New official building
The governor was in his office alone sitting at his desk while looking out of the window in deep thoughts.
"I wonder what information that monster got out of Luna" he muttered to himself
Ring!
That was his phone, he checked the caller ID and quickly picked the call
"Hello, commissioner?" He coughed and cleared his throat
"Martins you need to get down to Aba quicky" the commissioner said calmly even though his voice seemed anxious
"Why? What's wrong?" Martin asked folding with his tie
"They did it again... please just get here...."
The commissioner's voice was suddenly interrupted by gunshots. The phone line went dead and the governor just held the phone looking shocked
"Hello.... commissioner!"

"Amir!"
Amir who was having his lunch break choked on his burger 🍔 as the governor came thundering on the hallway, yelling his name. He quickly left the burger and ran towards the raging governor
"Sir"
"Get my car ready, we're heading to Aba right now. Be quick" he yelled
Amir nodded and headed for the door
"Hello General, please get your men ready. The purple Lagoon has struck again" the governor said into his phone
A few minutes later, the governor was finally in his car with Amir and Ola as they headed for the governor's helicopter wing. When they finally arrived, the governor entered his helicopter with Amir who was also a trained pilot, Ola had to stay back.

Aba
8pm
Military base
The Aba, Ngwa district military district was in ruins when the governor finally arrived. Some of the soldiers were shot and killed from the intense gun fight with Cobra and his men, blood and bullets were everywhere. The military general had a deep injury to his head, immediately he saw the governor come down from his helicopter, he ran towards him angrily
"What happened here?" The governor scanned the base in horror
"You brought your war here! Leave Abia state out of this purple whatever" the general yelled
The governor ignored him "where's the comissioner and Kwame?"
"They were both taken to the hospital" the general hissed
"And the prisoner?" He eyed the general anxiously
"What do you think?! Of course they took him. We couldn't stop them and I lost alot of men!" The general was fuming with anger
"Look I'm sorry about this. But Please don't inform the president about this, remember we have a strong tie with the Abia state governor..." martin said threateningly
"The president already knows about this, he was the first person we called when those terrorists attacked" the general said interrupting him
The governor knew he was now in trouble. If the president finds out he was hiding a potential suspect from him, he might get suspicious and order for a federal investigation which will expose the oracle. If only the president was on their side, too bad he wasn't as corrupt as the last president.
"He knows?"
"Yes. Now please get out of my base and my city" the general glared at him
The governor just glared back at him and stormed back to his helicopter
"Those idiots keeping getting ahead of me and I just hate it!" He shouted
Amir just kept quiet and got ready for their flight back to Lagos. The governor got out his phone and quickly dialled the president's number
"Martins!" The president yelled
"Sir i can explain...."
"You hid potential suspects from the federal government..."
"Sir this is a state crisis, i was just doing my duty..."
"Shut the hell up! This isn't a state crisis anymore and you need to inform me about everything. Infact you know what...come over to Aso rock and expect to be impeached soon" with that the president cut the call
"Wait...hello? Sir?" Beads of sweat formed on the governor's body and soaked his clothes
As if that wasn't enough, a text from an unknown contact dinged on his phone
"Get ready to lose everything, the purple eyes watches you"
He frowned and with rage threw the phone to the ground. Amir flinched as he watched his boss
"Amir" the governor grouted with a dark voice
"Take me to Aso rock, once you get there you leave and go back to Lagos to inform the oracle about the new case" he said
"Alright sir"
