Chapter 48 - Chapter 48 Belgium KF5 Championship

Chapter 48 Belgium KF5 Championship

After carefully examining Wu Shi, Martina frowned and said, "I think it would be better for your future if you were promoted to the normal group."

"Yes, that's usually the case, but I find racing in lower-level categories too boring. As long as there's no car malfunction, I can win the championship, which makes me feel like it's a very easy sport," Wu Shi said.

He wasn't one to boast, but considering Pan Zi's terrifyingly rapid promotion later on, he didn't want to fall behind.

He believed that even without absolute car sense, he was no worse than Pan Zi; it was just that having absolute car sense gave him the ability to surpass "humans".

He can't wait to bring his talent to F1.

"Well, although your aunt works in Rafa, you are really too young." Martina shook her head.

Wu Shi was not disappointed when he heard this; on the contrary, his eyes lit up.

Aunt Martina couldn't help him skip a grade, not because she didn't have the connections, but because Wu Shi was too young!

This means that when he gets older, it's entirely possible for him to skip a grade.

And so, spring 2009 arrived.

When the flowers were in full bloom, Wu Shi received a letter from China. He was quite surprised to see that the sender was Ye Zhaohui's father, that refined uncle.

"Young Wu Shi, I have heard about your outstanding achievements back in China. Zhao Hui and Ning Ning also often mention your brilliant results. In particular, Zhao Hui also wants to go to Europe for further studies."

"But due to some family reasons, I can't let him leave the country, which is naturally a great pity. He said he learned a lot from you, and I think so, because I also see things worth learning from you."

"I am sending this letter firstly to thank you for the wonderful race you brought us at the Zhuhai Station; secondly, because I have heard that pursuing a racing dream in Europe is not easy. I cannot help you with anything else, but I can offer some small sponsorship."

"Finally, I hope you can achieve even greater success. Shenzhen is where you started and will always be your support."

After reading the letter, Wu Shi keenly noticed the words "Pengcheng" and realized something. He decisively crossed the wall to return to China and searched for Ye Zhongming.

He had searched for this refined uncle when he was in China, and there was no entry for "Ye Zhongming" back then, but now it appeared at the top of the search results. His resume and experience are so rich that it's hard to imagine why he couldn't be found before.

His recent appointment is related to Shenzhen.

'Wow, what level is this?'

Wu Shi was unaware of the situation, so he told his father.

Wu Zhenlin was very surprised, but that was all. He simply told Wu Shi that he needed to write a letter to express his gratitude later.

However, two days later, Wu Zhenlin called and said, "I received a domestic sponsorship contract worth 500,000 yuan per year."

"Huh?" Wu Shi exclaimed in surprise.

"I agree to Pengcheng Airlines' request. When the time comes, reserve the most prominent spot on your go-kart for the red Pengniao. I will communicate with Sid." Wu Zhenlin said.

He was aware that Sid had become Wu Shi's agent, but he couldn't just do whatever he wanted with the arrangement of the sponsor's logo.

"OK."

Wu Shi nodded. Five hundred thousand is neither a lot nor a little, but he is only ten years and a few months old.

In March, Wu Shi's new go-karts were completed, totaling two.

One is specifically designed for the 60MINI series races, and the other is specifically designed for the KF5 series races.

In the warehouse, besides these two go-karts, there is another go-kart, the one that Wu Shi won the championship in 2008.

"I'll keep this safe; it might be a great souvenir in the future," Seth said with a smile.

Wu Shi blinked but didn't speak. In his previous life, he was far less well-off than he is now. Once he reached the next level, he would simply break up his go-karts and sell them to recoup his funds.

After all, a go-kart is just a skeleton; the cheaper ones cost a few hundred or a few thousand euros, while the more expensive ones cost tens of thousands. And if you're going to use it for racing, you'll naturally buy the more expensive ones.

"Wu Shi, my advice to you is not to limit yourself to Italian tournaments. Since you want to get into higher-level tournaments faster, I suggest you play a few matches in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom," Sid said.

Seth nodded and said helplessly, "Although I would love for you to stay in the country and finish another season with the team's name, it is indeed quite important, as Sid said, to go to other countries to participate in races and increase your visibility."

"That's a good arrangement," Wu Shi nodded.

"Then let us continue to help you prepare the race car?" Seth asked.

"Of course, I'm with the CD SPEED team. If the team doesn't help me prepare the car, where am I supposed to prepare it?"

Wu Shi laughed and said that he didn't have an F1 driver father to help him, so he would have to trouble the team to prepare for the race.

"Great, I've made a plan for you: Belgium and France. We'll be visiting those two places this year," Sid said.

Are there any competitions over there?

"The KF5 Championship in Belgium, the Cadet Series in France," Sid said.

"Okay, I will follow your instructions." Wu Shi nodded.

So in April, Wu Shi, Xi De, and the others arrived at the Marienbourg circuit in Belgium.

"You have passed the inspection and can proceed with the next part of the competition." The staff marked out the repair area for the group.

"No wonder he comes from a big car fleet, I've never been here before," Seth exclaimed in amazement.

"That's why I wanted Wu Shi to join the Laya team. The Laya team can provide him with more development resources." Sid raised his eyebrows and called on the technicians to start preparing.

Although regional karting competitions are also based on FIA-CIK regulations, there are still differences between different regions.

So the vehicle prepared for Belgium was a brand new go-kart, still bearing the logos of the various sponsors.

"Hey, Wu Shi, what are you looking at?" Seth shouted.

"Oh, I've seen him before, he seems like a really powerful guy," Wu Shi said.

Upon hearing this, not only Seth, but everyone in the team followed his gaze and saw a small boy with a buzz cut standing there, with thick lips and obvious blush.

"How did you figure that out?" Sid asked.

"Intuition," Wu Shi said.

"It seems your intuition is quite accurate. I don't know the little guy, but I do know the one next to him," Sid said.

"What nonsense are you spouting! That's Joss Verstappen, the former F1 driver. Who here doesn't know him?" Seth was quite shocked to see a former F1 driver here.

"Is that his son?" a technician asked.

"I think so. Nobody can afford an F1 driver to take their kid karting, unless the kid is the F1 driver's own," Sid nodded.

"No wonder he seemed very strong," Wu Shi muttered to himself, surprised to meet Verstappen here.

If he accidentally beats him, he'll be under immense pressure and torment from Joss Verstappen.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but shudder.
