Chapter Seventy: Darren Is Strong?!!

"You mean to say scarhead—and what about yourself?"

Malfoy landed with a huff, glaring at Darren.

The guy had just flown into the sky on a broomstick, and he'd been yelling at the bottom for him to come down the whole time!

And now he had the nerve to call others reckless?

Ridiculous!

Clearly, the one who should've stood out today was him, Draco Malfoy—yet once again, the spotlight ended up on someone named Potter.

Fortunately, Darren carried the Malfoy bloodline (at least, so he told himself), otherwise Draco might've been even more furious.

Malfoy gritted his teeth irritably.

Harry, overhearing, turned sharply.

"What does Darren have to do with you? I didn't hear him say anything to you!"

Harry's voice rose in anger.

He yanked out his wand, ready to teach Malfoy a lesson.

Malfoy didn't back down.

He raised his own wand immediately, and within seconds, both were pointing directly at each other.

> [Ding! The system has detected a Holy Father scene. Temporary Mission triggered: Rush to the center of Harry and Malfoy's quarrel, block both of their spells, and say: "Don't fight! Malfoy, why are you provoking my brother? You've got a problem with me, not him!"]

[Reward: "Well-Known Card" – One of the host's secret good deeds will spread throughout the wizarding world in an unexpected way.]

[Accept mission?]

A Well-Known Card?

It reminded Darren of the time he secretly donated to Neville's parents.

Was the system planning to make that story go viral?

[Accept!]

After all, who didn't want the world to know about their good deeds?

He wanted to be a good person—a modest good person whose heroic acts were "accidentally" discovered!

Not that he wanted fame or anything, of course.

Cough.

Anyway, focus!

Darren drew a deep breath and dashed straight between the two.

The students from both houses had already formed a wide semicircle—Gryffindors on one side, Slytherins on the other—watching the brewing duel like it was a Quidditch final.

"Tarantallegra!"

"Serpensortia!"

Both Harry and Malfoy shouted at once.

Darren's wand whipped down between them.

"Finite Incantatem!"

The spells vanished midair with a crackle of sparks.

"Well, don't fight!" Darren scolded, glaring at Malfoy. "Why are you provoking my brother? If you've got a problem with me, then come at me! Why do you always pick on my brother?"

He flicked his wand again, the tip sparking—just enough force to push Malfoy back a few steps.

Gasps rippled through the watching crowd.

Especially among the Gryffindors.

They had always thought of Darren as weak—bullied by Slytherin, always quiet, often hiding with Harry in Gryffindor Tower for safety.

They'd pitied him.

Who knew he could stand his ground against Malfoy without flinching?

"Hiss—Darren's strong?"

Ron's mouth hung open.

He'd only ever seen Darren as gentle, forgiving, always helping others—never imagined he had this kind of power.

"Hmph! What would you Gryffindor dimwits know?" Malfoy scoffed, quickly recovering.

His irritation over being disarmed melted away, replaced by smugness.

After all, Darren was his younger brother—well, sort of!

"Che! Look at Malfoy acting like that—anyone would think Darren was his brother," Ron muttered sarcastically.

Malfoy nearly exploded on the spot.

He almost wanted to drag his father over to prove that Darren was his brother.

But remembering Lucius's warning, he held it in.

He was a big boy now—he could keep a family secret!

"Ahem."

Malfoy marched proudly back to the Slytherin group, clutching a small vial in his hand.

It held a drop of blood—the one he'd secretly taken from Harry Potter.

Now he could finally prove it.

There was no way that scarhead was related to him.

He had only one brother—and that was Darren!

---

"Potter, you come with me… No—no, not you, Darren, I mean Harry!"

Professor McGonagall's sharp voice cut through the crowd.

Everyone fell silent.

She strode over briskly, face stern, and called Harry aside.

Darren instinctively tried to follow, but McGonagall stopped him.

He could only watch anxiously as Harry disappeared with her.

"Haha! Scarhead's definitely getting expelled," Malfoy snickered gleefully. "Professor McGonagall's the strictest one at Hogwarts!"

Darren frowned, shaking his head in quiet disapproval.

"If Harry's expelled, then you and I both should be, too," he said seriously. "It was you who provoked him first, Malfoy—and you were the one who rode your broom up and threw Neville's crystal ball down!"

> [Ding! Holy Father Value +30]

[Ding! Holy Father Value +20]

[Ding! Holy Father Value +50]

A steady stream of system notifications chimed in Darren's mind, and he felt a wave of satisfaction.

Of course, he knew Harry wouldn't actually be expelled.

Professor McGonagall was likely recruiting him—for Quidditch.

He just wondered whether Snape would allow it.

Then again… Snape's hatred of the Potter family ran deep.

Harry Potter was beyond his control—but Darren Potter?

If Snape could block his chances at joining the team, he absolutely would.

Darren sighed quietly.

Ron jumped slightly, startled by the sound.

Beside him, Hermione crossed her arms with a huff.

"I told you two to ignore Malfoy," she scolded. "But no—you and Harry always have to show off! And now, look—Darren's stuck worrying about you both!"

"Enough already! Who asked you?" Ron snapped. "Mind your own business, Miss Granger!"

He stormed off toward the castle, red-faced.

Only Darren remained, looking contrite.

"I'm sorry, Hermione," he said sincerely. "Ron and Harry were out of line for taking it out on you. It wasn't fair. I'm sorry."

> [Ding! Holy Father Value +80]

Hermione's angry expression softened a little.

Darren really was too kind.

Even when he wasn't at fault, he apologized for others.

What kind of person did that?

Only Darren Potter.
