"Haaaa…"
I let out a big sigh as I watch the scene before my eyes with disbelief.
'How did it turn out like this? It hasn't even been a full week.'
Julie and the parrot, no… Samantha was playing with the water as if they were on a vacation.
If that is not enough, then…
I landed my sight over a beautiful woman with fiery red hair and purple skin, wearing a bikini that showed a lot of her skin, splashing water over a little girl.
Peeking at her heart for a quick second, I quickly turn my head.
'Damn! They are barely holding that thing up.'
I was just flabbergasted by the sight.
How did she even manage to expose her cover that quickly?
I was just amazed at how bad she is at hiding herself, but even leaving that fact aside, how did she bond with Julie as if they were best of friends?
"Haaa…"
I let out another sigh. These days I really was sighing a lot.
Quickly stealing another glance at Samantha's breas… heart, I was again amazed at how that thin fabric of clothes was barely holding up.
Seeing me peek at her, Samantha smiled at me while coming over to me.
Shit! Did she see me peek at her brea… I mean, heart?
Tak~
My eyes darted around to find an excuse.
Tak~
Every step she took made me more nervous.
Tak~
With another step, the distance was reduced further. My mind went full throttle to find something.
Anything.
A shadow was cast over me.
'It is over, Liam.'
I closed my eyes, gulping, then slowly lifted my head to meet a pair of yellow reptilian eyes staring at me with a serious face.
"I—" I was just about to open my mouth to apologise when she cut me off, and my expression fell.
But her words were different from what I thought they would be.
"This is the last day we will be enjoying; tomorrow…" She paused for a moment, her expression changing imperceptibly to one of sorrow. "We will be reaching Liora, the city of mutants."
'Liora'
"I see." Nodded my head with a straight look while sighing in relief that I wasn't caught peeking.
"You will keep your promise then." She turned around as her demeanour again shifted to one of cheerfulness.
But she turned one last time and glanced at me for a second before a playful smile bloomed on her face.
"Don't think I didn't notice you peeking at my breasts."
I watched as her figure became smaller with a blank face while chaos was going on inside my mind.
'How?'
Fuck! I knew I shouldn't have peeked too much.
Dammit!
I cursed internally as I remembered Samantha's words.
"Liora…Liora…"
I mumbled the name to myself as it sounded a bit familiar. I tried to remember it, but nothing came to mind, so I gave up, shrugging my shoulders.
"I would have probably remembered it if it were important."
Shifting my back to Samantha's big boo… heart. I watched as they played while I basked in the sun.
"I will deal with Liora when the time comes."

Meanwhile, in the throne hall of the Liora.
"Your honour, we have found the traitor, and it seems she will be coming this way."
A ragged man with scars all over his body, with purple skin, reported to his king while kneeling.
The king was an old man with purple skin and red hair. He sat on his throne as if bored, not even listening to his subjects' report properly. His eyes were hollow, blank like a sheet of paper.
"I see."
"You may go now."
He merely nodded to the man's report before dismissing him with a gesture of his hand.
"I may take my leave, your honour."
The ragged man stood up and silently went for the huge gate.
Tak, Tak.
His footstep resounded across the room.
Reaching the door, he gave one last glance at his king before pushing the door and exiting the hall.
In the big throne hall, the king sat with his eyes still hollow like a blank sheet. The room was silent but then…
The silence was broken as the king's eyes dilated and shook, his body trembling as if he was regaining something, but before he could, a man with a long nose and similarly purple skin and flowing blond hair emerged from the back of the throne.
"Now then, we can't have you regain yourself, can we?"
The man's voice was soft like a lullaby, yet it reverberated through the enormous throne hall.
The man caressed the king's wrinkled face with his soft hand that was devoid of any blemish. He slowly lifted the king's chin with his hand and eyed the king.
The king's once trembling body stopped just by the sound of the man's bewitching and soft voice that trickled into the ear. The king's shaky eyes returned to the blank sheet they once were.
Seeing the king's condition returning to normal, the man released his hand, and a small smile formed at his lips.
He parted his mouth open and said, "The mouse will come back to the cat with its own free will." while the smile on his face was still present.
"How amusing." Turning around, he strode to the back of the throne, blending with the shadows that were cast.
"I wonder how it will play out."
Before he could be devoured by the shadows, his seductive voice echoed in the enormous hall.
***
A woman screamed as she burned.
"Ahhh!"
"No, Mother!"
And a small girl cried as she watched the room burn.
"Mother!"
"AHHHhhh!"
The screaming continued while the little girl tried to extend her tiny hands. She wanted to move but couldn't…
As if the girl was chained by invisible shackles anchoring her.
"Mother!"
The screaming stopped, but the foolish little girl still called out for her.
"Mother!"
The foolish girl watched as the flames turned into ashes, and the chains that bound her vanished.
"Mother!"
The foolish little girl ran and slumped down near the scorched body of her mother. Her tears flowed like a stream of water, wetting the hot stone beneath her.
People started to rush in.
'Why did they come now?'
The small girl lifted her head; her eyes were reddened with all the crying, and her vision was blurry. She watched as people came in after everything was done, and her… mother had died.
The little girl felt anger, sadness, and…
She watched as her father looked at the scene with disinterest, as if an ant had died, not caring who lived or died.
...Betrayal.
And she knew who was the cause of it all as the little girl's gaze shifted to the man behind her father. A man with a long nose, purple skin, and a creeping smile etched over his face.
Suddenly, the world turned black, and only the man with a creepy smile and the girl remained.
The man parted his mouth to say something, but…
"Huff… huff…"
"That was a horrible dream."
Samantha held her head as it throbbed from the nightmare she had suffered. Closing her eyes, she took deep breaths to steady herself.
"Hooof… Is it morning already?"
Her sight wandered the surroundings for a good minute before landing on a small boy who was sound asleep.
The boy was a mystery to her. She had seen his power secretly as he killed all the dangerous monsters that neared him and a small girl without even glancing at them.
His strength was unlike anything she had seen before, defying all logic, which is why she…
"I will take the chance to kill that demon." She quietly mumbled to herself as she watched the sun rise.
