"yeah your other son would be back soon and I'd be forgotten again" Ian said, pretending to be angry
"If you were as adorable as Finn, then I wouldn't have to be worried " Lily retorted
"Maaaaaaa... I'm your son you know " Ian gave Lily a look of disbelief
"I know, I know " Lily said comforting Ian "that's why I'm sad"
"Ma" Ian said as Lily burst into laughter
"Hmph, since you don't want me as a son then I'll leave. I'm sure Uncle Andre can afford to feed one more mouth" Ian said as he pretended to stand up
"I'm joking, I'm joking" Lily said as she quickly pulled Ian back to her side "your ma can still afford to take care of you"
"Ma... I'm hungry" Ian said rubbing his head in her arms and blinking his eyes cutely
He didn't care if he looked like a child right now, he would only ever act this way with his mother. Anyways Lily never complained but found it cute, so Ian could be as coquettish as he wanted
"Okay let's go eat, mama made your favorite for dinner tonight" Lily said as she patted Ian's head happily "Mama will even personally feed her baby tonight okay"
Lily happily pulled Ian to the dinning room

"I thought you said Theodore would be back today" Elini said as she gave her best friend the stink eye
"What's your obsession with my brother?" Irida asked curiously "he doesn't smile, barely says a few words, always like a big block of ice. Frowning and acting like the world owes him money or something" Irida continued
"You won't understand" Elini said as she rolled her eyes at Irida "he looks so manly, majestic, with his haircut and well tailored uniform. And his eyes, his eyes are so dreamy and whenever he raises an eyebrow to look at you, it makes me swoon" Elini said animatedly
Anyways she really liked Theodore. Elini has liked Theodore since she was a kid, from fascination and admiration into having a huge one sided love
"Are you sure we're talking about the same person?" Irida asked, giving Elini a weird look.
Elini always seemed to be normal and even mostly fierce on a normal day, but whenever Irida's brother is mention it's always like she becomes another person. Talking animatedly, giggling and squealing. In all it was truly weird to Irida
"My brother has never had a girlfriend or boyfriend, never looked at any lady more than a brief glance, and let's not forget the fact that there's also a twelve year she gap between the both of you" Irida said with a voice tinged with pity
"You're not only a minor but also my best friend. My brother thinks you're still a kid" Irida explained
"Don't dare ruin my mood" Elini said with a scoff "and besides, I'm going to be eighteen in a few months and I'm going to be a done with highschool in six months"
"You'd still be barely legal by then" Irida reminded Elini softly
"I rushed all the way to your house on such a cold day without caring about my health. I should be with my family right now, all cuddled up with a hot cup of chocolate watching a movie" Elini complained unhappily
"Fine I'm sorry" Irida said as she held Elini's hands
"He was actually supposed to be back today, just in time for the new year, but he said he had a last minute assignment that delayed his return trip a little" Irida explained "he called my dad earlier today that he was gonna make it back in time for dinner, so be a little patient dear best friend of mine "
"How about I stay for dinner?" Elini asked expectantly
"Sure why not" Irida replied with a smile
"Then it's settled. You're the best" Elini said excitedly. "Let's go set the table, it's almost time for dinner " Elini said pulling Irida up
"Don't you need to inform your dad or mom that you won't be coming home for dinner?" Irida asked defeatedly
"My mom knows Theodore is coming back today, so she won't bother making my share of dinner" Elini said confidently. "If she stops me from seeing Theo, she can definitely forget about getting a son in law"
"Elini you really can't be like this " Irida said as she tried to persuade Elini, but thinking about it again she decided to just give up. Elini was already foolishly in love, any advice would seem like nagging
"I'm going to be your sister in law" Elini affirmed with a smile
"Sure, sure, whatever you say" Irida sighed
"Dad, princess, Maria..... I'm home" Theodore's voice was heard from the front door
"He's back, he's back..." Elini squealed happily before dashing to the door
"Truly a fool in love" Irida smiled as she followed behind Elini
