The next day, Chris and the others sat around the fire, discussing their battle plan over breakfast. Chris leaned forward and said, "Alright, I had the greens scout ahead, and from what they've found, the business district is just overrun with a small horde—about a quarter of the size we faced yesterday. So, Nobuyuki, Shinobu, Karen… I'll send a hundred browns with you three, and you guys will capture it. Okay?"
The trio nodded firmly. Nobuyuki adjusted his grip on his cup and said, "Understood. It shouldn't be too much of an issue."
Chris gave him a steady look and replied, "If you have to fall back, fall back. We can regroup and try again later."
Nobuyuki nodded again, a small, confident smile forming. "I appreciate the concern, boss, but we're stronger than you give us credit for."
Chris paused, staring at him thoughtfully before checking the trio's stats.

After looking through everything, Chris blinked and said, "Okay, first of all, why does Karen have so many skills related to traps?"
Momo raised her hand slightly, smiling with a foxlike sweetness. "She's a rogue. She got them from leveling," she said, her tone lilting with that gentle, teasing charm.
Chris sighed and replied, "Okay, I'm just gonna accept that and move on. Second of all, why are all of you maxed out and still on your first jobs?" "You all maxed out in the dungeon."
Momo's eyes darted away, and she began whistling innocently, staring off in every possible direction except at Chris.
Chris exhaled slowly. "She didn't tell you how, did she?"
The trio shook their heads in perfect synchronization.
"Go to the job tab and pick a new job," Chris said with a resigned wave.
The trio immediately did so—Nobuyuki selected Chef, Shinobu chose Healer, and Karen tapped Gamer with a curious look.
Their watches beeped:

