Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 Gwen, the Wayne couple who are good at disguising people as dead

Confirming that the boy at the table was stunned, the newcomer calmly patted off non-existent dust from her body, slowly turned around, and directed her gaze towards the "Wayne Couple" who had retreated to another corner at some point.

The corners of her mouth curved slightly upwards, revealing a gentle smile. Ordinarily, that smile might make people feel as if bathed in a spring breeze, but at this moment, in this classroom filled with tension and fear, it inexplicably sent shivers down one's spine.

"Hello," she began, her voice clear and pleasant, yet carrying a hint of elusive coldness. "I am Gwendolyn Wayne. It's our first meeting, and I appreciate your care for my sister."

When she said the word "care," she deliberately emphasized it, her gaze sweeping over the two people before her with a half-smile. "Are you... playing the role of my parents?"

Even though Gwen still wore that gentle smile, the two felt as if countless hairs stood on end, and a strong sense of unease surged from the depths of their hearts.

Gwen tilted her head slightly, a flicker of imperceptible coldness in her eyes.

"Your acting is a bit exaggerated, not quite fitting. How about... we let your parents play the roles?" Her tone remained soft, but to their ears, it sounded like the whisper of a demon. "After all, as the family of the deceased, I guarantee your parents will perform a one-to-one recreation."

Just then, a sharp female scream broke the brief silence: "Look at their heads!"

Everyone instinctively looked towards their heads, only to see a red dot appear on one of their heads at some unknown point.

The classroom instantly fell into a dead silence. Everyone held their breath, not daring to make a sound.

A sniper? Is it really necessary???

Fear spread like a tide through everyone's hearts, and Gwen seized this moment to make her move.

Her figure moved like lightning, and she suddenly kicked one of the people closer to her with full force, hitting their abdomen squarely.

With a muffled 'thud,' that person flew straight out like a kite with a broken string.

However, he was not particularly far from the wall, so he did not fly long before crashing heavily into it.

His body left a clear mark on the wall, and the white plaster was knocked off.

Slowly sliding down, the boy's face was filled with pain.

The other person had not yet reacted to this sudden change when Gwen's second kick landed.

Similarly, this kick was also aimed at the abdomen.

His body also fell backward uncontrollably, and his head hit the wall.

Both suffered heavy blows one after another, their eyes gradually losing focus. After their heads hit the wall, they both fainted and slumped against the wall.

Gwen stood still, patting her pants as if she had just done something trivial.

The surrounding classmates were all stunned by her, not knowing what to do for a while. The classroom was so quiet that only heavy breathing could be heard.

Gwen silently raised her hand, pressed the wireless earphone to her ear, and whispered, "It's done, Xiao Qian."

Only after receiving an affirmative sound from the other end of the earphone did she lower her hand.

Having dealt with all this, Gwen quickly went to Brucey's side.

She gently extended her arms and held Brucey tightly, her movements soft yet full of strength.

"It's alright, Brucey," she whispered into Brucey's ear, her voice as gentle as a spring breeze. "With me here, no one will ever hurt you again."

As Gwen spoke, she gently stroked Brucey's hair, trying to soothe her trembling body.

As a result, these three students would not be attending class today.

In the school infirmary, the three boys Gwen had taught a lesson to lay slumped on the hospital beds, with more or less scrapes and bruises on their bodies. The leading boy's hand had a blister and was bandaged by the Doctor.

Of course, that being said, Gwen hadn't been ruthless; the three boys' injuries were not severe.

Their eyes held both fear and unwillingness, and they muttered softly about how they would retaliate once their injuries healed. But then they thought of Gwen again and couldn't help but shiver, their voices slowly trailing off.

The next day, the parents of the three beaten boys rushed to the school. Their faces were full of anger as they went straight to the homeroom teacher's office.

The father of the leading boy, with a beer belly, loudly exclaimed as soon as he entered, "Teacher, what exactly is going on? How did my son get beaten like this!" The other two parents echoed him, their faces full of anxiety and anger.

The teacher pushed up his glasses, his expression calm, and slowly said, "Your three children were at fault first. They bullied Brucey in the classroom and even made fun of her parents' deaths. Their behavior was extremely malicious, so even if Miss Gwen hit him, it's not her fault."

"However..." The teacher paused here, his gaze sweeping over the faces of the three parents. "However, Miss Gwen is kind and benevolent, and she has offered compensation. You can find her at Wayne Manor."

Upon hearing the name Wayne, the parents of the three immediately changed their expressions.

"Wayne? Is it *that* Wayne?"

"Yes," the teacher pointed to the window behind him, where a tall building could vaguely be seen in the distance. "It's *that* Wayne."

Two of the families' faces instantly turned unpredictable upon hearing this.

They knew the Wayne Family's status in Gotham and that they couldn't afford to offend them.

After a moment of hesitation, they remained silent and sheepishly went back to find their children, intending to give them a good scolding and tell them not to cause trouble again.

The remaining father, however, stuck out his neck and actually went to inquire about the location of the Wayne Manor.

In his opinion, his child had suffered such a great injustice, and he had to demand an explanation, even if the other party was the Wayne Family.

Moreover... hehehe, since it was *that* Wayne, the compensation given would surely be very generous.

Perhaps he could even become financially secure directly because of his son's incident this time.

However, he wasn't quite sure where the Wayne Family lived.

After all, although the Wayne Family was well-known in Gotham, not everyone knew the exact location of the Wayne Manor.

The teacher raised an eyebrow and, without hesitation, directly told the father the location of the Wayne Family's residence.

After getting the address, the father snorted and turned to leave the office.

The teacher watched the father's departing back, smiled, picked up the phone on his desk, and dialed Gwen's number.

"Miss Wayne," the teacher's voice was respectful with a hint of flattery. "Lester's family asked for your home address and is preparing to go there."

"Okay, thank you, Teacher."

"You're welcome, Miss Wayne." Through the phone, he heard sounds as if someone was writing something on paper, and the teacher showed a sincere smile. "My pleasure."

"I'll give you the check I promised right away," Gwen's clear and gentle voice came through. "It's just that Brucey and I will have some things to attend to and won't be able to attend classes, so please trouble you to inform my subject teachers."

"Understood."
