Chapter 27 - [27]: Rest assured, Sajuna

The two embraced for a while, and Akira noticed that Sajuna didn't seem to want to let go of him.

He could only helplessly say, "Sajuna, don't you want to eat now?"

"Hmph."

Sajuna tightened her arms, her cheek resting against his back, not moving.

"Could it be that Sajuna doesn't plan to eat food, but plans to eat me instead?"

"Eh!? What are you talking about!"

Sajuna immediately looked up, pushed Akira's back with both hands, and hugged herself, steam practically rising from her head.

"You, you, you, how could you say such a thing."

Akira's image as a mature and calm boyfriend cracked at that moment.

"This is also a way to express affection, just like Sajuna does," Akira gently smoothed his clothes. "Sajuna doesn't like it?"

"That's too sudden!" Sajuna complained.

"I can't believe those words came from Aki-Kun's mouth," Sajuna said, her face red. Akira had always been so thoughtful and gentle in front of her.

"Gomen ne, I'm sorry. In front of someone I like, I always can't help but say some heartwarming sweet nothings," Akira apologized. "I hope Sajuna can still forgive me."

"Then, then I'll forgive you."

Sajuna said with a tsundere expression.

She definitely didn't like these kinds of suggestive sweet nothings that made her blush.

Sajuna gently touched her face.

She seemed to have blushed so many times today. Even though they were boyfriend and girlfriend, she was still so shy.

Aki-Kun didn't seem to dislike it either.

Sajuna thought silently to herself.

Akira walked into the kitchen, put on an apron, and pulled out his phone to check the time. "Shinju should be back soon."

"Mm."

Sajuna sat on the sofa and turned on the TV, but her gaze didn't drift to the programs on the screen. Instead, she kept staring at Akira working in the kitchen.

Aki-Kun is really so gentle.

Ever since she met him, she had always been taken care of.

She couldn't let this continue. If things kept going like this, wouldn't she turn into a shut-in NEET?

NEETs are a very unpopular kind of person!

Just as she was thinking this, the sound of a key opening the door interrupted Sajuna's wild thoughts.

"Sister, I'm home."

Shinju's voice came from the doorway, full of discernible joy.

"Shinju, how was playing with your friends today?"

"It was a lot of fun!"

Shinju was all smiles. Just as she was about to act spoiled towards her sister as usual, she suddenly noticed the busy figure in the kitchen.

"Eh!? Akira-san."

"Shinju, good evening."

Akira turned his head to greet her, presenting a relaxed back to Shinju.

"Akira-san, good evening."

Although Shinju was a little puzzled, her sister didn't have many friends, so Akira's presence here seemed quite reasonable.

But didn't Akira-san just visit a few days ago!

Sister, it feels like even Kyoko-san isn't invited by you this frequently!

"Sister, why is Akira-san here?"

Sajuna's face turned crimson, and she turned her head away, her eyes blank.

Akira was cooking in the kitchen, so no one was there to help her out.

"Aki-Kun invited me to meet his friends, and then we came back."

"Eh, Sister calls Akira-san Aki-Kun now?"

Shinju noticed the change in address.

So their relationship was already this close.

Shinju was a little surprised in her heart.

"Uh, mm, Shinju!"

Sajuna gathered her courage and turned to look at Shinju.

"Hm?! Sister, what's wrong?"

Shinju said with a puzzled expression.

"Shinju, Aki-Kun and I are dating."

Sajuna adopted a posture as if she were awaiting judgment.

If Shinju was angry, she would let her punish her.

After all, she hadn't told Shinju yet.

Seeing Shinju still with a smiling face, Sajuna asked with a puzzled expression, "Shinju, aren't you angry?"

"Eh, why should I be angry?"

"Because I started dating a boy without Shinju's permission."

Sajuna looked guilty. If Shinju didn't like Aki-Kun, then there was nothing she could do.

She couldn't give up Aki-Kun, but Shinju would be angry.

"But, Akira-san is someone Sister likes," Shinju said with a smile. "As long as Sister is happy, that's all that matters."

"Eh? Don't you have thoughts of your sister being snatched away by a bad man?"

"How could I?! Of course, Sister will have a boyfriend! I never thought of monopolizing Sister for life, either."

"That's good."

Sajuna let out a soft sigh of relief.

"I was worried you wouldn't like Aki-Kun."

"Akira-san is very gentle," Shinju said with a hint of shame on her face. "He even specially comforted me that day."

"Eh? When was that? Why didn't Shinju tell me?"

"Sorry, it was the day Akira-san wanted to learn photography with me," Shinju said awkwardly.

After all, it was something she had selfish thoughts about, and Shinju still didn't want her sister to have any thoughts of disliking her.

But seeing her sister's curious expression, she could only explain what was said that day to Sajuna.

After Sajuna heard it, she gently hugged Shinju's graceful body and lightly patted Shinju's back.

"As long as Shinju is by Sister's side, I'm incredibly happy."

"Mm."

"It's great that Shinju doesn't dislike Aki-Kun."

Sajuna repositioned herself and looked at Akira in the kitchen.

"Aki-Kun is truly a gentle person."

"Mm."

Akira prepared the tonkatsu in the kitchen, then started the stove to make miso soup before slowly bringing the dishes out of the kitchen.

Shinju, waiting at the table, saw Akira bustling about and said a little awkwardly, "You're really going to a lot of trouble, Akira-san. Usually, Sister and I make it together."

"It's fine. It's because I want to make it for Sajuna."

Akira expressed that he didn't mind. Anyway, he could practice his cooking skills at the same time.

Moreover, seeing innocent, lively, beautiful, and energetic girls beam with happy smiles after eating his delicious food was truly delightful.

It was almost like reaching the pinnacle of life.

Akira thought of a strange analogy in his mind.

"Thank you, Aki-Kun."

Sajuna also thanked him, blushing. "I'll make bentos for Aki-Kun."

"Bentos!"

Akira lowered his head and pondered for a moment. "Do Sajuna and Shinju make their own bentos?"

"I, I help too!"

Shinju raised her hand.

"However, it's really too much for Sajuna to make three bentos by herself," Akira stroked his chin, not mentioning his intention to take over all of it, nor refusing Sajuna's request.

"How about we make bentos together from now on?"
