2 – The Omnitrix Fix
Ben sat on the couch in the common room, flipping through TV channels while his Omnitrix lay dark and red on his wrist.
"Come on… don't tell me you're still dead," he muttered.
Suddenly, the screen flickered. A familiar small figure appeared in a green hologram.
Azmuth.
"Ben Tennyson," Azmuth said flatly. "Stop fidgeting. I am fixing the Omnitrix."
Ben straightened up. "Wait—how long has it been? Feels like forever."
Azmuth adjusted his device.
"Only five days have passed in our world."
Ben blinked. "Oh. That's… actually not bad."
A final tone sounded. The Omnitrix flashed green again.
Azmuth nodded. "The glitches are resolved. Timers stabilized. Damage repaired. Try not to break it immediately."
At that moment, Midoriya stepped into the room, eyes wide.
"W-Who is that? Is that… an alien?!"
Azmuth glanced at him briefly.
"A curious universe. Unstable biology. Questionable hero system."
Ben rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, that's Azmuth."
The hologram began to fade.
"My work here is complete," Azmuth said. "Ben, do not disappoint me."
"Yeah, yeah. No pressure," Ben replied.
The image vanished. The room fell silent.
Midoriya stared at Ben, stunned.
"…Did the watch just get fixed by a galaxy-level genius?"
Ben smiled as the Omnitrix pulsed steadily.
"Yep. Back in business."Screen 3 – Ben Explains the Omnitrix
The common room is quiet.
Midoriya sits across from Ben, notebook closed for once, just listening.
"So…" Deku says carefully, "that alien… Azmuth. Why did he even make the Omnitrix?"
Ben leans back, eyes drifting to his wrist.
"Because he messed up. Badly."
Deku blinks.
"Azmuth is the smartest Galvan in the galaxy," Ben continues. "Early on, he built weapons. Real ones. Stuff meant for war."
He pauses.
"One of those inventions helped Vilgax become a galaxy-level tyrant."
Deku's breath catches. "Y-You mean… entire worlds…?"
"Yeah," Ben says quietly. "Destroyed. Ruined. All because Azmuth chose power over responsibility. That guilt broke him."
Ben looks at Deku.
"So he flipped his whole philosophy."
---
What the Omnitrix Really Is
"Despite how it looks," Ben says, tapping the Omnitrix,
"this was never meant to be a weapon."
Deku frowns. "But it gives you so much power."
"That's the point," Ben replies.
He counts on his fingers.
"The Omnitrix was made to:
Preserve the DNA of intelligent species
Let anyone experience life as another species
End racism, fear, and war through empathy"
Deku's eyes widen. "E-Empathy…?"
Azmuth believed wars happen because people fear what they don't understand," Ben says.
"So his solution was insane.
Let someone become the other side."
Silence fills the room.
"That's the Omnitrix," Ben finishes.
---
Why the Aliens Are So Strong
Deku leans forward. "Then why are your forms so… extreme?"
"Because they're not random," Ben answers.
"Each transformation is a genetic prime. The best possible version of that species."
He smiles slightly.
"That's why Four Arms is absurdly strong.
Why XLR8 is pure speed.
Why Diamondhead is flawless."
"It's not power creep," Ben says. "It's design."
Deku grips his notebook unconsciously.
"…That's a lot like One For All," he murmurs.
---
Why Ben Got It
Ben exhales.
"Here's the funny part. Azmuth never meant for me to have it."
"The Omnitrix was being sent to my grandpa, Max. Vilgax attacked. The pod crashed on Earth."
Ben shrugs.
"I found it first."
Deku stares. "By… accident?"
"Oh, Azmuth was furious," Ben says.
"A kid with galaxy-altering tech? Sounded like a disaster."
Ben's expression softens.
"But I used it to help people. I messed up a lot, but I never tried to rule. Never tried to conquer."
He looks straight at Deku.
"That's when Azmuth realized something."
---
The Real Proof
"He built a device for peace," Ben says quietly.
"I became the proof it could work."
The room stays silent.
Deku's hands tremble slightly.
"…That's amazing," he whispers.
He looks up, eyes shining.
"You didn't inherit power because you were chosen.
You proved you deserved it by how you used it."
Ben smirks. "Coming from the guy who broke fate itself, I'll take that."
Deku smiles, then grows serious.
"Ben… that means your watch isn't just power."
He clenches his fist.
"It's responsibility. Just like One For All."
Ben nods.
"Yeah. That's why Azmuth trusts me."
Outside, the night is calm.
Two boys sit together —
both carrying legacies far bigger than themselves.
Screen 4 – Finally Licensed
The classroom door slides open.
Bakugo and Todoroki step inside, holding their newly issued Provisional Hero Licenses.
Aizawa speaks flatly.
"You passed. Don't make me regret it."
Bakugo clicks his tongue. "Obviously."
Todoroki gives a quiet nod.
The class relaxes. Some clap. Some sigh in relief.
Ben looks up from his seat, glances at the licenses… then smirks.
"So," Ben says casually, "the remedial vacation finally paid off?"
Bakugo snaps instantly.
"Say that again, alien freak."
Ben stands, stretching.
"Relax. I'm proud of you."
He tilts his head.
"Well… proud now. Took you guys long enough to catch up."
Todoroki exhales. "You don't have to rub it in."
Ben grins.
"Oh, I absolutely do."
He points at Bakugo.
"You failed because you couldn't stop yelling at civilians."
Then at Todoroki.
"You failed because you couldn't talk to one guy without freezing the weather."
Bakugo growls. "You—"
Ben cuts in, smiling.
"And yet here you are. Licensed.
Which means you finally learned the part where being strong isn't the same as being right."
The room goes quiet.
Todoroki pauses… then nods slightly.
"…Fair."
Bakugo clenches his fist, then scoffs.
"Tch. Don't get comfortable. I'll pass you next."
Ben taps the Omnitrix lightly.
"Good. Heroes should chase each other forward."
He sits back down.
"Welcome back to the race."
For once, Bakugo doesn't fire back.
And Todoroki almost smiles.
