Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 – Spitting on My Kindness!

[Vinsmoke Judge — Power Level: Star Glory. Defeating him yields 1,000 Points!]

Normally, defeating a Star Glory-level opponent would net Malverick 2,000 points, but since he'd already beaten Judge once before, the reward was automatically halved.

To be honest, Judge wasn't all that strong by himself—but he was a scientist.

And in this world, that made all the difference.

Germa 66's Raid Suits could amplify a user's power several times over.

Without it, Judge would barely qualify as a Diamond-tier fighter.

Still, his scientific genius was exactly what Malverick valued most.

The power of science was immense—and Malverick believed in that completely.

In the world of pirates, no one stood higher on the scientific ladder than Vegapunk, a man said to be five hundred years ahead of his time.

Years ago, Vegapunk led a research team known as MADS.

Its members included four other brilliant but dangerous minds—Judge, Queen, Caesar, and Bakkin.

Vegapunk was off-limits for now; Malverick wasn't strong enough to touch him.

Caesar and Bakkin had vanished, and Queen was under Kaido.

That left only Judge as a reachable target.

Malverick hovered above the massive moving fortress for a while, waiting for its ruler to appear.

When there was still no response, he narrowed his eyes and called out again:

"What's wrong? Do I have to come in and drag you out myself?"

BOOM!

As his voice echoed, a surge of overwhelming pressure burst from within his body—

a storm of willpower that crashed over the entire floating kingdom like a tidal wave.

Every clone soldier below instantly dropped to the ground, trembling.

Even the giant snails carrying the fortress began to weaken and slow.

Conqueror's Haki.

Malverick's Haki had long since awakened—and under Rayleigh's brutal tutelage, it had grown to terrifying levels.

Sure enough, the moment that immense aura flooded the air, a voice finally shouted back:

"Enough!"

A missile launched from the fortress, streaking straight toward Malverick.

It exploded only a few meters away—but the young man merely raised his right hand.

A swirling black vortex appeared in his palm, swallowing the blast and the shockwave whole until nothing remained.

When the smoke cleared, a figure emerged from the fortress—Judge, clad in a gleaming new Raid Suit.

"So you finally decided to show yourself," Malverick said, smiling faintly.

A year had passed, and Judge still looked the same—except for the upgraded armor.

Clearly, losing to Malverick last time had pushed him to pour everything into improving his technology.

"Hmph!"

Judge snorted and lunged forward, thrusting his spear straight at Malverick's chest.

But Malverick caught the weapon easily—with one hand.

No matter how hard Judge struggled, he couldn't move an inch.

"Alright," Malverick said calmly, "let's be honest—you're not suited for battle. Stick to your lab work."

He released the spear and looked down at the group gathered below.

Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, Yonji, and a hundred clone soldiers stared up at him.

"What, aren't you going to invite me inside for a talk?"

Judge's face darkened.

"You're not welcome here. If you have no business, then leave."

His tone was icy.

He knew what Malverick wanted—to recruit him—but in his eyes, the young man's current "crew" was far too small to be taken seriously.

"Leave?" Malverick chuckled. "Do you really think I'd come all this way just to leave?"

He lifted his right hand, eyes glinting.

"Judge, it's been over a year. I'll ask again—

will Germa 66 join me?"

His voice wasn't loud, but everyone below heard it clearly.

Judge's three sons glared daggers at him, while Reiju—clad in pink—hesitated, her eyes flickering thoughtfully.

Unlike her brothers, Reiju and Sanji still retained their emotions.

The others were nothing but weapons—obedient, fearless, and heartless.

That humanity made Reiju the most reasonable of them all.

"Hmph! Join you? What could I possibly gain from that?" Judge sneered.

Yes, Malverick was strong—but he wasn't yet at the top of the world.

And as far as Judge knew, he was just one man.

So what if he was the son of the Dark King Rayleigh?

The Roger Pirates were long gone, and Rayleigh himself was old. There was no future there.

"I see," Malverick said mildly. "Then maybe I should clarify—

I'm not alone."

He waved his hand, and the Dark Space opened beside him.

From within stepped out Alice, Susanoo, and Xiaobi.

"Now, I have four subordinates," Malverick said with a smirk. "And one more is out on assignment."

"Not to mention," he added, "the Sun Pirates have already agreed to cooperate with me. If Fisher Tiger survives, he'll sail by my side."

"So," he said, voice turning sharp, "will you reconsider?"

Judge only laughed coldly.

"You expect me to believe that? You'll have to do better than words."

"I will never join you!"

BOOM!

Before he could blink, Judge was sent flying backward by an invisible blast of killing intent.

When he steadied himself, Malverick was already in front of him, expression dark.

"Judge," he said quietly, "do you take me for someone patient?"

"I have a rule," Malverick continued, eyes narrowing. "When I meet someone I value, I start with respect."

"But—"

He raised his right hand, and the black dragon-ring on his finger shimmered ominously.

A tremor rippled through the sea below.

The colossal snails shuddered violently as towering water dragons rose from the waves—

each one dozens of meters high, coiling and roaring, their eyes fixed on the fortress.

Black Marlin — Liquid Dominion.

The ring allowed him to command any and all liquids—including seawater.

If he willed it, the entire kingdom below would be crushed beneath a storm of raging dragons.

"When someone spits on my goodwill," Malverick said coldly, "I remind them just how terrifying I can be."

"If I can't have it," his voice dropped to a whisper, "then I'll destroy it."

The water dragons roared, their combined voices shaking the air.

"Judge!" Malverick shouted, eyes burning.

"This is your last chance—submit to me, or die where you stand!"

Judge wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and glared defiantly back at him.

His eyes were full of resistance.

"So that's your answer," Malverick said flatly. "Then remember this moment, Judge."

He clenched his fist—

And the water dragons descended.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

In an instant, the proud fortress of Germa 66 was reduced to rubble.

Hundreds of clone soldiers were obliterated by the torrent.

Malverick seized Judge by the throat, ready to end it once and for all—

"Stop! Please, spare my father!"

A pink flash darted forward—Reiju.

"Germa 66 will swear allegiance to you!" she cried desperately.

Judge struggled, furious, but Malverick's grip didn't loosen an inch.

The air between them burned with power—and submission hung in the balance.
