The speaker's voice had no noticeable pauses or emotion, so I couldn't determine their gender just by listening.
I thought there was only one person in front of me, but when I looked up, I saw seven or eight robots blocking the library entrance. These robots, clad head-to-toe in light gray armor, were at least a head taller than me. Their eyes glowed red as they blocked the library exit.
They simultaneously straightened their right hands holding red ballpoint pens, then flicked them together to the right. Red lightsabers, similar to those in the movie Star Wars, appeared in their hands. Huh? Why is there a green health bar above their heads?
The appearance of health bars means combat is about to start.
Isn't this supposed to be a school simulation game? Why do we need to fight monsters?
I subconsciously took a few steps back.
I gripped my dark blue ballpoint pen and mimicked their motion: straightening my arm and then flicking it to the right.
Several seconds later, the ballpoint pen in my right hand was still just a ballpoint pen; it hadn't turned into a lightsaber.
"If you want me to fight monsters in the game, at least give me a usable weapon!" I complained angrily, staring at the pen.
Suddenly, a red light flashed before my eyes. I reflexively jumped back, but it was too late to avoid the sweeping lightsaber. A small, painless red mark was scratched onto my arm.
The robots surrounded me, and I did my best to dodge the lightsabers slashing at me.
I glanced at the green health bar in the upper left corner showing my HP; the rectangular bar had decreased by a small segment.
Fortunately, the robots' movements weren't very fast. While dodging their attacks, I found an opening and used a side kick technique I learned in other games, kicking one of the robots in the abdomen.
The kicked robot froze in place as if it had crashed. Its health bar decreased only a tiny bit, and after about 3 seconds, it resumed its actions.
Seeing that the attack was effective, I gripped my ballpoint pen tightly and decided to use punches and kicks to deal with them.
I sidestepped to avoid a fierce horizontal slash from one robot, then threw a punch straight at its chest. Following with a nimble turn, I delivered an uppercut to another robot on my left. Before I could press the advantage, another robot ahead raised its sword and charged at me. I stomped my feet hard, stepping back, but failed to notice the two robots I had just hit were now attacking from behind. Instantly, the health bar in my upper left corner decreased a bit more.
I dodged left and right, trying my best to avoid the robots' attacks while moving closer to the library exit. Constantly straining to evade was mentally draining, and my movements became less agile than before. The situation was growing increasingly perilous.
Fortunately, this account's character had high enough Agility, allowing me to narrowly escape danger again and again, just barely avoiding the robots' attacks. But who would have thought fate would play such a cruel trick?
Just as I was almost at the library exit, two more robots suddenly appeared ahead, lightsabers in hand, poised to launch a thunderous strike.
"Fierce tigers ahead, pursuers behind." It seemed impossible to dodge this attack, but the two robots remained frozen in the same pose for several seconds.
"Wu Yi, are you okay?" Xin Hui, holding a light blue lightsaber, stepped past the two frozen robots and came to my side.
"Leave this to me and Zi Qian. Your HP has taken quite a hit, you should first..."
Before Xin Hui could finish her sentence, the two robots resumed their actions.
Xin Hui shifted her body lightly, dodging their attacks one by one. She swung her sword to parry the red lightsaber from the robot on the right, then used the momentum of her movement to deliver a diagonal thrust, leaving a distinct blue streak of light in the air.
Xin Hui then pressed her attack continuously, her light blue lightsaber moving faster and faster, quickly dispatching the two robots at the door. After being slashed five or six times by Xin Hui, each robot made a sound like shattering glass before finally dissolving into red fragments and disappearing.
"Look out!"
