Chapter 371 - Chapter 370 Are You Kidding Me?

The fact that Restaurant Mai Mi was still not on the list became a topic of conversation among customers while they waited in line for their meals. Anger was natural, but Mai Ge's good attitude helped to ease the customers' mood that had been affected since the morning.

"Boss Mai, can't I really order grilled fish this morning? I had one last night, it was so delicious, I'm craving it so badly, please make me one." Harrison said to Mai Ge, his voice full of pleading.

"Spicy Grilled Fish is not served at breakfast. If you want it, you can come earlier for lunch or dinner." Mai Ge smiled and shook his head. The system didn't have any rules about this, but he felt that the air in the restaurant should be fresher in the morning. Moreover, a refreshing breakfast is good for health. Mai Ge was quite concerned about the health of his guests.

"Alright, in that case, I'll have a serving of Braised Chicken Rice." Seeing that Mai Ge's expression showed no sign of negotiation, Harrison had no choice but to nod and sit down.

"Master Turtle Shell, is my magic wand almost finished? Master Half Beard said it's almost done, is that true?" Amy stood next to Yulian, who was taking small bites of Savory Tofu Pudding, and asked expectantly.

"Yes, it's almost done. It'll be ready in two days at most." Yulian nodded, looking at Amy with a beaming smile. "Little Amy, would you like Master to treat you to some Savory Tofu Pudding?"

"Great! I'm finally going to have my own magic wand!" Amy jumped up and down happily, then looked at Yulian and shook her head with a smile. "No need, thank you, Master Turtle Shell. I've already eaten. You just need to pay for it."

"Uh… okay." Yulian's expression froze. Although he had already agreed to cover Amy's meals during class, but he still felt a little strange that the little one was eating in her family own restaurant, and he was supposed to pay for it.

"A magic wand that can grow bigger and smaller, could it be the Ruyi Jingu Bang?" Mai Ge couldn't help but think to himself as he listened to their conversation. Back then, Amy's request could have been considered completely unreasonable, but Yulian and Crassus took it very seriously, and now they were almost finished with the product, which did surprise and excited him.

As the only mage on this continent who possesses both melee and ranged magic, Amy's first magic wand, crafted by two great mages, is highly anticipated, even though Amy currently knows very little magic.

"Arthur should be back from Luo Du in two days. I heard he's bringing two more little ones with him this time. We can use that to test out the magic wand for Little Amy." Crassus said with a smile as he walked in.

"Master Half Beard, do you want Little Amy to fight bad guys?" Amy asked Crassus with shining eyes.

"Hmm... I guess so. Anyway, these guys were never up to any good, so they should see what kind of strength my apprentice Crassus has." Crassus nodded with a smile, sat down, and ordered a serving of Yang Zhou Fried Rice.

"This is Yulian's apprentice. Remember that." Yulian glanced at Crassus sitting at the next table, his voice hoarse and cold.

"Heh, don't worry, now the entire Nolan Continent knows that you and I have taken on the same disciple." Crassus glanced at Yulian, his eyes also flashing with fire, and retorted sharply, "However, it's uncertain what kind of magic Amy will use to defeat her opponent. The most interesting scene would be one where melee magic crushes ranged magic."

"Ha, those little guys, she only needs to give them one Flame of Extreme Cold and that will be enough. What's the point of a little girl waving a big stick around?" Yulian sneered.

"Master Turtle Shell, Master Half Beard, do you want to have a fight? Which is more powerful, melee magic or ranged magic? I really want to know too." Amy said, looking at the two of them with great anticipation.

The customers in the restaurant also looked over. After observing them for a while, they found that the two great mages had good tempers, at least when they were in the restaurant. There was no need to worry that they would suddenly attack.

The debate between the two, involving ice and fire magic, spread widely among the guests after being told by some mages. Therefore, everyone was eagerly anticipating when a victor would be decided in their contest between melee and ranged magic, ice and fire magic.

"Magic, of course, is best used in close combat. I'd like a serving of Sweet Tofu Pudding." Crassus said calmly, ordering his food as he went.

"If a mage still needs melee combat, then learning magic is pointless. Check, please." Yulian remained quite calm, took out his money, placed it on the table, and left.

"Goodbye, Master Half Beard, I'm going to class now. Teacher Yulian said he'll teach me a new spell today." Amy waved to Crassus, then said goodbye to Mai Ge and the others. She followed Yulian out the door with her short legs, then stopped at the door and waved to Ugly Duckling, saying, "Ugly Duckling, come here, I'll take you to play with Black Charcoal and Green Bean."

"Meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling looked at Amy, who had her arms outstretched, and slowly backed away, retreating behind the counter. It poked out a little head and shook its head at Amy to indicate its refusal.

"Don't worry, I won't let you fight today, really." Amy said, still waving.

"Meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling shook its head again.

"I won't lock you in the birdcage today." Amy promised again.

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling meowed and immediately hid behind the counter, not even sticking its head out.

"Tch, coward." Amy wiped her nose with the back of her hand, turned around, and walked away.

The Ugly Duckling cautiously peeked out, then climbed onto the high stool with a satisfied sigh, lay on its back exposing its little belly, closed its eyes, and began to sleep.

Mai Ge glanced at the Ugly Duckling, whose belly was already starting to show, and shook his head with a smile. If this continued, it would really become a big orange cat.

"System, the ranking mission failed. Just give me a new mission." During his lunch break, Mai Ge moved a recliner to the door to sunbathe. He leisurely rocked the recliner and thought to himself as he scattered the few remaining grains of Moonlight Fragrant Rice. Immediately, a flock of white pigeons scrambled to eat them.

"The mission is not yet over, so the system will not issue new missions. Host, please do your best to complete the mission and do not give up easily! Although there is no penalty for this mission, but it will reduce the host's mission completion rate, which will directly affect the difficulty and rewards of the missions to come." The system's serious voice sounded.

"Holy crap! System, are you kidding me?!"

Mai Ge sat up abruptly in his recliner, his eyes wide.
