"Hmm?" Babidi's triumphant smile froze on his face.
Moro sneered. "Foolish insect. Do you think I am a warrior who only knows brute force and understands nothing of magic?"
He extended a withered finger, a wisp of dark purple magical energy flickering at its tip.
"I am a planet-eater. You think such mind-control magic could work on me?"
"Wh-what?" The color drained from Babidi's face. He regretted coming out too hastily, without following behind Buu.
He shrieked, "Buu! Come and save..."
Squelch!
A hair-thin magical ray instantly pierced Babidi's forehead.
"Idiot!" Moro snorted disdainfully. Such a fool dared to steal his energy.
However, just as he was about to look away, a figure jumped out of the spaceship.
It was a round, pink, chubby figure with a happy smile on its face.
This pink figure was naturally Buu, whose seal had been broken.
The first thing he saw was Babidi's corpse on the ground. His beady eyes blinked. Instead of sadness, he clapped his hands and laughed joyfully:
"Hee-hee, goat, thank you for killing him! Now no one can control me! I can play whatever I want! Hee-hee-hee!"
Moro fixed his gaze on Buu and instantly flew into a rage. "It's you, the Grand Supreme Kai!"
"Grand Supreme Kai?" Buu tilted his head, looking bewildered. "What's that? Can I eat it?"
"Playing dumb?" Moro could no longer contain the hatred of being sealed for ten million years. He roared, "Just die!"
He transformed into a dark purple streak of light, carrying a terrifying suction that devoured everything, and pounced fiercely on Buu.
"Hmph! Bad goat! You dare hit me!" Buu was also enraged. The simple, silly expression on his face was instantly replaced by ferocity. His pink body shot forward like a cannonball.
Boom!
The ancient demon and the apocalyptic demon collided with a bang in the sky above this desert.
However, as soon as they engaged, Moro sensed something was wrong.
The other party was definitely not using the 'divine power' of the Grand Supreme Kai. Moreover, those mung bean-sized eyes held none of the Grand Supreme Kai's kindness or goodness.
"You are not the Grand Supreme Kai?" Moro asked, uncertain.
"I am Buu! The great Majin Buu!" Buu said angrily.
Moro stared at him for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter. "So that's it. I understand. You aren't the Grand Supreme Kai. The Grand Supreme Kai was eaten by you!"
Buu thought seriously for a moment. "Did I? I don't remember."
Moro grew even more pleased. "Hahaha! I never imagined that you, such a low-level demon, would devour him. How ridiculous!"
But soon, Moro could no longer laugh.
Because he discovered that this pink chubby guy who had eaten the Grand Supreme Kai was actually a stronger counter to him than the Grand Supreme Kai had been.
In terms of raw power, this chubby guy seemed only as strong as the two Saiyans.
But this chubby guy's body had a natural resistance, almost like magic immunity.
His energy-absorbing magic had no effect on Buu at all.
If he were in his prime, even if his magic had no effect, he was confident he could defeat the opponent.
But the problem was, he was now old and weak. Although he had absorbed some energy, it didn't solve the fundamental problem.
Under these circumstances, fighting a monster that completely countered him was unwise.
With that thought, Moro began to retreat.
His primary goal on this trip was to find the Dragon Balls to restore his youth. There was no need to fight this strange pink chubby guy to the death.
He suddenly intensified his attack, temporarily forcing Buu back, and took the opportunity to say loudly, "Stop, this is a misunderstanding. I mistook you for someone else just now."
However, Buu had been angered and had no intention of stopping.
He glared angrily at Moro. "You are not a good person. I will turn you into chocolate and eat you!"
Moro was speechless. "Of course I'm not a good person. But you, a demon who even ate the Grand Supreme Kai, are definitely even less of a good person."
Watching the two terrifying figures, dark purple and pink, clash violently again in the center of the desert, fighting so fiercely that the sky darkened and energy ran rampant, Shin felt utterly despairing. "Moro... Buu... two apocalyptic demons appearing at the same time, and they are fighting each other."
"No matter which side wins and devours the other's power, they will become unstoppable. Is the universe truly doomed?"
"No! We still have hope!" Krillin's tone was firm. "We still have the strongest Earthling warrior, Setsuna!"
"Setsuna?" Shin hesitated. "Is he truly stronger than Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan 3?"
Piccolo also hesitated. "Setsuna was indeed stronger than both of them seven years ago. But with Goku and Vegeta's progress, Setsuna might not necessarily be stronger now."
Vegeta, however, recalled how seven years ago, Setsuna had borrowed Future Trunks's body and unleashed power far beyond his limits.
He took a deep breath and said, "I can lend my body to Setsuna. With Setsuna's soul realm, combined with my physical bloodline, we can surely unleash the power to defeat that demon!"
…
Meanwhile, on the planet of the God of Destruction.
On a soft, cloud-like bed, a purple, pharaoh-cat-like figure was sleeping in a lazy, casual posture, even a glistening drop of drool at the corner of its mouth.
Suddenly, those long purple ears twitched slightly.
Then, Beerus opened his eyes from his sleep.
He rubbed his sleepy eyes. "Whis, how long did I sleep this time?"
Whis, standing by with an elegant smile, bowed slightly. "Beerus-sama, you have slept for a total of thirty-five years, seven months, and twelve days this time."
"Compared to your usual sleep cycles, this period was indeed quite short."
"I don't know why, but I have a strange feeling..." Beerus's face was full of displeasure. "It feels like I've been teetering on the edge of death. Tch, it annoys me."
"Let's do this. Go out and destroy a few planets, then come back and sleep some more."
Just then, a somewhat urgent voice sounded.
"Brother, Beerus-sama!" Merus's figure instantly materialized.
"Merus?" Whis raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. "What's wrong? Being so hurried is unlike you."
Merus stepped forward quickly and spoke rapidly. "Brother, Beerus-sama, that ancient demon Moro, who was sealed by the Grand Supreme Kai ten million years ago, has escaped prison!"
"Moro?" Whis softly repeated the name.
"That 'planet-eater' who lives by devouring the life of planets. Indeed a troublesome existence. The Grand Supreme Kai paid a considerable price to seal him back then."
"Precisely!" Merus looked expectantly at Beerus.
However, Beerus picked his ear with the tip of his tail, looking uninterested. "Isn't destroying planets what he does? The more planets he devours, the more he lightens my workload."
Merus had a sudden inspiration. "But this time, he intends to destroy a culinary planet!"
"Culinary planet?" Beerus's ears perked up immediately.
Merus nodded repeatedly. "Not only that. According to my information, the owner of that planet has even established a culinary corps in space specifically to develop cuisine, vigorously promoting the advancement of culinary culture throughout the universe!"
Hearing this, Beerus's expression became extremely serious. "I understand. Such an outstanding citizen of the universe must not be murdered by a cruel cosmic thug! Let's go. We're leaving now!"