Chris nodded approvingly. "Okay, those are actually pretty cool. If I wasn't already the Overlord, I'd be a bit jealous… especially of you, Karen."
But Karen wasn't listening. Her gaze trembled as she stared wide-eyed at her new ability. With a shaking hand, she tapped Avatar Embodiment.
A flash of white light exploded around her.
When it faded, Karen was gone—replaced by a small girl with short brown hair, pink eyes, a full pink military uniform, hat, gloves, and boots.
She burst into uncontrollable giggles. "I'm LLENN in real life! I can't believe it, this is amazing!"
She checked her inventory, squealed, and pulled out a pink P90. She hugged it tightly while everyone else slowly inched away from her, wearing various shades of concern.
Realizing what she was doing, Karen now llenn cleared her throat, straightened her posture, and said, "Please continue, boss."
Chris dragged a hand down his face but nodded. "Continuing from before I was distracted… the greens informed me that City Hall only has an elite undead and some regular zombies guarding it. They said the elite was smart enough to use guns, but still no big deal. Momo, Nana, I want you two to go conquer that area. It might seem simple, but you never know."
Momo smiled and said. "Understood. We can handle it."
Nana crossed her arms, tail flicking with excitement and replied. "Yeah, leave it to us. If something weird shows up, we'll crush it."
Chris nodded and continued, "Finally, the residential area. The greens reported the entire area was covered in a large white barrier that made them feel sick to their stomachs when they got near."
Gnarl leaned forward, eyes narrowing. "Sounds like holy magic. Whoever's in there could be dangerous."
"That's why I'm handling it personally," Chris replied. "If we're lucky, it's just a priest or something."
Momo leaned in slightly. "What's the worst case?"
Chris looked away. "We'll worry about that later. Now—everyone clear on the plan?"
They all nodded.
"Good. Let's move out."
As everyone headed toward their respective districts, Chris's watch chimed softly:
New Quest: Final Battle
Description: Conquer the three remaining districts
Reward: 1 Overlord level and blueprints for the Overlord's Tower
Chris smirked faintly. "Here we go," he said, walking toward the residential district.
As Chris approached the barrier he muttered, "I wonder how I'm gonna do this." After thinking for a moment, he raised his head and said, "The description of Evil Presence said it corrupts all it touches, not just living creatures. Wonder if this counts."
He held out his hand, using Evil Presence. A beam of dark energy shot from his palm, and he smiled as he watched the holy barrier crack and crumble under the influence of his spell. Within moments, the barrier collapsed completely.
Chris stepped forward, eyes widening at the now fully revealed residential district. It was nearly untouched—houses clean, streets intact, light fixtures unbroken, gardens still neat and bright. A small group of people peeked his way, but the instant he made eye contact, they scattered with panicked expressions and ran inside.
He let out a low laugh and said, "So this is where everyone's been hiding."
Moving further inside, he continued advancing until a sharp feminine voice rang out from above. "Stop!"
Chris lifted his gaze and saw a girl with neat long blonde hair, blue eyes, a white sailor-style uniform, white wings unfurled behind her back, and a glowing golden halo floating over her head.
He raised his watch, and it beeped:
Appraisal complete
Gabriel Tenma White
Description: A powerful young angel dispatched by Heaven to help humanity, but due to the malfunction of Lala Satalin Deviluke's machine, she and several others were pulled into this zombie-infested universe.
Classification: Final Boss for this city
Worth: 25 levels
Gabriel stared him down and declared, "Turn back, foul creature, or I will be forced to destroy you."
Chris muttered to himself, "Huh… that's different. She must've not become a Fallen Angel yet. Great, that means she'll fight me seriously. Fuck."
Looking back up at her, he said, "I'm afraid I'm here to conquer the rest of the city. As I speak, my subordinates are capturing the last two districts, leaving this one to me. And I can see you won't surrender, so I'll at least be nice enough to take this fight somewhere away from the houses so no one gets caught in the crossfire."
Gabriel crossed her arms and replied, "Very well. Meet me in the park over there, if you dare." She spread her wings, took off, and flew toward the park.
Chris followed her and found her waiting in the middle of the open field. He asked, "Before we begin, what's to stop you from flying away if you start losing?"
Gabriel's expression hardened. "The people you will surely massacre if I abandon them."
Chris smirked. "Fair enough." He spun his sword once in his hand. "Let's go."
Without another word, Gabriel shot skyward and immediately unleashed a storm of holy and light magic. Bolts streaked through the air toward Chris. He dodged as quickly as he could, but one bolt grazed his arm.
His watch chimed:
Health: –50 points
Chris hissed, "That shit took fifty points with just a graze. Fuck me, I've gotta get her out of the air."
He launched a barrage of fireballs upward. Gabriel dodged gracefully, her wings beating hard, but while she was distracted, Chris fired a concentrated blast of Evil Presence. The dark energy slammed into her, knocking her from the sky.
She hit the ground hard.
Chris activated Multi Strike, rushing forward with a burst of speed and slashing twice across her body. Gabriel staggered back, trying to launch herself skyward again, until Chris cast Vortex. The spell yanked her out of the air, pulling her violently to the ground and sending her tumbling across the park's grass.
Gabriel gritted her teeth, standing shakily, pain tightening her features. Realizing he wouldn't let her regain flight, she changed tactics and began charging an enormous amount of radiant energy.
Chris narrowed his eyes. "Final stand, huh? I can dig it." He cast a spell silently, hiding it from her view, then began weaving spells together—combining Fireball and Force Push into one powerful charge.
Gabriel unleashed her attack first—a towering beam of pure light ripping through the air toward him. Chris unleashed his own spell, a massive heat ray, the two attacks slamming into each other mid-air. The park lit up as both spells fought violently for dominance.
Chris grunted as he forced more energy into the spell, sweat dripping down his face. "Dragon Ball made this look so cool, but damn it's hard. And why is she so powerful?"
Gabriel's voice rang out, fierce and unwavering. "You cannot win, dark one! Good will always triumph over evil!"
Chris shouted back, "Yeah, you're right. I am evil! You know what that means, right?"
Gabriel yelled, "Enlighten me!"
"I cheat!"
From her blind spot, a spectral blade suddenly emerged and stabbed Gabriel in the side. She screamed in pain, losing focus, and Chris's beam overpowered hers, swallowing her whole. She was completely engulfed in the energy blast and slammed into the ground.
Chris ceased his spell and walked toward her fallen form. Gabriel lay barely alive, breathing weakly, staring up at him with fading eyes.
He said, "I'm gonna give you a choice. Join me and live or don't and die."
Gabriel trembled, struggling to stay conscious. "You're lying… there is no choice… I can see it in your eyes… I don't know how… but you have a way to make me join…"
With that final breath, Gabriel died.
Chris exhaled slowly. "You're right. It was never a choice."
He used Dark Reincarnation on Gabriel, resurrecting her as a Fallen Angel. As the spell completed, an ebony smartwatch materialized on her wrist, her wounds vanished, and her breathing steadied again and finally her white wings turned black and her halo turned silver and took on a sinister aura.
Chris summoned dozens of Greens. Then he slung Gabriel over his shoulder and started walking back toward the residential area. As he approached, Momo and Nana hurried over to join him. Shinobu, Nobuyuki, and Llenn followed close behind.
His watch suddenly beeped, the screen flashing brightly:

And finally, Chris saw the last three parts of the map turn from red to blue. A slow smile spread across his face, satisfaction settling in his chest as they reached the residential district.
Chris commanded the Greens to spread out and surround the district, his voice firm and resonant. "Don't let anyone leave," he ordered, watching as they melted into the shadows with predatory focus. He raised his voice and shouted, "Come out and you won't be harmed. If I don't see all of you in the next five minutes, we will come in after you!"
To his surprise, the threat worked. Murmurs rippled through the homes, doors creaked open, and everyone hiding inside stepped out to meet him. Their expressions were a mix of fear, resignation, and hope.
