One piece world
New world
On a small boat drifting across the endless ocean…
A young man was lying unconscious.
This young man had the distinctive features of Portgas D. Ace—freckles on his cheeks, slightly long messy hair, and a lean, strong build. But at this moment, he looked confused, as if his soul didn't fully belong to this body.
Slowly, the young man opened his eyes.
He looked around blankly and finally muttered the three soul-searching questions:
"Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?"
Silence followed.
Then, like a flood, the memories of the body poured into him.
Akira blinked.
"So… I've transmigrated again. And this time, into the One Piece world."
He sighed.
"Well, whatever. Hey, System—are you there?"
He raised his hand, expecting a glowing panel to appear.
And indeed, a panel appeared—but it showed only a single backpack, nothing else.
"Hey… so the System ran away? And left me only the storage? And even that storage has nothing but a sible DUST RELEASE attack? This is cheating!"
Akira—now Ace—sat quietly for a few minutes, trying to calm himself.
He stared at the ocean stretching endlessly around him.
Somehow, despite everything, he felt motivated.
In the Naruto world, Ace had been stuck in Konoha and never got to travel properly.
But in the One Piece world, he could travel the seas freely.
The world-building here was enormous.
And maybe—just maybe—he could even find out what the One Piece really was.
He stood up on the boat, took a deep breath, and shouted loudly:
"HEY, ONE PIECE! YOUR KING IS COMING!"
The words echoed across the empty sea.
For a moment, Akira felt embarrassed—but at the same time lighter.
All the pressure and depression from before felt washed away.
He checked the inherited memories again and frowned.
"So the timeline… is right after Teach killed the captain of fourth division, Thatch. And I—Ace—am going to capture him. It's been a day since I left the MOBY DICK."
He clenched his fist.
Ace began gathering information about Blackbeard in his mind.
Blackbeard… Marshall D. Teach. Son of the previous pirate overlord Rocks D. Xebec. Current user of the Darkness Fruit and future user of Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi. The man who scarred Shanks' eye and traumatized him. The man who captured Ace's future self, triggered the Marineford War, and became the biggest winner of that war—forming an Emperor-level crew and becoming an Emperor himself right after.
Teach had been planning for decades. He was definitely not some hot-headed fool.
As for his strength… his strength had always been an anomaly. But Ace felt that, at this point in time, Blackbeard should be at Admiral-candidate level at best. If he were stronger than that, he wouldn't have run from Whitebeard in his old age. He would have fought him head-on instead of relying on the chaos of Marineford to steal the Gura Gura no Mi. And even after eating Darkness fruit he was still beaten by dying Whitebeard, and then beaten again by Sengoku.
Right now, without the Gura Gura no Mi, Blackbeard was basically what RPG games would call a tank.
He could take Sengoku's attack—roll on the ground in agony for a while—and then get up like nothing happened.
He could take Whitebeard's full strength punch directly to the face with no defense, cry for a few minutes, and still stand up.
He could take Ace's full-power attack and survive in the same way.
His only real specialty right now was defense.
As for offensive power without the Gura Gura, he was definitely not at an Emperor's level.
So Ace thought that even if he couldn't defeat Blackbeard outright, he could at least escape. In the original anime, the real reason he fought Blackbeard to the death was because Teach threatened him—saying that if Ace didn't stop him, he'd capture Luffy and use him to gain the Shichibukai position. Ace got reckless, his Devil Fruit was countered, and because Ace wasn't a haki-focused fighter, his defeat was natural.
So Ace thought,
Blackbeard has partners. I should have partners too.
After thinking for a bit, he thought of Yamato. Two years ago, Ace had fought Yamato, and neither had won or lost. That meant Yamato was definitely stronger at that time—because Yamato had been restricted by seastone. Her Devil Fruit was unusable, and even her haki was suppressed.
Right now, even without her two-years-later strength, Yamato still had all three types of haki.
He could also ask Jinbe for help. Jinbe was a Shichibukai, so he could move freely for now. Their strengths were roughly similar, too.
With the three of them together, they would have a force comparable to an Kaido's three disasters and even stronger. Even Blackbeard's crew wouldn't be unscathed.
And then Ace thought of something else.
Why not ask for help from Grandpa Garp? If you have background, use it. Why do everything alone?
He felt foolish for ignoring that option. After all, in another timeline, Garp would eventually be captured by Blackbeard. Maybe this Garp could avenge that future Garp.
And if even Garp can't defeat Blackbeard and Blackbeard has Yonko level strength then he can ask help from Reileigh.
And if even all of them can't defeat Blackbeard them he might as well commit Suicide.
As Ace strengthened this plan in his mind, he took out the log pose pointing toward Wano. He infused fire into his boat like a jet engine, and the small ship shot forward across the sea—cutting the waves rapidly toward Wano.
Within minutes, it disappeared into the horizon
