Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Joyful Buddha

Swish!

The Woman waved her hand, and the red scissors instantly appeared in her hand, slashing directly towards Hayato's face.

In her dark gaze, a morbid madness flickered.

"Hmph!"

Hayato let out a cold snort, and the Vajra prayer beads in his hand flew out.

A phantom image of a wrathful Vajra appeared behind him, holding a Demon Subduing Pestle, descending with the prayer beads to suppress the Woman.

Seeing this scene, the black energy emanating from the Woman in black intensified.

Swish!

The scissors in her hand waved, colliding with the Vajra prayer beads without hesitation.

In just an instant, the red scissors were shattered by the prayer beads.

The Woman was also sent flying back over ten meters.

Raising her eyes filled with resentment and malice, she stared intently at Hayato, raised her hand, and black energy condensed, gradually forming the shape of scissors.

"Bang!"

Hayato's eyes turned cold, and he lunged forward.

Holding the prayer beads, empowered by Vajra strength, he directly hammered a punch onto the Woman's face.

Given the situation, he did not care about being gentle with women.

Especially since she was a demon.

Want to kill him?

Then die for this Buddha!

Hayato also did not know how much power was in his punch empowered by Vajra strength.

He directly used a string of prayer beads like brass knuckles.

As the punch landed, that beautiful face instantly twisted and deformed, her neck even twisted.

Hiss, quite tenacious.

Hayato looked at the Woman who seemed mostly unharmed, his eyes turning cold.

He grabbed the Woman's neck with one hand and pressed her to the ground, smashing down punch after punch.

Vajra brass knuckles, critical hits with every punch.

The condensed mass of black energy was dispersed again and again, with no time to reform.

Poof!

As the final punch landed, the head of the strange Woman being hammered on the ground exploded into a mass of black energy.

"Is it resolved?"

Hayato frowned, and soon saw the scattered black energy still converging towards the center.

Although this demon was much weaker, she was clearly still alive.

"She is really troublesome."

Seeing the crowd gradually appearing around, Hayato had no choice but to first subdue this demon with the Vajra prayer beads.

Swish!

The Vajra prayer beads, like chains, bound the Woman.

As the prayer beads shrank, they returned to his hand.

One of the prayer beads had already turned black.

Hayato put away the prayer beads and walked towards the subway station.

Rushing as fast as he could, he finally made it onto the last subway train.

..

By the time he returned to the Temple, it was already late at night.

Hayato took out the prayer beads and released the Woman sealed within.

"Monk!"

As soon as she was released, the Woman in black lunged at Hayato with a face full of resentment.

Swish!

A golden light rose, and the Woman's body was directly bounced back.

Looking around, she then discovered fourteen prayer beads scattered on the ground.

Between the prayer beads, a Buddha light connected, binding her within this three-square-foot space like a cage.

"Let me out!"

A strong malice emanated from the Woman, and she took out the red scissors, wanting to tear through the seal.

The scissors fell onto the Buddha light but crumbled instantly.

"Her nature is difficult to tame!"

Hayato glanced at the Woman, closed his eyes, and chanted the buddha scriptures.

Although he could subdue this demon, he couldn't kill her.

The only way now was to chant scriptures to transcend her and wash away her resentment.

"Monk, stop chanting, it's driving me crazy!"

The ethereal sound of the wooden fish mixed with the buddha scriptures, drilling into her mind like countless flies.

A look of pain appeared on the Woman's face.

Hayato ignored her and continued chanting.

At first, the Woman was still struggling, but as time passed, knowing that struggling was useless, she gradually calmed down.

Sitting on the ground with a look of despair, hugging her knees, she glared fiercely at the Monk in front of her.

The nascent morning light shone on his face, and Hayato opened his eyes, pretending not to see the malicious gaze beside him.

He put away the prayer beads and sealed the Woman in black once again.

The resentment on this demon was too deep; it couldn't be transcended in a short while.

Fortunately, he was not in a hurry; after all, what he lacked least was time.

He took out a few treasures he had acquired yesterday from his backpack.

A slightly broken Vajra Pestle, an old oil lamp, and a cracked jade piece.

The three items emitted a glow; although not as good as Dharma artifacts, they were considered objects with spiritual energy.

Such items that inherently possessed spiritual energy would inevitably become powerful Dharma artifacts after being strengthened.

Hayato pondered for a moment and picked up the Vajra Pestle.

The Vajra Pestle is a type of Dharma artifact in Buddhism, a symbol of firmness and indestructibility.

An ordinary Vajra Pestle has lantern-shaped ends, like a hammer.

But the Vajra Pestle in his hand was a bit different; one end was lantern-shaped, while the shape of the other end was somewhat indescribable.

Hayato lowered his head and looked, always feeling a bit similar.

The Vajra Pestle was covered in cracks, but a buddha could be vaguely seen carved on it.

It was just that the appearance of this buddha was not quite proper.

A male and a female; the male sat cross-legged, with his right leg bent significantly and his left leg bent less within his right leg.

The female faced the male, her legs spread, her plump buttocks resting on the male's left leg, their four arms embracing, their chests pressed tightly together, naked in a posture of union.

Hayato thought carefully for a moment before remembering the origin of this buddha.

Blissful Buddha!
