The ice and fire sphere, trailing a long red and blue tail, hurtled toward George, leaving a trail of mist in the air—half frozen cold air, half scorching heat—a truly magnificent sight.
"Such powerful magical fluctuations!" The students of the Magic Academy stared wide-eyed. They were already surprised enough when Amy produced the Extreme Cold Flame and the Fireball spell, but the scene of fusing the ice ball and the fireball was even more shocking and completely overturned their understanding of magic.
The fusion of the simplest basic spells, Extreme Cold Flame and Fireball, produced magical fluctuations at the level of intermediate level magic. The ice and fireball, seemingly ready to explode at any moment, made everyone want to stay far away.
Such powerful magic, wielded by a four years old girl, left them in awe.
The people below the stage stared wide-eyed at the ice and fireball in disbelief. They hadn't held out any hope, but Amy's performance seemed to have completely exceeded their expectations. May be a miracle really would happen?
"The fluctuations of intermediate level magic, and almost instantaneous at that. This little brat's strength is rather strange?" Hank also looked at Amy with a somewhat gloomy gaze. Although he didn't think her strength could threaten him, but at her age of four, this kind of strength represented unlimited potential.
The boys from the Mage Tower were also pondering whether they could withstand such a spell.
"Interesting, but this level of magic isn't enough!" George said coldly, watching the ice and fireball hurtling towards him. He took two steps back, simultaneously swinging his magic wand and rapidly chanting the incantation for Pillar of Gale.
Boom!
A pillar of wind descended from the sky, landing two meters in front of George, blocking the path of the ice and fireball. Green wind blades, like scimitars, spun rapidly with the gale. It was this same Pillar of Gale that had easily torn through Neil's rock armor and swept him off the arena.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the ice-fireball with its long tail slammed into the Pillar of Gale. The pillar of wind trembled as if struck by a meteorite, moving about a meter towards George before coming to a stop.
"I told you, you only have one chance to cast a spell." George said, a victorious smile spreading across his face as he looked at Amy. It seemed the ice-fireball was only impressive in appearance.
"Ice and Fire Bomb, explode!"
Amy lightly waved her magic wand.
"Boom!!!"
A deafening explosion erupted from the Pillar of Gale, instantly shattering the solid pillar, breaking apart wind blades, and spewing out blue ice flames and red flames, with intense magical fluctuations surging in all directions.
"How is this possible..." George stared wide-eyed at the small mushroom cloud rising in front of him, then was blasted away by the heatwave that almost touched his face, slamming into the magical shield behind him and landing face-first on the ground with a thud.
The powerful magical shockwave continued its force against the magical shield, crackling and exploding with brilliant sparks.
"She actually won!"
After a moment of silence, the entire venue erupted into a frenzy of celebration.
Everyone stared at Amy, who stood in the center of the arena, holding a purple magic wand. Their expressions, besides excitement, were nothing but shock.
One strike!
Amy defeated George, who had previously won seven consecutive matches, with a single, overwhelming blow. He was utterly powerless, losing all his fighting ability.
The contrast between her adorable appearance and formidable strength was striking. If one hadn't witnessed her casting magic firsthand, it would be unbelievable that this cute little elf could blast away an opponent using intermediate level magic with a single ice and fireball.
"Such powerful magic! Is she already a level four mage?" Klaus stared at Amy in shock. Even standing outside the light shield, he could feel the power of the magic. If it had exploded in front of him, he felt he would have been completely defenseless.
The students of the Magic Academy were all gaping in astonishment. They were the representatives chosen by the Magic Academy, but now they had to admit that the strongest among them was not their captain, Klaus, but this little junior sister.
"How could this be… It can't be!" George, his clothes torn and his face covered in soot, slumped at the edge of the arena, struggling to lift his head to look at Amy, still unable to accept the fact that he had lost to her.
"I told you, you only had one chance to cast a spell, so you lost." Amy looked at George and said seriously.
"You!" George felt a surge of anger rise from the bottom of his heart, a mixture of humiliation and shame overwhelm him, and his vision went black as he fainted.
"Amy is amazing! So cool!" Daphne suddenly stood up and shouted.
"How did she become so amazing? It feels so stressful to be friends with her." Ignaz scratched his head, looking somewhat troubled.
"Little Amy is amazing! I never imagined her magical talent was so strong. I even wanted to stop Mr. Mai Ge from sending her to learn magic…" Luna stared at Amy on the stage, her mouth slightly agape, feeling a flush of embarrassment as she recalled her earlier words of advice to Mai Ge.
"Truly a genius. To have such a high level of control over magic at such a young age, she's likely to break all the records left by the elven princess." Capas also looked at Amy with amazement. The fusion of ice and fire requires mastery of both, and a profound understanding of both spells.
"She's made great progress in just one night. Little Amy is truly a born mage." Crassus put down his chopsticks at some point, a satisfied smile on his face.
"It seems Amy's strength has improved again. This speed of advancement is putting a lot of pressure on me as her daddy." Mai Ge listened to the cheers around him and looked at Amy standing in the center of the stage, a proud smile on his face.
"A four years old level four mage, even the elven princess back then couldn't achieve that. Is this the real reason why Crassus and Yulian, two sworn enemies who fought for a hundred years, finally reconciled and took the same apprentice? Such a genius is one in a thousand years." Albert looked at Amy, his expression somewhat solemn, but his eyes couldn't hide his amazement.
"In the tenth match, Chaos Academy wins!" Capas announced loudly, his voice unconsciously rising a few decibels.
George was carried aside by two mages from the Mage Tower, and the crowd erupted in even louder cheers. Chaos Academy's first victory was unexpectedly brought about by this little mage!
"Little brat, it seems I underestimated you. But isn't your master known as the strongest melee mage on the continent? Don't you even know melee magic?" Hank walked into the arena with a dark face, looking at Amy with full of mockery.
