The next morning, Drew woke feeling sore all over. He slowly opened his eyes while yawning, the last thing he remembered was waiting for Lucas's return. But at his environment, it seems the latter didn't make it home last night.....he literally slept alone!!. He was intoxicated by his own dose, his body couldn't stand it so it lured him to sleep.
'why wasn't he home last night....was he really avoiding me or what!!', Drew mumbled. Putting on his slippers , he left for his room and took a quick shower before heading downstairs.
"Morning dad!!" He greeted and pushed out a chair to seat. He scanned the whole place but no traces of Lucas could be seen.
" Morning Drew!!", his step dad responded while his father nodded in respond.
" How's Lucas?!, did you check on him before coming down, hope he didn't stress nor harm himself last night!"
" Wasn't he out already , I checked on him but he wasn't in his room so thought maybe he's already out here", Drew replied pretending not to know . Lucas dad, smirked unsurprisingly, he knew his son very well the " yes' he replied him last night wasn't genuine and his dad didn't believe his when he said it, because Lucas wasn't someone to stay home.
" He might have returned back to his lover....I pity the young man/woman spending his rut with him, I believe he wouldn't be any different from his father", Lucas dad said trying to tease his husband and successfully did. The man laughed out loudly, staring passionately at his husband. Drew are his breakfast and left the couple's to enjoy their moment.
Drew bite hard on his lower lips, he thought of the possibility that Lucas might have spent the night with an omega. " Who dares what belongs to me! Of all days why today!!", Drew growled loudly hitting his already balled fist hard on the glass table and it smashed into pieces. Drew waited every night for good two days but Lucas never returned. His whole mind was chaotic, wondering if Lucas was spending his rut with that omega, the thoughts alone angered him to death.
The next morning , Drew returned back to the city for business. His spy informed him that Lucas hasn't return since he left. Drew accepted the fact that he has already lost the chance to sleep with him this month, he only has to wait till his next RUT. The only valid thing in his list was hunting that omega down, returning to Jade's apartment was a big NO to him, as he was afraid of been devoured again by that Alpha, no matter how strong and scheming he was he would never beat the strength of an Alpha.
Lucas opened his eyes, stretching himself for his muscles were near to breaking, the boys little bed isn't to his taste neither was it big enough to contain them both, he just squeezed himself all through the night. He turned to the other side of the bed and stared at the boys sleeping face , his skin was so pale like a pour blooded vampire, his long eye lashes fluttered occasionally and Lucas smirked in amusement.
" You are already awake.....stop pretending!!" Lucas said calmly still staring at the boy. Jade slowly opened his eyes giving a clear view to Lucas who was staring passionately at him..... Lucas really accepted that jade was so breathtaking, his red full lips stared at him as if inviting him to have a taste. Lucas almost dived him but used every bit of composure left in him to control his lustful desires. He knew the boy has suffered beneath him these past days he could tell from the way he was literally crying last night instead of moaning so he didn't want to weigh him down again.
" So tell me, why did you run to this place!", Lucas asked as the matter of fact, that was actually the main reason why he followed him.... however he left it in seek of another thing.
" Eeeeeem....I....just came to visit my cousin!!", jade stuttered before adding his lies together. Lucas wasn't convinced, he knew that a single truth will never escape from this boys mouth, he really trusts his instincts. Lucas didn't try to force him as he has already planned to take it slowly with him, deep down he still wished that jade didn't have a hand in his murder attempt.
" So when will you be coming back?!" Lucas queried with a mocking face waiting for his next set of lies.
" Haven't thought about that yet, am just staying temporarily or perhaps it might lead to permanent stay if I successfully issued my transfer", jade replied immediately. Though Lucas wasn't satisfied with his answer but he still believed it was the best if he would stay here out from the sight of whoever that was hunting him.
" Can I have your X handle!", Lucas requested seriously. Jade looked at him in disbelief.
" Why!!"
" I just wanted to keep in touch!", Lucas replied, intimidating him with his stern face. Jade shrinked in fear, he brought out his phone and scanned it. Lucas saw the it and accepted him, he immediately opened his profile and smirked amusingly. The little man posted himself and his friends dancing together but his captions was what amuses Lucas the most...' sexiest diva!! Pure soul!!!!! Let's say together!'.that's what his caption read. Lucas accepted that the sexiest part was true .....but.....pure soul!!!!, Lucas laughed out....'he must be joking' Lucas blurted out, jade casted him a wicked look.
Lucas left finally to the city after been informed by Sia about the board meeting. He was relieved that jade was at least safe for the moment. He reported straight to his office that afternoon. Sia listed his schedule for him and he adjusted a little on them. The workers of ' MASS EMPIRE" thrive in and out of the company each stationed in his /her department doing their respective duties as an employer. Sia walked majestically towards the company entrance, she stated at her wrist Watch before adjusting it to fit her wrist. The guests she was waiting for finally arrived and dutifully ushered them inside, she walked ahead while the guests followed behind. Sia felt a piercing strong gaze swepting all over her, after adjusting her corporate fitted black suit, she slowly looked up to her side , her bright eyes meet those glittering eyes that was staring intensely at , the moment their eyes locked she immediately withdrew her gaze, her cheeks burned red from embarrassment.
Lucas was in his office waiting patiently for his best friend who called in earlier about her visit. Vera Chapman was Lucas childhood friend they both studied together from kindergarten till University, Vera left for the Hawaii to start her brand, while he remained in town to build his . Lucas owns a big Empire of luxury wears and most of his collection were all Vera's brand ' VEERA COLLECTION '. Vera rushed to Lucas and hugged him tightly, Lucas accepted her hug, he sniffed her next and smiled happily. Sia saw this and lowered her head while blushing.
" Longest time Lucas!" Vera blurted out. She smiled at Lucas but actually I could say she was actually smiling at Sia. Lucas saw this and smiled knowingly.
" You finally came home!!"Lucas replied ruffling her hair. Vera hit his hand out and smoothed her hair back .
" Old habits down die , do have to always mess with my hair!!'
" Cause it's as fluffy as ever!!", Lucas replied while smiling. Vera shook her head vigorously, she knew she was the only one who could bring out the childish side of Alpha Lucas. Vera stared time to time at Sia and it made Sia uncomfortable, Lucas noticed this.
" This is Sia my PA!, then he turned to sia this is Vera my childhood friend!!", Lucas introduced trying to clear the tension between them.
" Hy!! Nice to meet you!", Vera said immediately, offering her hand for a handshake. Sia was reluctant but due to how professional she was, she gave out her hands and accepted the shake
" Nice meeting you too!" She said and tried withdrawing her hands but it was held tightly by the other party, she had to forcefully pry it out. Vera smiled at her and withdrew her hands as well.
" Lucas I brought you this , she took the big rapped box from her assistant and handed them to Lucas, it the limited edition of my new brand....it a fluffy bear!", Vera said. Lucas opened the box, brought out the big fluffy pink bear, with a bunch of roses attached to it's hands, he stared at it for a while something flashed his mind..." I know actually who it belonged to 'he mumbled and Vera looked strangely at him, Lucas smiled and thanked her for the gift, he gave it to Sia to bring it to him car. He left with Vera and the drove out together....
