Chapter 277 - Chapter 276 Rou Jia Mo! Rou Jia Mo! Rou Jia Mo!!!

"I want a serving of braised chicken! And... a serving of Sweet Tofu Pudding. And this Rou Jia Mo is the one with meat sandwiched in a flatbread, right? I want one too. And the Yang Zhou Fried Rice, is it the one that looks like a rainbow? I want one serving too!" Xi Xi happily ordered while flipping through the menu. After ordering everything, she put down the menu and looked at Lu Lu sitting opposite her, asking, "Lu Lu, what do you want to eat?"

"I'll just eat what you left over." Lu Lu smiled and shook his head, closed the menu, and looked at Yabemia, saying, "Let's just order these."

"Okay, please wait a moment." Yabemia smiled and nodded, then walked toward the next customer.

"One serving of Braised Chicken Rice, one Rou Jia Mo, one serving of Sweet Tofu Pudding, and one serving of Savory Tofu Pudding." Robert said, closing the menu and looking at Yabemia.

"I'm sorry, guest, but each person can only order one serving of tofu pudding." Yabemia said, shaking her head slightly.

"One for me and one for my friend." Robert said, pointing at Luther.

"Vice…I don't need any tofu pudding, really not." Luther quickly waved his hand, but hearing Robert refer to him as a friend, it seemed he didn't want to reveal his identity, so he swallowed the word "President" at the end.

"Since we're here, we should definitely try this addictive tofu pudding. Let's just order this." Robert said with a smile to Yabemia.

"Okay, please wait a moment." Yabemia nodded with a smile and turned to walk towards the kitchen.

"There's such a sweet couple today, their conversations are like they're showering you with candy." Yabemia said with a smile as she entered the kitchen, where Sally was washing dishes.

"Are they really going to put on a dog food display in broad daylight?" Upon hearing this, Mai Ge turned around and looked into the restaurant. He saw a burly man carefully brushing the bangs of his petite female companion across from him. His affectionate gaze made him envious, but also made him want to kick over this dog food display.

Sally also turned around and glanced back, her eyes lighting up slightly, but her expression remained calm and composed.

"Feeding dog food? Boss, what's that?" Yabemia picked up two servings of braised chicken and looked at Mai Ge with some confusion.

"This…" Mai Ge opened his mouth. There was no such term as "single dog" in this world, so it was a bit difficult to explain "dog food". After thinking for a moment, he explained, "It's the behavior of couples who forcefully show their affection in front of people who are not in a relationship. That's called 'feeding dog food'. It's my hometown dialect."

"I see." Yabemia nodded thoughtfully, then asked with some curiosity, "But Boss, do people in your hometown usually refer to themselves as 'dogs'?"

"This…" Mai Ge was stumped again. The term "single dog" wasn't really that insulting. It was usually used in self-deprecation. But the word "dog".... sounded a bit strange, so Mai Ge smiled cleverly and said, "You should serve the guests first."

"Okay." Yabemia immediately quickened her pace and left the kitchen.

When Mai Ge looked away, he happened to glance at Luther. With his excellent memory, he immediately recognized him as the staff member from the Food Association who had come to promote the food ranking slips that day. And the man sitting opposite him, dressed in a rather well-made outfit, was very likely a mid to high level member of the Food Association, judging from Luther's attitude.

"What are they doing here? Do they suspect me of vote rigging or cheating?" Mai Ge frowned slightly, pondering the reason for the two men's presence.

But then he thought about it again and turned back to cooking, somewhat indifferent. Anyone with eyes could tell the difference between real and fake food. If someone came to cause trouble after tasting it themselves, it meant that someone was trying to make trouble for him.

One dish after another was brought out of the kitchen by Yabemia and precisely delivered to each guest. Sally was also extremely efficient at clearing the table and settling accounts. With a casual water magic spell, the greasy table instantly became clean and spotless.

"A restaurant with only three people can operate so efficiently. The owner has a really good eye for choosing waiters." Robert couldn't help but admire. Watching Mai Ge operating several kitchen utensils at the same time, he was even more excited for the dishes that were about to be served.

"Your orders of Braised Chicken Rice, Rou Jia Mo, and one serving each of sweet and savory tofu pudding are ready." Yabemia said with a smile as she walked over with a tray, placed the dishes down, and put them down one by one.

"Thank you." Robert nodded slightly, but his gaze was already drawn to the dishes in front of him.

Although he had already seen other guests eat quite a lot, but the aroma that wafted towards him when the food was actually placed in front of him still made him swallow hard.

The rich aroma of chicken soup was enhanced to its fullest by another fragrance he didn't recognize. The two bowls of white and tender things, drizzled with sugar syrup and sauce respectively, must be Sweet Tofu Pudding and Savory Tofu Pudding. A faint aroma of tofu pudding wafted into his nose. The Rou Jia Mo in the brown paper bag also had a particularly special meaty aroma. He wondered what kind of cooking method was used to make such a delicious dish.

"Luther, would you like sweet or savory tofu pudding?" Robert asked, looking at Luther.

"Lord, you choose first, I'm fine with anything." Since Robert had already made his choice, Luther didn't insist any further, but still said with a smile.

"Okay, then I'll choose this Savory Tofu Pudding." Robert smiled as he picked up the bowl of tofu pudding, which was drizzled with orange red sauce and topped with pickled vegetables, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. He preferred the savory flavor to the sweet one.

Luther's gaze was completely drawn to the Rou Jia Mo in front of him. The aroma of braised meat wafted into his nose, a wonderful taste he had never experienced before.

He wouldn't say he'd tried every restaurant in Aden Square, but he'd at least visited every single one. Yet, none of them had ever stirred such a strong appetite in him. While waiting in line, watching other customers enjoy their meals had already made his stomach rumble, and now he was getting even more restless.

"I think...may be it's not that delicious..." Luther persisted in his last bit of stubbornness, then his hands, somewhat uncontrollably, picked up the Rou Jia Mo, put it to his mouth, and took a bite.

Two layers of soft and sweet Bai Ji Mo sandwich tender braised meat. One bite and the delicious meat juices overflow, making every taste bud on his tongue seem to be in a frenzy.

In that instant, Luther felt as if his life had been elevated, and he was suddenly trapped in an endless whirlwind of delicious braised meat, the wonderful flavors dancing on his tongue.

"This...this is simply a delicacy that could not possibly exist in this world! What kind of divine cooking skills must he possess to make such delicious food! This is light! A light that illuminates Aden Square! Such delicious food should be ranked number one on the Aden Square Food Ranking list!" Luther roared inwardly.

Is a small Rou Jia Mo worth 300 copper coins?

Absolutely!

He'd completely forgotten about vote rigging, hiring shills, and creating hype, all he could think about now was Rou Jia Mo! Rou Jia Mo! Rou Jia Mo!!!
