Chapter 69 - 47) Mangekyo Sharingan Awakening

Kakashi's POV

Kakashi opened his eyes—and instantly regretted it.

He was no longer standing in the real world.

He was inside a world of infinite mirrors.

Every direction he looked—left, right, above, below—there were hundreds of thousands of Kakashis staring back at him.

Every reflection carried the same thought.

And then those thoughts multiplied.

And multiplied.

And multiplied.

Infinite reflections → infinite thoughts → infinite noise.

Kakashi felt a headache pierce into his skull.

"Tch… this genjutsu… it's not like anything I've ever seen…"

His chakra was already low.

But the longer he stayed, the more the endless reflections began to echo his own consciousness back at him, making even his internal monologue feel loud and irritating.

Kakashi clenched his teeth.

He felt like he would go mad if he stayed one more second.

Kakashi's left eye bled slightly as his Mangekyō Sharingan activated.

His chakra tank dropped even further—dangerously low.

The mirrors didn't disappear.

In fact, the reflections of the mirrors inside the reflections of the mirrors started reacting to the Mangekyō, making his thoughts feel even more crowded, more multiplied… more suffocating.

Kakashi felt his irritation spike.

"Enough."

The world wouldn't stop.

The mirrors wouldn't stop.

The reflections wouldn't stop.

His Mangekyō spun violently.

Then—

Something inside Kakashi's instinct clicked.

He felt it.

A direction.

A point in this infinite world where the illusion's structure was thin.

He turned his head slightly.

And the moment his Mangekyō aligned with that point—

"Right there."

If he attacked that exact spot, every single reflection, every mirror, every piece of this annoying world would shatter.

Without thinking—without planning—Kakashi unleashed Kamui.

The swirling distortion erupted from his eye.

The mirror world cracked.

Then shattered.

Like a glass universe collapsing inwards.

Each shard of broken space dissolved into the darkness.

Kakashi exhaled, relieved.

---

When he opened his eyes—

He expected the genjutsu to be gone.

He expected everything to be normal again.

But his heart stopped.

Kamui…

had not closed.

The distortion was still active.

Still pulling.

And the target was—

Akira.

Kamui was pulling the space around Akira's chest, twisting reality toward the dimensional vortex.

"A-Akira—!!"

Kakashi tried to yell.

But the world spun.

His vision dimmed.

His chakra crashed to zero.

And Kakashi—

fell unconscious.

But even as he dropped forward, a final thought passed through his mind:

"Good…

If I'm unconscious…

Kamui would stop…

He'll be safe…"

---

Akira froze.

He didn't understand what was happening.

Why would Kakashi—calm, rational Kakashi—use Kamui on him in a simple spar?

Kamui wasn't a technique you used casually.

Kamui was irreversible damage.

Kamui was a tearing of space.

He could see it—feel it.

The space in front of his chest was twisting, warping like a whirlpool of invisible blades, pulling reality into a spiral.

Akira's heart dropped.

"Why… why is Kakashi doing this…?"

He didn't know Kakashi had already fainted.

He didn't know Kamui would stop in a few moments."

All he knew was this:

Death was coming.

And fast.

---

Akira had fought countless life-or-death battles in simulations.

Simulated ambushes.

Simulated assassins.

Simulated war scenarios.

But those were simulations.

For the first time since arriving in the Naruto world—

for the first time in this real, breathing, unforgiving reality—

Akira faced death.

The space around his chest twisted deeper.

His ribs shook.

His chakra spasmed.

This was the same jutsu that tore Deidara's arm clean off in the original timeline.

If Kakashi hadn't been exhausted back then, Deidara would've been completely erased.

And now—

Akira was in that same place.

His heartbeat thundered.

His breath shook.

Akira felt something rupture inside him—

not physically, but emotionally.

A sudden, overwhelming surge of fear, mixed with resignation, and a burning instinct to survive.

That emotional storm ignited the bloodline in his eyes.

The edges of his vision trembled.

His three-tomoe Sharingan spun violently—

one rotation

two rotations

three rotations

And the tomoe began to blur.

Then merge.

Then twist into a new shape.

They folded into one another.

They reshaped themselves into a pattern far sharper, colder, more powerful.

The Mangekyō Sharingan bloomed.

Its black-and-crimson design spun like a blazing sigil.

But Akira had no time to admire it.

No time to understand it.

No time to even breathe—

Because Kamui was already tearing at him.

His body moved on instinct—

or maybe it was something deeper than instinct.

His newly awakened Mangekyō flared.

A violet-red aura burst from his eye.

And without thinking, without understanding, without planning—

Akira unleashed his first Mangekyō ability.

Right here.

Right now.

In the face of death.

Kūkai no Kago — "Cage of Empty Space"

---

With Akira at the center, it happened.

The air cracked.

The ground trembled.

Reality itself stilled.

And then—

10 meters of space around Akira solidified.

The wind froze.

The dust froze.

Even the Kamui distortion—

the swirling, deadly vortex that was about to swallow him—

became motionless.

For a moment, it was impossible to tell:

Did Akira's new Mangekyō stop space?

Or did Kakashi's chakra collapse and shut Kamui down?

No one knew.

Not Tsunade, not Jiraiya, not Fugaku.

Not even Akira.

Because Akira…

Akira wasn't thinking anymore.

---

Death had brushed his neck.

His instincts exploded.

His body acted before his thoughts existed.

The Mangekyō blazed.

A ring of crimson light cut across the frozen air.

And Akira's second Mangekyō ability…

Ashihara no Michi — Path of a Thousand Steps

…activated instinctively.

---

Akira Vanished.

Not blurred.

Not flickered.

He disappeared.

Reality blinked—

and when it came back:

26 Akiras stood around Kakashi.

Not illusions.

Not clones.

Not projections.

All of them were "real" for that split moment across fractured micro-timelines.

All of them had intent.

All of them had killing instinct.

And all of them saw Kakashi as the one who:

trapped him

threatened him

almost erased his existence

Their bodies moved on instinct.

Their chakra erupted.

And then—

---

26 Akiras unleashed 26 different jutsu at once.
