Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Re-entering society

In the dark room she sat, thinking, 'Why have this happened... It's all my fault... I could've saved her...' With every thought echoing through her mind, it sounded louder and louder, it was unbearable.

A thought ran through her mind. One of suicide, yet IT stopped her, drowned that thought with happy chemicals, draining her freedom from inside of her mind. She wasn't in control, yet she never knew.

Next, was getting a job, a stable income, at least enough for her needs. Though seeing "Chronically insane" on a resume was quite... Interesting. But as luck would have it, she got the job, even if the place was... Questionable at best.

She arrived at the place, a building so luxurious—yet abandoned, there wasn't even a receptionist, though the pay was high, she couldn't decline it. What's the worse thing that could happen anyways...

She glanced at the elevator, broken. Climbing 5 floors sounds easy, but for her frail structure, climbing it was a pain. After the endless flight of stairs she was greeted with a smile—no, she only saw a grin, a quite devious one...

"Well, how about telling me your name?" Michael asked softly, "M-my name? Call me..." Her head thought of names in an instant, trying not to reveal her real name to this stranger. "...Anne"

"Why the sudden pause?" He chucked slightly, trying to strike conversation, smiling softly, yet that made her heart pound, her instincts went wild, all that it saw was laughter dripping with malice, followed by a predatory smirk, ready to devour her whole.

Her body tensed up, she was ready to counter-attack, then... "Woah I was just trying to get to know you more, why so tense? Well, maybe it's the first time we met so you're uncomfortable, I'm sincerely sorry then."

'Oh it's probably nothing much—FALSE, those lies shall never pass by me..."

The pain once again emerged, this time even stronger, she couldn't bear it, she screeched with all her might before blacking out...
