Chapter 537 - Chapter 537 Tournament of Power, The Method to Kill Grand Zeno

After Goku's defeat, Hit went on to easily defeat Piccolo, Vegeta, and Gohan, also achieving a streak of four consecutive victories, completely reversing the situation.

"Hahahaha, see that, Beerus?" Champa held his round belly and laughed heartily, returning Beerus's earlier mockery verbatim.

"Tch, the caliber of you Universe 7 warriors is just as weak as you are."

"Shut up, fatso." Beerus picked his ear, his tone leisurely. "Our ace hasn't even taken the stage yet."

He was secretly pleased: Setsuna's strength was something even he found unfathomable. Although this assassin named Hit was strong, the gap between him and Setsuna was just too vast.

Seeing that Beerus was not only unflustered but so calm, Champa's heart suddenly sank with a feeling of dread.

He forced himself to be reassured: 'Those two Saiyans were already very strong. Monsters like Hit don't appear that often.'

While Champa was uncertain, Setsuna finally stepped forward and calmly walked onto the stage.

Hit's cold gaze fell on Setsuna. This opponent felt strange to him.

He seemed unremarkable, with no powerful aura emanating, but standing there, he seemed to merge with the space itself, flawless.

The match began.

Hit did not hesitate. He activated his unbeatable [Time Skip] again.

His figure suddenly vanished, appearing behind Setsuna, his hand chop carrying the sharpness to tear space, aiming for Setsuna's neck.

Then, his hand chop, powerful enough to defeat a Super Saiyan 3, was firmly caught by a pale, porcelain-like hand.

For the first time, a noticeable fluctuation appeared in Hit's cold eyes.

'Had my Time Skip failed? Could the other party act within the absolute domain of stopped time?'

'This is impossible!' Hit refused to believe it. He used Time Skip repeatedly.

His figure transformed into countless afterimages, attacking Setsuna wildly from all sides.

But it was useless.

No matter how fast his movements or how fierce his attacks, Setsuna caught them all effortlessly.

The people below fell silent. Even those with the least discernment could see the vast gap between the two... they were not in the same dimension at all.

Champa's eyes reddened. He growled at Beerus, "You bastard, you knew that human's strength all along, didn't you?"

Beerus looked 'innocent'. "Yes, yes. But it was you who proposed the tournament. You can't blame me."

Champa said angrily, "You deliberately tricked me with Earth's cuisine!"

Beerus looked evasive. "Oh dear, I don't understand what you're saying?"

"You bastard!" Champa gritted his teeth. "But you have to tell me, just how strong is he? At least let me lose with some understanding!"

Beerus sighed. "I'd really like to tell you, but I don't know either."

"Don't know? You're trying to fool me again?" Champa fumed.

"I really don't know." Beerus sighed. "I can only tell you that he is stronger than me."

"What? Stronger than you?" Champa was truly shocked. Beerus was arguably ranked first among the twelve Gods of Destruction.

But Beerus said that human was stronger than him?

"Is that strange?" Beerus shrugged. "I heard long ago that there were mortals in some universe whose strength surpassed their God of Destruction."

After the shock, Champa grew even angrier. "You bastard, you're letting a monster stronger than you participate in a tournament among mortals? Have you no shame?"

"No." Beerus said calmly.

On the stage, Hit grew continuously under Setsuna's extreme pressure, finally advancing his Time Skip further.

[Time Skip - Void Zone!]

A strange wave spread out. Centered on Hit, the flow of time in a small area underwent an extremely subtle change.

In Hit's perception, time in this area was completely 'frozen'.

He seized this hard-won opportunity, gathered all his strength, and launched his strongest attack yet, aiming straight for Setsuna's chest.

Then, he was sent flying by Setsuna again.

Looking at Setsuna standing casually in the [Void Zone], Hit's frozen composure nearly shattered.

'Was this bastard immune to my Time Skip?'

Setsuna said calmly, "You should just use straightforward attacks."

In the eyes of lower-level Dragon Ball warriors, Hit's Time Skip might seem miraculous.

But in Setsuna's eyes, having reached the Ninth Sense, Time Skip was only ordinary.

After all, the Ninth Sense could reverse time and change the past.

"I lose." Hit's eyes were no longer cold, but numb.

Before this, he had never encountered an opponent and didn't know what growth meant.

He had hoped to meet an opponent who could pressure him.

Now, an opponent who could pressure him had finally appeared.

But the problem was, the pressure was too great. He couldn't handle it.

Hearing Hit admit defeat, Champa shrugged, not taking it out on them as he did in a certain timeline.

After all, Beerus had said that human was even stronger than him.

The outcome of this fight was predetermined from the start.

Just then, three figures suddenly appeared on the stage.

Two of the figures were as slender as stick insects, pulling a child-like figure between them, who looked like a robot, as they slowly descended.

Seeing the three, Beerus and Champa, who had been slouching lazily, sprang up like springs, bowing at a ninety-degree angle, greeting them with profuse sweating, "Lord Grand Zeno!"

Whis and Vados, meanwhile, smiled and greeted him without bowing.

"Beerus, Champa, you seem to have been somewhat derelict in your duties," Grand Zeno said, tilting his head.

"L-Lord Grand Zeno!" Beerus's voice trembled. "W-we were just hosting a small tournament. It shouldn't affect our work, should it?"

Setsuna quietly observed this supreme god, feeling somewhat emotional.

If you didn't know the background, who would think that this harmless-looking child was the most terrifying existence in the multiverse?

Seeing Beerus and Champa sweating in fear, Grand Zeno seemed to find it very amusing. "Haha, I was just joking with you."

Beerus and Champa breathed a long sigh of relief. They didn't think this was really just a joke.

Given Grand Zeno's personality, a joke could very well become reality.

Grand Zeno continued, "This tournament of yours seems quite interesting. People from different universes fighting together. That's never happened before, has it?"

"Since it's so interesting..." Grand Zeno raised his hands high, "I want to play too. I'll host an even bigger tournament, get all twelve universes to participate. That will surely be a lot of fun!"

Setsuna thought to himself, 'The most infuriating Tournament of Power is finally here.'

This tournament was a huge trap. The universe of the losers would be destroyed, while the ultimate winner could have one wish granted.

The correct wish would be to restore all the erased universes, which was effectively no benefit. An incorrect choice would cause all universes to be destroyed together, which was an even bigger trap.

'Although the essence of this Tournament of Power is a massive trap, for me, it's the best opportunity to surpass Grand Zeno!' Setsuna thought calmly.

He would need to win the championship, then make a 'selfish' wish, getting Grand Zeno to personally destroy all the universes.

Then, he could kill Grand Zeno when he was at his weakest, and finally restore these twelve universes.
