Chapter 15 - Relentless Training

The sun shone brightly through the window of the ship as Zane walked into the gravity chamber, the soft hum of the machinery reverberating through the air. The sight of Vegeta, still pushing himself to the limit, greeted him. Vegeta's movements were more fluid than before, but his struggle was still evident, punching, kicking, and grunting with each attack. His frustration was palpable.

Zane smirked, taking in the scene with an air of amusement. "Smells like shit in here," he said loudly, his voice carrying across the room. "If I didn't know better, I'd think we were in India."

Vegeta's head snapped around, his scowl deepening as he turned to face Zane. "You're back! Quickly check my power level," he demanded. "See where I am. For sure, I, Prince Vegeta, have surpassed Kakarot."

Zane rolled his eyes, walking casually toward him. "Well, you did make a big improvement," he said, looking Vegeta over. "Your power level's around 45,000. Not bad. You've been training for five hours, so I'd say that's a pretty massive improvement."

Vegeta frowned, his pride evident in his clenched jaw. "It's not enough. I'm still weaker than that human." His voice dropped slightly, but it was clear how much it irritated him. "What were you doing? You were supposed to be helping me."

Zane raised an eyebrow, his smirk never leaving his face. "I was doing Bulma," he said casually, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "But anyways, I'm here now. And trust me, by tomorrow morning, you'll be stronger than Krillin. The plan is simple: we spar, I beat you bloody, and you recover stronger. Saiyans recover stronger after near-death experiences, right? Let's take advantage of that."

Zane shifted into a fighting stance, his grin widening. "Come on, Vegeta. I'll train you like I promised." His eyes gleamed with anticipation, the devilish glint unmistakable in his expression.

Vegeta, his pride stinging, immediately took a defensive stance, his body tensing as he charged at Zane. He moved with determination, but the gravity held him back, making his strikes slower. Zane easily dodged his attack with a flick of his wrist, then stepped in, landing a brutal kick to Vegeta's face. The impact sent Vegeta flying across the room and crashing into the wall.

Zane smirked, appearing in front of Vegeta almost instantly, grabbing his head and slamming his face into the floor. Without missing a beat, he tossed Vegeta across the room, his body skidding across the ground before Zane was already there, grabbing him by the hair and throwing him again.

"You know, Vegeta," Zane said with a bored chuckle, "I'm getting bored of this game, but hey, it's good training for you." He tossed Vegeta across the room again, catching him mid-air, before throwing him again, almost like playing catch with the battered Saiyan.

Each throw, each slam, left Vegeta more bloodied, more exhausted, but his resolve never wavered. Vegeta slowly pushed himself up, his rage building, every inch of his pride screaming in defiance. He lunged again, swinging a powerful punch at Zane, but once again, Zane dodged effortlessly. Before Vegeta could react, Zane was underneath him, delivering a gut-wrenching punch that left Vegeta gasping for air.

Zane grinned, his eyes alight with excitement. "Come on, get up, Prince. You're making this harder than it needs to be." Vegeta, breathing heavily, got to his feet, his face contorted with pain and anger. He rushed at Zane once more, determined to land a hit, but again, Zane dodged, grabbing Vegeta's hair and slamming his head into the floor. The room echoed with the sound of impact.

This continued for hours, the two of them locked in a brutal cycle. Zane relentlessly pummeled Vegeta, each blow knocking the prince back, testing his limits, forcing him to grow stronger.

Finally, as the sun began to set, Zane turned off the gravity chamber. The room fell silent except for the heavy breathing of Vegeta, who lay battered and bloodied on the floor. Zane stood above him, his fists coated in the prince's blood, but there was no satisfaction in his expression, just the cold indifference of a trainer.

Zane's thoughts flickered for a moment. 'I might be a bit of a sadist,' he mused, glancing down at Vegeta. 'I wonder why Bulma never complains. Does she really like it rough?'

Shaking himself out of the thought, Zane called out, "Anyways, Vegeta, we'll continue tomorrow. Goku will join, so it's a bit more fair. After you recover, your power should rise."

With that, Zane turned and walked out of the gravity chamber, heading toward Capsule Corp. As he made his way down the ship's hallway, he thought to himself, 'I need to ask Bulma to build a gravity chamber outside of that small ship. This is getting old real fast.'
