Every time one of my limbs grows back, my heat cycle shifts. It's never the same as it was the month before.
And now, I never expected my heat to come at such a terrible time.
Eson was still staring at me, and I couldn't say a word.
The problem was that heat released strong pheromones. Other werewolves could easily smell it. If this continued, our hiding place would be exposed in no time.
"An omega is someone sought after by alpha's heirs. How did you end up being banished and becoming a rogue?" Eson asked.
I didn't answer.
And he didn't press further. It seemed he understood that my situation was not something easy to explain.
My gaze moved to Ella. She was looking at me with confusion, not understanding the conversation between me and her father.
I took a deep breath and spoke softly. "I'll leave."
This time, Ella instinctively grabbed my cloak and shook her head.
I gently loosened her grip, then turned to Eson and nodded.
