Emily's POV
Morning came softly, slipping through the long cream curtains of Tyler's room. For the first time in days, my body felt rested. No nightmares. No sudden jolts awake. Just warmth… and silence.
Tyler wasn't touching me anymore which was sad, but he was still on his side of the bed, awake, staring up at the ceiling like he'd been thinking all night.
"Good morning," I said quietly.
He turned his head slightly. "Did you sleep well?"
I nodded. "Shockingly well, you?"
"Same too" he replied.
We both sat up, awkward for a moment—not because anything happened, but because everything was happening too fast in our lives.
Tyler rubbed the back of his neck. "Breakfast starts soon. Everyone should be awake by now."
"Alright let me freshen up, I'll meet you downstairs " I replied.
---
Tyler's mansion looked even bigger in daylight. The dining hall was huge—long polished table, tall windows, old framed portraits of past Alphas on the walls.
Mason was already there… and beside him stood Ria.
She looked exactly like someone who belonged in Havenwood—calm aura, strong posture, warm eyes. Mason couldn't stop smiling. He introduced us quickly.
"Emily, this is Ria… my mate."
Ria bowed her head slightly. "It's an honor to finally meet the First Blood."
I swallowed. "Please… just call me Emily."
Not long after, My four wolves—Liam, Isobel, Annabelle, and Lisa—came running in through the back doors, talking over each other about all the things they'd explored in the village.
"We saw a blacksmith that forges enchanted blades!"
"There was a market with moon-fruit!"
"And a training arena!"
I couldn't help but laugh. "You all act like tourists."
Blade shrugged. "The place is big"
After breakfast, Tyler offered to show me around the village....
Havenwood looked nothing like normal settlements—it was bigger, cleaner, and full of life.
Old-style wooden houses with carved symbols.
Wolf guards patrolling the paths.
People carrying baskets, children running with wooden swords, market stalls selling weird glowing fruits.
"Everyone here knows what I am already, don't they?" I asked.
Tyler nodded. "Word spread fast when Elder Rowan sensed your arrival yesterday."
I stopped walking. "Elder Rowan… the oldest wolf?"
"Yes," Tyler said. "And he wants to see you today."
My heart tightened. The Elder was ancient and powerful. And he was the only one who understood the First Blood lineage.
At the edge of Havenwood, the trees grew taller—almost unnaturally tall.
Tyler led me to a stone hut covered in vines.
Before we knocked, the door opened on its own.
Elder Rowan stood there. Silver hair, pale eyes, staff in hand. His presence felt like the forest itself was watching me.
"Emily," he said calmly. "First Blood of this era."
I bowed my head. "Elder."
He examined me silently, like he was reading my entire soul.
"You carry the ancient energy strongly," he finally said. "And you will need training to control it. Your power is growing faster than your body can handle."
I swallowed.
"How soon do we start?"
He smirked slightly. "Immediately."
Tyler stepped beside me. "I'll stay with her during the training, Elder."
"You will not interfere," Rowan replied without looking at him. "But you may stand there."
Tyler nodded once.
And just like that…
My first day in Havenwood officially began.
