Chapter 111 – Unicorn Cub Title!!
"Oh, Darren, you don't have to— no, no, I don't mean you can't handle Malfoy. You're just… too honest. If he plays dirty, you won't stand a chance. Stick with me!"
Hagrid shook his head firmly, rejecting Darren's offer.
He wasn't about to put Darren within range of Malfoy's dramatics. They'd end up worrying about Darren the whole time.
"Yes, Darren, don't go. I can handle him," Harry said confidently. "Let him kick and scream— he won't hurt me."
Darren showed a deeply worried expression, watching his brother leave.

[Ding, Father +80]
[Ding, Father +5]
Five Holy Father notifications.
Which meant—besides Darren—five people were reacting emotionally to that moment.
Subtract Hagrid, Neville, and Hermione, and the remaining two were the unseen observers.
As always.
"Alright, lad. Harry'll be fine. Come on, let's keep movin'," Hagrid encouraged.
The two hidden presences disappeared soon after.
They really were Dumbledore and Voldemort— silently watching, unseen by each other and unaware of the other's gaze.
They had probably both gone to follow Harry now.
With all the real danger off with his brother, Darren could move forward in peace.
Until Malfoy's shriek tore through the forest.
"Brother!"
Darren bolted toward the sound without hesitation.

[Ding…]
Hagrid and the others sprinted after him.
But Darren suddenly halted— a hooded figure stepped out in front of him.
His heart jumped.
…Voldemort? Here? Already?
Had he been chased out by centaurs after Harry spotted him?
Did he want to talk?
But before Darren could think, the hooded figure shoved him aside and strode toward Hagrid.
Hagrid raised his crossbow, but the figure flicked his wand— the bow shattered into splinters.
He seemed ready to cast again… but then as if hearing something, he vanished instantly— gone like smoke.
"Hagrid! Are you okay? You're not hurt?"
[Ding, Father +100]
Darren ran to support Hagrid, genuinely worried.
Not that he could physically carry Hagrid— even with magic, he'd need a forklift.
"I'm fine, Darren— thank Merlin you're alright!" Hagrid said, lifting Darren into a crushing hug.
"That's right, brother!"
Darren rushed ahead again— and then froze.
A unicorn lay before them.
A creature of pure white, its silver mane pooled on the ground, legs outstretched. Its side rose shallowly, blood glimmering beneath it. One eye half-open, barely conscious.
"We won't be able to save 'er…" Hagrid whispered, devastated.
[Ding — temporary mission triggered:
Approach the unicorn. Use Mind-Healing.
Heal its wounds and faint afterward.
(Remember: real spiritual healers collapse after treatment. Do NOT act strong.)
Reward: Forbidden Forest Blind Box.
Accept?]
[Accept.]
Darren moved quickly, kneeling beside the unicorn. He pressed a hand gently to its wound.
System, use Mind-Healing.
[Ding — wound identified.
Complete healing requires 30,000 Father Points.
Proceed?]
Darren nearly yanked his hand away.
THIRTY THOUSAND?
Did the system think he was made of Holy Father Points?
Try partial healing, he thought desperately. As much as I can afford. I don't need to fix all of it… right?
[Ding — beginning partial healing.]
He felt the Holy Father Points drain from him like water through a sieve.
He almost sobbed out loud.
My babies… my points… my hard-earned points…
Only when he was down to five hundred points left did he force the system to stop.
The unicorn's breathing steadied. It wasn't perfect— but it could stand again. And the rest… well, unicorns were magical. They'd manage.
Darren staggered to his feet.
"Darren! Are you alright?" Hagrid cried, rushing to him. He stared, stunned. Darren had just done something Hagrid had never seen any wizard do.
"Hagrid… I'm… I'm so sleepy…" Darren murmured.
He swayed dramatically—
and collapsed.
Not into Hermione's arms, as he expected—
but into something soft and warm.
The unicorn's mane.
[Ding — Forbidden Forest Blind Box obtained. Open?]
[Open.]
[Ding — Congratulations! You have received the title: Unicorn Cub.]
Unicorn Cub:
While this title is active, unicorns will instinctively recognize you as a young unicorn of their herd.
Darren stared blankly at the notification.
So he was… what, a unicorn toddler now?
He didn't even want to know what that implied.
But everyone else saw only one thing: Darren had healed a unicorn until he fainted.
The unicorn—alive and grateful—lifted him gently onto its back.
"Hagrid," the unicorn—Alico—spoke softly, "where shall I bring this child?"
"Alico… you're alive!" Hagrid breathed. "Bring Darren to the hospital wing. And you go too— Madam Pomfrey'll check you over!"
"I feel well enough," Alico replied, "but I shall go with him. See you soon."
With a leap, she bounded into the trees, carrying Darren. Her silver-white form shimmered through the darkness like a comet.
"Hagrid— let's go! I'm going to check on Darren!" Hermione said anxiously. "This whole confinement has been awful! What was Dumbledore thinking, sending us into the Forbidden Forest at night? Does he think this is… recreation?!"
She stomped forward, furious.
She didn't even realize she'd forgotten something important:
Harry was still missing.
And Darren lay unconscious in the hospital wing.
This confinement was going to haunt the whole school.
