While Clarissa was trapped in the basement, Edwin, Adrian, and I spent our time vacationing at a seaside villa.

"There's something you need to know," he finally said, his voice flat.
"What is it?" I asked softly.
"Richard has been busy lately, gathering information about ae-device manufacturing companies."
I frowned. "For what?"
"To commercialize Shifter's Aide."
The name made my fingers tense unconsciously. Shifter's Aide.
"He's looking for a company large enough to produce it on a wide scale," Adrian continued. "Several names from the capital have already been contacted."
